Guide Udyr League of Legends S6

Monkey's Agility

(Innate): Udyr's attack speed is increased by 10% for 5 seconds each time he switches stances. This effect can stack up to 3 times. Switching stances sets off a 1.5 second global cooldown.

Tips :

This passive gives Udyr attack speed in a teamfight, letting him do more DoT.

It stacks quite well with the passive of the Tiger Stance.

Tiger Stance (Q)

(Stance) – Activation: Udyr's next attack will deal his current attack damage in addition to magic damage over 2 seconds. In addition, Udyr gains an attack speed buff for 5 seconds. This stacks additively with his persistent attack speed bonus.

Persistent effect: Udyr's attack speed is increased.

  • Cooldown: 6 seconds.
Tips :

Udyr benefits from an attack speed boost, letting him deal more damage as well as push faster.

The damage of the spell's active gives Udyr red hands, it is also permanent when Udyr doesn't attack a target. So it is possible to do it at level 1, to be able to fire out DoT then go back to Tiger Stance 2 seconds after to redo the proc on DoT again.

    Cost: 55 / 50 / 45 / 40 / 35 mana

    Total Magic Damage: 30 / 80 / 130 / 180 / 230 (+1.5 per attack damage)

    Persistent Attack Speed Bonus: 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 %

    Activation Attack Speed Bonus: 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 %

Turtle Stance (W)

(Stance) – Activation: Udyr gains a shield that absorbs damage for 5 seconds or until it has absorbed the full amount of damage.

Persistent effect: Udyr's attacks cannot crit, but they restore a percentage of his damage as health and mana.

  • Cooldown: 6 seconds
Tips :

Udyr can tank with his shield, especially if damage is absorbed after the armour reduction.

This gives Udyr sustain in the lane phase so that he can heal himself with his harass.

    Cost: 55 / 50 / 45 / 40 / 35 mana

    Shield Strength: 60 / 95 / 130 / 165 / 200 (+0.5 per ability power)

    Damage to Health Restored Ratio: 10 / 12 / 14 / 16 / 18 %

    Damage to Mana Restored Ratio: 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 %

Bear Stance (E)

(Stance) – Activation: Udyr gains increased movement speed for a few seconds.

Persistent effect: Udyr mauls his enemies with such force that they are stunned for 1 second when they are hit. This effect can only occur once every 6 seconds on the same target.

  • Cooldown: 6 seconds
Tips :

Excellent to escape or chase, this spell lets you stun. You should count the 6 seconds in your head to be able to stun your target again afterwards.

Augmenting the Bear Stance will also let you lengthen the movespeed, making it a very interesting solution to having an uncatchable Udyr.

    Cost: 55 / 50 / 45 / 40 / 35 mana

    Movement Speed Bonus: 15 / 18 / 21 / 24 / 27 %

    Movement Speed Duration: 2 / 2.5 / 3 / 3.5 / 4 seconds

Phoenix Stance (R)

(Stance) – Activation: Udyr sends out pulsing waves of fire dealing magic damage each second to nearby enemies for 5 seconds. During this time Udyr's ability power and attack damage are increased.

Persistent effect: Every third attack, Udyr engulfs the enemies in front of him in flames, dealing magic damage.

  • Cooldown: 6 seconds
  • Flame range: 625
  • Wave diameter: ~500
Tips :

This spell lets him quickly push the lane and clear the jungle very quickly.

In teamfights it is important to position Udyr so that the 3rd attack touches the maximum number of opponents.

    Cost: 55 / 50 / 45 / 40 / 35 mana

    Activation's Magic Damage Per Wave: 15 / 25 / 35 / 45 / 55 (+0.25 per ability power)

    Activation's Total Magic Damage: 75 / 125 / 175 / 225 / 275 (+1.25 per ability power)

    Magic Damage Per Third Attack: 40 / 80 / 120 / 160 / 200 (+0.25 per ability power)

Pros

Huge damage in the lane phase from the early.

Sustain in Turtle Stance that can freeze easily.

The Bear Stance for escape or chase and stun.

The Tiger Stance can be proced twice if used well.

The Phoenix Stance to clean a wave in AoE.

Huge damage in teamfights if Udyr manages to reach the carry.

Very powerful while he has enough movespeed.

Cons

Fears controls in teamfights.

Quite easy to kite if Udyr doesn't have enough movespeed.

Difficult to reach a long range target because he has no gap closer.

No real escape apart from his Bear Stance.
