Guide Shen League of Legends S6

Ki Strike

Every 9 seconds, Shen's next attack will deal bonus magic damage equal to 4 + (6 × Shen's level) + (10% of Shen's bonus health). Whenever Shen hits an enemy unit with a basic attack, the cooldown is reduced by 1.5 seconds. Shen restores 10 / 20 / 30 energy when he Ki Strikes.

Tips :

Shen strikes his target by activating his passive.

Shen deals damage depending on his max HP

   More burst for Shen

Shen has to harass while he has his passive because it deals huge damage, you must use this passive in the lane phase during the trades with your opponents.

Shen has a lot of damage in the early.

Shen can proc his passive twice on his opponents in a trade if it lasts long enough.

The passive gives him energy, also when Shen attacks an opponent the passive's cooldown is reduced by 1 second, and by 2 seconds thanks to his W.

The cooldown reduction does not affect Shen's passive.

Vorpal Blade (Q)

Active: Shen throws a blade at the target enemy, dealing magic damage and marking them for 5 seconds. Allied champions that damage a marked enemy heal over 3 seconds, with the duration refreshing upon subsequent damage.

If Vorpal Blade kills the target, Shen heals for 33% of the normal amount instantly.

Range: 475

Cost: 60 energy

    Tips :

Shen throws a blade at his target.

    A harass and sustain spell

       A blade that hurts

Shen can easily harass his opponent with Vorpal Blade. The spell's weak cooldown lets Shen, who has no mana, be able to put pressure on his opponent. This 'only' costs 60 energy.

Shen can also heal himself by using his blade's debuff on his target. The objective is to harass your opponent and always be pretty much full of HP. If your opponent doesn't have sustain you can quickly zone him if you manage to do good trades in the lane phase.

The heal will also benefit your teammates!

If you last hit with this spell you will ONLY heal by 33% in 1 second, this is not interesting so it is better to do it on a sbire and then attack him to heal! Attacking the sbire again will refresh the heal which works over 3 seconds.

      Damage: 60 / 100 / 140 / 180 / 220 (+ 60% AP)

      Heal: 6 / 10 / 14 / 18 / 22 (+ 1.5% Shen's maximum health)

      Cooldown: 6 / 5.5 / 5 / 4.5 / 4

    Feint (W)

Active: Shen gains a shield that absorbs a certain amount of damage. The shield dissipates after 3 seconds if not already destroyed. While the shield persists, Shen's basic attacks reduce the cooldown of Ki Strike by 3 seconds.

    Cost: 50 energy

      Tips :

Shen benefits from a shield when he activates his spell.

      Damage absorption

         Activate the passive more often
This lets Shen take heavy damage so that he can handle a harass in trades.

When Shen is not broken, he can recover his Ki Strike faster.

This spell doesn't have a casting time so it is possible to activate it at the last moment if you have good timing.

When Shen has a lot of resistance, it becomes very difficult for the enemy to break his shield, especially if you choose to quickly upgrade it during the game.

        DaShield: 70 / 115 / 160 / 205 / 250 (+ 60% AP)

        Cooldown: 9 / 8 / 7 / 6 / 5

      Shadow Dash (E)

Active: Shen dashes along a target line, dealing magic damage to enemy champions he contacts and taunting them for 1.5 seconds. Enemies deal half damage to Shen while they are taunted. Shen gains 40 energy for each enemy champion he contacts.

      • Cost: 120 energy pts
      • Range: 575
      Tips :

Shen charges in the targeted direction!

A dash to provoke enemy champions

         Excellent control/escape
This is Shen's control, that lets him hinder the enemy team in a teamfight. You will need to touch as many targets as possible for both the control and the energy the the spell will give you! The energy will be very important following the teamfight.

Lets Shen go through walls, which is very good for following his target or to escape.

This only hits champions, Shen does not have AoE with his spell to push quickly.

Provoking an opponent under the tower gives him aggro as soon as he touches you; it is even more interesting to provoke a target just after his attack when he is in range of the tower so that he will be focused!

If someone tries to kill you under your tower it is interesting to provoke the enemy player who has aggro from the tower so that he takes a few hits. If you provoke him at the start he will often withdraw in time to survive.

        Damage: 50 / 80 / 110 / 140 / 190 (+ 50% AP)

        Cooldown: 16 / 14 / 12 / 10 / 8

      Stand United (R)

Active: Targeting allied champion gains a shield that absorbs a certain amount of damage. The shield dissipates after 5 seconds if it has not already been destroyed. After 3 seconds of channeling, Shen teleports to the allied champion.

        Tips :

The lights show that Shen is teleporting onto the player

The shield/teleport spell to help your team

An excellent spell to have presence on the map
When he is channeling the spell, Shen can be interrupted which will prevent him from teleporting onto the ally, but the shield will still be cast.

The range of this spell is global, so you can have presence at the other side of the map. It is also possible to split push and create a situation of 4 v 5 if you manage to channel your ultmate without being interrupted.

Unlike with the teleport, the ultimate cannot be interrupted by Shen!

The teleport will still work even if the shield has been broken by enemy damage, however Shen will not teleport if his teammate dies before he has finished channeling the spell.

Shen's ultilmate does not make invisible teammates visible, this can be good for ganks with a Shaco who arrives in melee at the moment of the teleport, for example.

Careful during Nocturne's ultimate, it is not possible for Shen to teleport in any way.

          Shield: 250 / 550 / 850 (+ 150% AP)

          Cooldown: 180 / 150 / 120

        Pros

Has presence on the whole map with his ultimate, so he can split push and make the enemy team crazy so he can easily do the dragons, take the towers or even do the nashor.

Some very good sustain in the lane.

        Difficult to gank.

        A lot of mobility.

        Has a lot of controls.

        Cons

Difficult to push a lane without adapted items.

The champion stuggles in teamfights very late in the game si he can't use his power to split push.

Requires an aggressive play in the early to dominate his opponent.

Careful not to use his taunt when the enemy jungler is there as this could cost you dear!

The teleport on Shen's ultimate can be interrupted quite easily by a bump or control  if you don't back off far under your tower.
