This guide will provide you with the fastest and least expensive way to level your Tailoring skill up from 1 to 600. The guide is up to date for WoW patch 5.0.5

You will need a huge amount of cloth, which will cost a lot to buy. However, if you farm to get them yourself then it will take you a lot of time to get everything (and as the old goblin saying goes: time is money!). So make your choice! Personally I chose to farm the instances to collect the material. Tailoring is good combined with Enchanting because you will be able to disenchant most items you craft to upgrade your skill. A gathering profession can also be useful if you want to make a bit of gold on the side. If you have a guild or friends ready to help you then you can do what you want!

Number of materials required (approx.) to level your skill up from 1 to 600:
