Guide Draven League of Legends S6

League of Draven

Tips :

Black blood shows the effect of Draven's passive.

Spinning Axe (Q)

(Active): Draven's next attack will deal bonus physical damage. The bonus is equal to a percentage of his total attack damage.

This axe will ricochet off the target high up into the air. So long as Draven catches it, Spinning Axe will keep applying to his next attack.

Cooldown permitting, Draven can have up to two Spinning Axes readied at once.

  • Cost: 45 mana
Tips :

Once Draven attacks with his A the weapon bounces off after impact with the opponent and a mark appears on the ground to show where it has fallen.

Draven's burst and the difficulties of this champion

   Draven's blades must be recovered.
This is Draven's main harass spell, one which inflicts enormous damages and activates the passive, however it is necessary to pick up the blades once they have dropped to the ground.

The bades take 2 seconds to hit the ground after impact and if Draven collects them his next attack is a Spinning Axe. Draven can accumulate 2 axes that we can see turn in his hands. Once the axe has fallen it leaves a mark on the ground that is visible to both teams, meaning that the opposing team can play in anticipation of Draven's moves, for example they might grab him with Blitz, and you must be aware of this.

Managing this spell well means that you can permanently have two axes without the cost of extra mana.

Collecting the axes requires training. Where the axes fall depends on the speed of the movement and the direction chosen just before the impact of the blade.
If Draven doesn't move before the blade's impact then the blade will fall nearby. It is possible to type S to block Draven before the impact and thus have the axe fall nearby.
If Draven is moving then it will fall in front of him or slightly to the side of his trajectory depending on where Draven will be while keeping the speed of his movement. Also if you use the speed bonus just after impact then you should get an axe, but if you use a control or slowdown while the axe is flying it will greatly reduce you chances of recuperating it.

Draven must attack quickly so as to conserve his axes, and this is triggered as soon as Draven casts a spell or throws an axe. The buff of the Spinning Axe lasts 6 seconds, during which Dravenmust recuperate an axe or recast the spell so that he doesn't lose his frist axe.
Attacking a building will allow you to recover the buff without the blade bouncing back and therefore without creating the damages bonus.
Even if it is only possible to hold two axes at once it is, however, possible to activate the spell once the axes are already in flight so as to have a third making Draven a bit of a juggler, but this requires a lot of talent.
Activating the spell so that Draven is already holding 2 axes will not add more axes but it will allow you to recuperate the 6 second buff and this can be useful to prevent you losing them.

The spell does not reset the attack time.

Only one passive stack is created if the Spinning Axe is critical.

If there is a Draven in the opposing team then you can recover his axes, it would have the same effect, but this isn't useful in ranked games because once a champion has been chosen he is blocked for the opposing team.

It is complicated in the lategame to recover the axes ecause you will not necessarily have the time and you will often have an important speed attack.

    Cooldown: 12 / 11 / 10 / 9 / 8 seconds

    Bonus Physical Damage: 45 / 55 / 65 / 75 / 85 % of attack damage

Blood Rush (W)

(Active): Draven gains increased movement speed for 1.5 seconds and increased attack speed for 3 seconds. The movement speed bonus decreases rapidly over its duration.

Catching a Spinning Axe will refresh Blood Rush's cooldown.

  • Cost: 40 mana
  • Cooldown: 12 seconds
Tips :

Draven moves quickly and displays a white aura around his feet.

Draven's mobility spell

   Now for some speed attacks
This is a good spell to chase and to escape.

When Draven attacks an opponent he can use a bonus to gain distance while attacking with his blades. The bonus from moving only lasts 1.5 seconds but each time that Draven collects a blade he can cast a new spell, though this will cost him some mana.

Activating this spell while it is still active will extend it again to its normal duration.

The spell doesn't have incantation time so it can be cast without interrupting Draven's movement.

During an agressive phase it is best to activate the spell before the impact of the axe so that its point of impact is calculated considering the fast movement bonus.

This movement bonus also lets you avoid skillshots.

    Bonus Movement Speed: 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60 %

    Bonus Attack Speed: 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 %

Stand Aside (E)

(Active): Draven throws his axes, dealing physical damage to targets hit and knocking them aside. Targets hit are slowed for 2 seconds.

  • Cost: 70 mana
Tips :

This spell is a line that pushes back opponents from one another.

Draven's control

   A bump and a slowdown.
Stand Aside lets you slow down opponents for 2 seconds but also to push them in the wrong direction..

The projection, which is at right angles to the position of the blade, can also serve to cut off an opponent.

tand Aside can also let you push back your opponents and win a bit of time during one escape or another.

Since it is a projection spell it is able to block an opponent's dash, like Graves', Leona's or Corki's... If you cast a spell at the same time then this will block the spell on impact.

    Cooldown: 18 / 17 / 16 / 15 / 14 seconds

    Physical Damage: 70 / 105 / 140 / 175 / 210 (+0.5 per bonus attack damage)

    Slow: 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 %

Whirling Death (R)

(Active): Draven hurls two massive axes in a given direction, dealing physical damage to every unit struck.

Upon reaching the edge of the map, striking an enemy champion or upon the reactivation of Whirling Death, the axes will slowly come to a stop before changing direction and returning to Draven: dealing the same damage to every unit struck on the way back.

Whirling Death deals 8% less damage for each unit hit, down to a minimum of 40%. The damage reduction resets when the axes reverse direction.

  • Cost: 120 mana
  • Range: Global
Tips :

Two saws move very quickly along the ground until they meet a champion on the map and then they return back towards Draven at the time he commands

Draven's global multi target ultimate.

To finish off opponents from the other side of the map or inflict important damages.
This spell lets you kill your target if you manage to anticipate his trajectory.

This is a spell with a range that encompasses the whole map, therefore you can kill an opponent who is trying to return to their base by teleporting under his turret.

Be careful not to touch a champion before touching the target that interests you, if it is not close enough, because the axes will do a half turn.

You can also use your ultimate to push your lane quickly. This can touch up to 2 waves if correctly aligned.

he ultimate is an excellent spell to finish off your opponent because even if he flashes you will still be in range. The spell moves quickly so when the blades are returning it can be useful to order Draven to move because the blades will head towards Draven and you can make a hit during the return if you missed your target to begin!

    Cooldown: 110 / 100 / 90 seconds

    Physical Damage (one hit): 175 / 275 / 375 (+1.1 per bonus attack damage)

Maximum Physical Damage (single target): 350 / 550 / 750 (+2.2 per bonus attack damage)

Minimum Physical Damage (one hit): 70 / 110 / 150 (+0.44 per bonus attack damage)

Minimum Phyiscal Damage (two hits): 140 / 220 / 300 (+0.88 per bonus attack damage)
