Mission Mode Walkthrough

Story Mode

Episode 1

  1. Once you have chosen your character and the game begins, follow the on-screen information to learn your basic control maneuvers. Once you have them down fairly well, move forward from the starting point.
  2. Follow the red arrow on your map in the top right corner of your screen until members of your tram begin commenting on the landscape. Once you reach a certain point, a green forcefield will drop and enemies known as Hollows will appear.
  3. Eliminate every single Hollow in the area with a series of basic combination strikes. You will also learn more advanced fighting techniques as you battle the enemies, so use this opportunity to become adept in these maneuvers as well.
  4. Try to keep your combo going as long as possible by quickly moving from one group of Hollows to the next and your skill level will improve. Once all the enemies are eliminated, head towards the green structure with a narrow doorway cut into it.
  5. Slash through the green structure and continue forward to the dotted boundary line to activate a cut scene. Afterwards, you will learn the Dash Movement, so become familiar with that as soon as possible to make territories you travel to in the future easier to navigate around.
  6. Move forward towards the two green structures and eliminate any Hollows you encounter along the way to pick up the soul orbs. When you encounter the moving herd of disembodied skulls, stand in front of them and slash away to earn as many points and soul orbs as you can.
  7. Once all enemies in this area defeated, pick up the pressure booster and follow the red arrow icon to the next clearing with a green structure. You will need to continue eliminating Hollows that emerge from the ground as you go.
  8. Once you reach the clearing, you will learn how to guard and evade. Practice these maneuvers during this battle as well to keep your defensive game strong.
  9. You will now be charged with defeating the Slug Tortoise. Run towards it and jump as it drops back onto all fours to avoid its shockwave attack. Eliminate the Hollows that appear around the Slug Tortoise, before wasting any attacks on the larger enemy himself.
  10. Stay near the Slug Tortoise as you defend yourself from other enemies and wait for it to rise onto two feet. You will only have a few seconds before he drops back down, so use a jumping attack combo on his stomach to flip the Slug Tortoise onto its back.
  11. Once the Slug Tortoise is on its back, strike it repeatedly with combo attacks until it flips back over. When he appears to be rolling back onto his feet, jump up and away from him to avoid another shockwave blast.
  12. Continue fending off the Hollows that appear and knocking the Slug Tortoise onto its back for combo attacks until it’s defeated. You may now pick up any health or pressure upgrades in the area and move in the direction of the red indicator arrow to activate a cut scene.
  13. You will now be informed with locking-on maneuvers and faced with defeating the Menos Grande. As this challenge starts, run straight towards the boss and avoid any fireballs he shoots at you, then lock onto his head.
  14. Use the lock-on dashing maneuver multiple times to fly up towards his head and attack the Menos Grande’s until he calls in for back up. You will now have three Menos Grandes to deal with. Eliminate the Menos Grandes one at a time with the same dashing maneuver and combo attack directed towards their heads.
  15. It would be wise to not linger in the same spot while attacking, as eventually the bosses will shoot their fireballs down at you. You will also want to stay away from their feet as they are prone to kick you across the desert after a few moments. Once in a while the Menos Grandes will release a yellow forcefield around themselves and you should avoid attack them during this time until they are unguarded again.
  16. Once all three of the Menos Grandes have been eliminated, the level will be complete. If you have trouble during this boss stage, there are containers with health upgrades inside scattered randomly near the three enemies.
  17. Achievement / Trophy Unlocked: I’ll Try! (Bronze): Beat 1 Story episode.

Episode 2

  1. You will now be using Uryu Ishida as a playable character. When the episode begins, use the on-screen guide to become adept with his fighting maneuvers which include attacks that use archery.
  2. Move forward down the hall and into the next room where multiple rows of skull enemies will be floating along the walls. To defeat this enemies efficiently, lock onto the heads one by one and eliminate them using your arrows.
  3. Once a skull has been destroyed, immediately start moving in any direction to avoid the fireballs thrown at you from the remaining enemies. After all enemies in this room have been destroyed, the more traditional variety of Hollow will appear in the nearby hall so take them out as well.
  4. When the Hollows are defeated, you can move down the hallway indicated by the red arrow. Eliminate the skulls floating at the top of the steps with arrows you fire while running towards them, then continue through the hall.
  5. Eliminate the Hollows as you go until you enter the next room that drops a green forcefield around you. You will now be charged with defeating the Arrancar Vuelo in the area. Stay on the move, firing your arrows at the enemies that resemble floating white ghosts or use your sword if they get close enough.
  6. When the Arrancar Vuelo are preparing to come at you in a spiraling attack, you will hear them start to moan. Remove the lock-on crosshairs from your current target when you hear this moan so that you can dodge this attack successfully, then return to your previous strategy.
  7. Once the Arrancar Vuelo in the area are eliminated, the forcefield will drop and you can continue down through the hallway. Eliminate the skulls and Hollows you encounter while following the red arrow indicator around the castle until you cross the dotted boundary line.
  8. After you teleport, take the hallway to the right and follow it around to eliminate a herd of skulls, then enter the large room to have another green forcefield block your escape.
  9. You will now have to face off against three Slaughter Tortoises in this enclosed space. Use the same technique that you practiced before on the Slug Tortoise and take them on one at a time to make things easier.
  10. These enemies will tend to work together so if you see one of them stomp down to create a shock wave, then chances are the other two will follow in suit. Approach one of the enemies to make them stand, then use a jumping combo on him to stay in the air long enough to avoid the shock waves from the other two.
  11. You will also need to be on the look-out for pink fireballs that will home in on your position. If you use powerful enough attacks on the Slaughter Tortoises, you should be able to eliminate them after only knocking them on their backs once or twice. There is a health power-up in the corner of the room if you need it.
  12. Once the three enemies are defeated, continue through the hallway indicated by the red arrow and eliminate previously-encountered enemies in large groups as you go. These groups will floating enemies so use arrow combo attacks to take them out efficiently.
  13. When you reach a dead end with a large crack at the bottom of the wall, slash at it repeatedly to break through to the other side and cross the dotted boundary line.
  14. After the cut scene, you will be charged with defeating the Arrancars in the area. Run forward towards them and eliminate the smaller enemies you encounter with melee attacks from your sword. The larger enemies will cause you significant damage if you get too close, so use arrow attacks to take them out.
  15. You can also use your arrows to take out the smaller enemies in the distance, but you may want to save the energy on your bow for the large ones. You may also need to retreat to opposite ends of the area when the larger enemies come towards you quickly, so these moments can also be used to take out distant threats with melee attacks.
  16. Once all enemies in the area are defeated, the episode will be complete. There are health and ignition upgrades in the corner if you need them.

Episode 3

  1. You will now be back to using Ichigo Kurosaki as the playable character. When the episode begins, run forward across the desert and dispatch with the first group of Hollows. Once they are all defeated, continue towards the red arrow indicator until a forcefield rises around you.
  2. You are now charged with eliminating the Cruel Wings in the area. They rely more on their ability to move away from your lock-on attacks than anything they can perform offensively. Take the Cruel Wings out one at a time by running straight towards them to get as close as possible and using air combos.
  3. Once they are eliminated, continue towards the red arrow indicator and eliminate the enemies in your path along the way. Cross over the dotted boundary line to teleport to the next area.
  4. Once you have teleported, move across the desert by following the trail of large red cylinders in the ground. Eliminate whatever Hollows or Cruel Wings that attack you along the way to reach a clearing with a collection of rocks in the middle.
  5. You will now face off against the Fishbone. Keep your distance from him and ignore any minor Hollow enemies he sends your way. You will also need to stay out of the direction in which the Fishbone faces as he will clap his hands to emit a damaging burst of wind.
  6. Lock onto the Fishbone and use a series of long ranged attacks to damage him, then finish him off with a powerful melee combo when you feel the time is right. After you defeat the first one, two more Fishbones will appear so eliminate them in the same manner, but stay on the move to avoid being flanked.
  7. Continue across the desert in the same manner as before and eliminate any enemies ahead until you cross the dotted boundary line. After the cut scene, you will be charged with eliminating Grimmjow.
  8. Start with long-ranged attacks to slow his momentum or knock him off his feet. Once he is in a stationary position, move in and use combination melee strikes to continue draining his health. After a couple of combinations, back away from Grimmjow before he has a chance to retaliate and return to long-ranged attacks.
  9. If you are taking too much damage, stay on the move and jump consistently during Grimmjow’s attacks or use the surrounding obstacles as temporary cover. After the cut scene in the middle of the fight, use more powerful attacks via the Circle button to finish Grimmjow off for good and complete the episode.

Episode 4

  1. You will now take on the role of Kenpachi Zaraki as a playable character. As the episode begins, become accustomed to his fighting technique, which is similar to that of Ichigo Kurosaki, and move forward across the desert.
  2. Eliminate the Hollows and other enemies that arise as you follow the trail of scattered rocks towards the red arrow indicator. When you reach a certain section of this path, a forcefield will appear and you will be charged with defeating the Terror Gigant.
  3. Run straight towards the Terror Gigant, moving in a weaving pattern to avoid the blue fireballs he spews, and get around behind him. Use combo attacks to defeat the large enemy while fending off the Hollows that will swarm around you.
  4. Once the first Terror Gigant is defeated, another will appear on the opposite side of the area. To drop the forcefield, repeat the previous attacks strategy to defeat this one and another that appears after that.
  5. Follow the red indicator arrow, while eliminating Hollows, to cross the dotted boundary line and teleport to the next area. Continue forward, following the arrow on the map, to eliminate the Cruel Wings and the Hollows, then approach the stone wall with the large crack running up the middle.
  6. Slash the wall to break through to the other side and take the path that forks off to the left. If you take the path to the right, you can find more upgrades and eliminate a heard of skull heads to increase your soul orb collection, but it’s ultimately a dead end.
  7. Eliminate the Terror Gigant and other enemies, then follow the red arrow indicator to another stone wall and smash through it. Smash through another stone wall and move forward, then collect the upgrades and cross the dotted boundary line to activate a cut scene. You will now be charged with defeating the boss, Nnoitora.
  8. After the cut scene, run straight towards Nnoitora and use long-ranged to knock him backwards. Once he is on the ground or stops moving, use combo attacks to pop him into the air and continue striking him repeatedly. If at any time he appears to be standing his ground against your attacks, back off to avoid retaliation.
  9. After a while Nnoitora will start to glow and his attacks will increase in strength. At this point, stay on the move using long ranged attacks to keep him at bay until another cut scene activates.
  10. After the cut scene, continue keeping your distance by using long-ranged attacks and keep him locked on to avoid his surprise teleportation strikes. If you run out of energy for long-range use jumping attacks to deal Nnoitora damage, but retreat as soon as he seems ready for retaliation.
  11. When his health is at particularly low level, less than a quarter remaining, move in and use your power attack via the Circle button to finish him off and complete the episode.

Episode 5

  1. You will now take on the role of Rukia Kuchiki. You can learn her specific fighting techniques for more efficient gameplay, but she operates generally the same as any of the other sword-carrying characters.
  2. When the episode begins, run forward towards the red indicator arrow on your map and eliminate any enemies that appear in your path. You will encounter both the plump Arrancar that use twirling attacks and the Arrancar Vuelo. Either of these enemies can easily be defeated with long ranged attacks.
  3. Follow the arrow around a corner and into a shadowy canyon, then defeat the floating herds of skulls that come towards you. Upon exiting this area, a forcefield will rise and you will be charged with defeating the Arrancar Sotano.
  4. Ignore the Arrancar Vuelos for now and approach the Sotanos. Their two primary methods of attack are to send their spiked tentacles through the sand to emerge beneath you or to dive under the ground themselves and burrow in your direction. In either case, watch the sand beneath your feet for indications that they will attack from below and dodge out of the way before they strike.
  5. When these enemies are not attacking, they pretty much stand motionless in one place for a decent amount of time. Use these opportunities to strike them with combo maneuvers and they should be defeated easily. Once all of the Arrancar Sotanos are defeated, continue moving towards the red indicator arrow to cross the dotted boundary line and teleport to the next area.
  6. When you teleport to the new area, run forward and eliminate the enemies in your path. Follow the map indicator through a shadowy canyon and into a clearing where you will face off against more enemies, including a group of Arrancar Sotanos.
  7. Move through another shadowy canyon and exit into a large clearing with two enormous gray pillars to activate the cut scene. You will now have to face off against an extensive number of Exequias.
  8. These enemies are essentially underlings for a greater boss you must defeat next so they will go down fairly quickly. Attack the largest clustering of Exequias that you can find and use combination melee strikes to eliminate them and any others that try to surround you. This is probably the fastest method to get them out of the way and it can get your combo numbers in the triple digits.
  9. Once the Exequias are all defeated, pick up whatever upgrades are nearby and cross the dotted boundary line to activate the cut scene. You will now be charged with defeating a boss enemy called Rudobon.
  10. To begin with, lock onto Rudobon and run around him in a circle while using long ranged attacks to cause him minor damage. This will help you avoid the underlings he deposits around the area and get a good indication of when and for how long he chooses to go on offense.
  11. When you find the lull in Rudobon’s attacks, usually after about three bursts of shockwaves, move in closer. Now, jump into the air to either perform a melee combo attack at a distance that requires physical contact or a long-ranged combo attack at a short distance.
  12. The melee will cause Rudobon more damage, but require you to fend off his underlings. The long-ranged will cause him slightly less damage, but will keep you out of harm’s way should he suddenly retaliate.
  13. Repeat the previous attack strategy until Rudobon’s life is completely drained, then perform a powerful mid-air strike via the Circle button to freeze him. Once you execute a freeze attack as your final blow, Rudobon will be defeated and the episode will end.

Episode 6

  1. Move forward to follow the red arrow indicator up the series of staircases and through the hallway. Eliminate multiple waves of Exequias and Arrancar Vuelos as you go, collecting the upgrades and soul orbs along the way.
  2. When you reach the large room on the upper floor, a forcefield will rise to block your escape. You will now have to clear the two adjacent rooms on either side of Arrancar enemies.
  3. From where you enter, the room on the right will hold a less threatening degree of Arrancar that can be eliminated by unrelenting combo attacks. The room on the left will have larger and more damaging Arrancar that need to be attacked and retreated from repeatedly in the vein of a “stick-and-move” type strategy.
  4. Once all enemies in both rooms are defeated, the forcefield will drop and you can follow the red indicator across the dotted boundary line. You will now teleport to a new area of the castle.
  5. Use a series of melee and long-ranged attack to clear the enemies in this room, then move up the steps and choose a path to the next dotted boundary line. For the purposes of this walkthrough, let’s say you take a right at the top of the stairs.
  6. A forcefield will rise as you enter the next room and you will needs to eliminate the Arrancar Sotano in the area. Ignoring the Exequias, move between each of the primary enemies as quickly as possible to eliminate them with combo attacks before they go on the offensive.
  7. Once the forcefield drops, continue up the next set of steps and follow the hallway around into the next room, eliminating more enemies as you go. When you reach the last staircase, four of the larger-sized enemies will be waiting.
  8. Use combo attacks on all four large enemies at once until you have taken more damage than you’re comfortable with, then try and eliminate them with a powerful strike via the Circle button. Once they are defeated, continue up the next stair and cross the dotted boundary line to teleport.
  9. Move forward through the hall and collect as many upgrades and soul orbs as you can along the way, then approach the green wall to activate the cut scene. You will now be charged with defeating Ulquiorra.
  10. As the battle begins, run towards Ulquiorra and lock onto him. Now use as many long-range attacks as possible to cause him damage. Once he has fallen on his back, approach him and continue dealing damage.
  11. Ulquiorra relies mostly on his sped during combat, so melee attacks will only work if you have knocked him down or while using the sprint button. Other than that, he will fly above you to avoid these blows, so at these moments it’s usually a safer bet to attack with a constant stream of long-ranged strikes.
  12. After losing a significant amount of health, Ulquiorra will glow green and his attacks will become more powerful. Stick to just attacking him at long-range, but if you get too far away he will have no trouble evading these strikes by the time they reach him.
  13. Continue the barrage of long-ranged attacks until Ulquiorra is defeated to complete this episode.

Episode 7

  1. You will take on the role of Hollowfied Ichigo. You can become adept with the changes in his fighting technique for more efficient gameplay, but he operates basically the same as the normal version of Ichigo.
  2. Your task upon entering this episode is to defeat Ulquiorra again. Encircle him at a distance, while occasionally sprinting to avoid his new fireball attacks and unleash multiple long-ranged strikes. These will have little effect on his health at first, but it’s only the first part of your attack.
  3. After striking Ulquiorra multiple times with long-ranged attacks, tighten your circular path around him until you can use a melee assault. Use the most basic sword combination of hitting the Square button repeatedly to perform an attack that pops Ulquiorra into the air, then strikes him back down.
  4. Continue the melee combination until Ulquiorra starts glowing green or blocks one of your attacks, then retreat to a safe distance. You must now return to striking from long-range while moving in a sprinting circle. When he stops glowing or finishes his offensive flurry, you can then move back in for more melee strikes.
  5. Repeat this attack strategy until Ulquiorra is defeated to complete this episode.

Episode 8

  1. During this episode you will take on the role of Toshiro Hitsugaya as a playable character and enter a new city skyrise setting . When the episode begins, familiarize yourself with his specific combat maneuvers for more efficient gameplay. Hitsugaya’s overall movement will be more fluid than usual, since he is either floating or flying from place-to-place, and his advanced attacks will unleash magical powers associated with ice.
  2. Fly forward and eliminate the floating enemies that attack, then jump onto the next rooftop ahead. When you jump onto the second rooftop in front of you, a forcefield will rise and you will need to defeat the Arrancars in the area.
  3. Eliminate these enemies as you have before by first picking off the Arrancar Sotano. After the forcefield drops, drop down on the next rooftop ahead to collect the items and power-ups, then jump off the ledge towards the red arrow indicator.
  4. As you approach the next rooftop, you will be surrounded by underlings and a Doom Gigant will appear in the distance. In the same manner that you would attack a Slaughter Tortoise, sprint forward and get behind the Gigant to eliminate him first, while fending off the other enemies.
  5. When the area is clear jump onto the next rooftop ahead. A forcefield will rise and you will need to defeat more Arrancars. Once they are defeated continue across the dotted boundary line to teleport to the next area.
  6. You now have three rooftop options, all of which may require eliminating enemies that you’ve encountered before. Two of these rooftops are dead ends while one will lead you to the next objective.
  7. The rooftop ahead of you contains only items inside barrels with no actual route that leads to your current objective. The rooftop to the right has a large Hollow enemy and leads to a helipad where you’ll be able to eliminate a skull herd for extra souls. To reach the helipad, you will first need to jump onto the AC unit in the top right corner.
  8. Grab what you need from the rooftop ahead and to the right, then take the remaining path to eliminate the Doom Gigant. After he and the other underling enemies are defeated, continue following the red arrow indicator through the city.
  9. When the forcefield rise on the next rooftop, take on the two Doom Gigants one at a time in the manner as you did before. Be careful, as this wave will be equipped with the ability to jump into the air and land on you. After they are eliminated, cross the dotted boundary line to activate the cut scene.
  10. You will now be faced off against Halibel. When the cut scene ends, sprint forward and get close enough to lock onto him. You can now use your long-ranged attack to weaken him as much as possible before he can go on the offensive.
  11. When you have drained your long-range energy, move in close, before he can regain his composure, and assault Halibel with your combo that unleashes a wall of ice to pop him into the air. As soon as he crashes back to the ground, jump over Halibel’s body and perform a mid-air attack with the Square button that surrounds your downed opponent with ice for further damage.
  12. As with the other bosses in this game, switch back to a long-range assault when Halibel begins to glow. If he gets to close to you, use the mid-air attack you performed earlier to hold him off until the glow wears off.
  13. When a significant amount of Halibel’s life is drained, the clouds will darken and your opponent will take it up a notch. He will now be more evasive when it comes to your long-ranged attacks and possess a laser burst that can be jumped over, but only if you’re expecting it.
  14. Use the long-ranged strikes to do what damage you can, then get in close for follow-up melee attacks. Just as before the cut scene, Halibel will still be vulnerable to your close-combat assault methods. The difference is that his retaliation, if you don’t retreat in time, will cause significantly more damage to your health.
  15. Continue repeatedly assaulting Halibel in the aforementioned manner until he is defeated or weak enough for a Circle button finisher to complete this episode.

Episode 9

  1. During this episode you will take on the role of Soi Fon as a playable character. Familiarize yourself with his fighting maneuvers as he primarily practices hand-to-hand combat, which will require attacks that are closer in range than usual.
  2. Move forward towards the red arrow indicator as the episode begins and eliminate any enemies in your path to the far rooftop. You can now either reach the next area by taking a route that leads around the corner to the right or to the left. The path to the right is guarded by three of the larger Arrancar, while the path to the left is populated by a wave of underlings.
  3. For the sake of ease, take the path to the left and slash your way through the underlings. Continue towards the red arrow indicator to reach an open area until a forcefield rises around you. You will now be charged with defeating the Plague Flier.
  4. The area will now consist of a small grouping of underlings, four Slug Tortoises and a Plague Flier encircling the buildings. Defeating Slug Tortoises require too much effort and time so ignore them along with the underlings. While staying on the move to avoid the Tortoise’s fireballs, lock onto the Plague Flier and eliminate it through multiple long-ranged attacks,
  5. Drop the forcefield by defeating all the other Plague Fliers and continue across the dotted line boundary to teleport. When you reach the next area, dash forward towards the Menos Grande and defeat him as you did in previous levels.
  6. Continue following the red arrow indicator through the city and focus most of your assault on the next Menos Grande you encounter. Continue in this way until you come to a fork in the road, at which point another forcefield will rise around you.
  7. Ignore the Slug Tortoise and eliminate the Arrancar Duro with, what you should know by now, are the longest-ranged attacks possible. Once the forcefield is down you can cross over the dotted boundary line to activate the cut scene.
  8. You must now face off against Barragan. After the cut scene, sprint towards him and jump over or around the Arrancar Duros that appear. Once Barragan is close enough, assault him with long-range strikes while keeping a safe distance.
  9. If you get close enough, try and goad Barran into striking out so that you can dodge him. Use this opportunity to start damaging him with your varied combo maneuvers on the ground or in the air. If you linger too long though, he’ll make you pay for it.
  10. After a while, Barragan will begin to block all of your attacks and send out more Arrancar Duros to slow you down. When this happens you will see him recline into a chair that appears out of thin air. Ignore the Duros if possible and continue assaulting Barragan with long-ranged strikes until the chair disappears.
  11. Continue attacking Barragan in this manner until a cut scene activates. He will now carry an enormous axe and emit a purplish black smoke that will follow you around the level. For both of these reasons, it’s more essential now to keep a far distance and use the sprint ability to stay on the move. Ignore the Arrancars he releases as you did before.
  12. Use your long-ranged attacks to continue weakening Barragan, then land on a rooftop to draw him in to a more close-combat situation. This will also help you keep an eye on his teleporting and the other obstacles he’s thrown out at you.
  13. Use a combination of melee and projectile combos on Barragan until his health is nearly completely drained, then finish him off with a powerful strike via the Circle button to complete this episode.

Episode 10

  1. During this episode you will take on the role of Shunsui Kyoraku. You should take your time as always to familiarize yourself with the new fighting technique. Carrying two large weapons makes this character’s combo strikes slower but more damaging to opponents. In other words, make sure you hit what you’re aiming at so as not to leave yourself open to attack. Kyoraku also dispenses tornadoes as his long-ranged attack, which move and rise in a slow but wide path.
  2. Move forward and eliminate the bird enemies with your tornado strikes, then continue towards the red indicator arrow on your map. Slash through the waves of enemies in your path as you travel across the rooftops towards the construction site.
  3. Eliminate the Menos Grande at the entrance of the construction area to pass through the rest of the structure safely. You can defeat this enemy using previous methods or you can get within touching distance of him and unleash a series of tornadoes in quick succession.
  4. Continue slashing through waves of enemies as you exit the construction site, then follow the arrow onto the next rooftop. A forcefield will rise and you will be faced with defeating the Hollows in the area. Move back and forth between the rooftops to eliminate them with any combination attack.
  5. After every last enemy has been defeated, follow the red arrow indicator across the dotted boundary line to teleport to the next area. As soon as you re-appear, move forward until a forcefield rises around you.
  6. In the same way as before, ignore all other threats and focus on attacking the Fliers at all costs. To avoid dealing with the minor enemies, lock onto the Fliers as soon as possible and sprint towards them to make a fast getaway.
  7. Once the Fliers are eliminated, continue towards the red arrow and cross the dotted boundary line to activate the cut scene. You will now be charged with eliminating a boss called Stark.
  8. Lock onto Stark as soon as the level begins to keep an eye on his offensive strikes, the majority of which are long-ranged and fast moving. Keep the furthest possible distance from Stark and sprint sideways for a few seconds when he sends projectiles in your direction.
  9. When you are ready to attack, choose a moment when Stark is pre-occupied with one of his offensive strikes, then sprint towards him. Stop at a distance in which your tornado strikes will be effective and use them to knock Stark off his feet.
  10. You can now alternate between striking Stark with close-range combos and long range combos. Just make sure that he get a change to recover during the assault. Continue using this strategy to lower Stark’s health, until he begins to block your attacks. At this point, you would be smart to retreat for a short period of time.
  11. Continue attacking him until his life is nearly drained, then finish Stark off with a powerful strike via the Circle button. After a short cut scene, you will continue the battle with Stark, who will have nearly 25% of his health left.
  12. Defeat Stark using the same method as before to complete this episode.

Episode 11

  1. You will now play as Byakuya Kuchiki. Become familiar with his move set for more efficient gameplay. He only attacks with projectile bursts of magical energy, greatly increasing the striking-distance of combos performed by tapping the Square button.
  2. At the start of the episode, move forward towards the red arrow indicator and use combos to eliminate any enemies in your path. Continue in this way through the canyon until a forcefield rises around you. You will now have to eliminate the Volcan Gigants.
  3. These enemies can be eliminated by using the same method you would use against other Gigants. One difference is that after you have struck the Volcan Gigant’s backside enough times to completely drain his health, you will need to retreat before he self-destructs. This is indicated by the Gigant suddenly blinking a different color and raising his arms in the air.
  4. When the forcefield drops, continue across the dotted boundary line to teleport. Once you arrive in the next area, sprint past the minor enemies and eliminate the Volcan Gigant so that you can pass safely.
  5. Continue towards the red arrow until another forcefield rises. You will now have to defeat a varied selection of Arrancars. Once you have cleared them all out, proceed in the direction of the map indicator.
  6. Make your way past multiple skull swarms and another wave of Volgan Gigants to cross the dotted boundary and activate the cut scene. You will now have to face off against Yammy. Before the battle begins, read the instructions for Kuchiki’s combinations. This knowledge will come in handy during the boss fight.
  7. When the battle begins, lock onto Yammy’s head and begin running back and forth across the screen while firing a series of projectile strikes. When you seem him prepare to stomp the ground, stand still and time your jump to clear the incoming shockwave.
  8. Continue firing long-range strikes into Yammy’s head until he suddenly gets woozy. Sprint forward as he falls over and use the combo techniques from earlier to deal as much damage as possible. If you get too close to Yammy before dazing him, he will snatch you up and toss you against the wall, so keep a maximum distance during the first phase of the attack.
  9. Yammy will now switch to an offensive move in which he fires four large fireballs across the screen in succession. Retreat from the first fireball before switching directions to reach the area it landed. You can now wait for the remaining three fireballs to land in other spots along the screen, leaving you untouched.
  10. If you see Yammy rear his head back, move in the opposite direction of where he’s facing to avoid a laser burst. If you are anywhere near the area, you will get caught in the blast and lose a significant amount of health.
  11. While avoiding these offensive strikes, continue your assault on Yammy until he is defeated to complete this episode.

Episode 12

  1. You will now take on the role of Yoruichi Shihoin. She’s another unarmed character, so become familiar with her extremely quick close-combat strikes and combination finishers.
  2. As the episode begins, sprint forward and eliminate the waves of underling enemies in your path. Continue towards the arrow indicator in this manner by following the street ahead. The first forcefield will arise after you make your first left turn.
  3. You will now have to eliminate the Arrancar Sondeo in the area. Lock onto them one by one, then sprint in their direction to attack with a combination of long and short-ranged strikes. When they are all defeated, continue down the street in the direction of the map indicator.
  4. Proceed along the streets, eliminating underlings, skulls and Fliers as you go, until you cross the dotted line boundary and teleport. Once you arrive in the new area, sprint forward and fight your way past waves of various enemies, then cut through the parking lot on the right to reach the next street.
  5. Move down the road towards the map indicator and through numerous groupings of Arrancar and skull herds to reach the next forcefield challenge. This time, you’ll need to defeat a group of enormous Menos Grandes.
  6. This version of Menos Grande is too tall for you to reach the lock-on point by sprinting. Instead, run back and forth across the street and keep the Grande at a distance. By firing projectiles from this position you should be able to eliminate him in an efficient manner.
  7. After all the Menos Grande are eliminated, cross the dotted boundary line ahead to activate the cut scene. You will now face off against Sosuke Aizen.
  8. When the battle begins, sprint towards Sosuke and lock-on to him. Use this opportunity to pelt him with as many projectiles as you can. They won’t do much damage at first, but eventually you’ll knock him to the ground.
  9. Once Sosuke falls to the floor, move in to deal out a series of close range combo attacks. Don’t let up until he goes on the offensive or starts to glow. If either of these things should happen, retreat immediately and return to a projectile-based assault.
  10. Continue attacking Sosuke in this manner until his life is depleted to complete the episode.

Episode 13

  1. In this level you will need to eliminate a boss named Gin Ichiman. When the battle starts, sprint forward in his direction and lock on. You can now send a barrage of projectiles to damage Ichiman until he falls over.
  2. When Ichiman hits the ground, move in and strike with a variety of combinations to keep him down for as long.as possible. If he suddenly blocks your assault, retreat to a fair distance and return to a projectile-only attack mode.
  3. Continue knocking Ichiman down and assaulting him with combos to gradually decrease his life. He will lose health at a much slower rate than other bosses so be generous with powerful attacks via the Circle button to speed up the process during the battle.
  4. To lower the risk of taking on damage, fire your projectile while jumping through the air to avoid the majority of Ichiman’s offensive strikes. This is especially useful when attacking Ichiman after he has begun to glow.
  5. Repeat the aforementioned attack strategy until Ichiman is defeated to complete this episode.

Episode 14

  1. When the episode begins, sprint forward and slash through the smaller enemies ahead. Stay near the Tortoise as you fight these underlings so that you can immediately strike when he decides to rear up on two legs.
  2. Eliminate the Tortoise to pass safely, then repeat this process on the identical wave of enemies ahead. When the second Tortoise is defeated, follow the red indicator along the path until the forcefields activate.
  3. You will now be charged with eliminating the Frogbones that appear. Eliminate them one at a time or in small clusters with a consistent barrage of long-ranged combo strikes. When they have all been cleared from the area, continue towards the red map indicator to reach a wide ditch guarded by two Tortoises.
  4. Eliminate the Tortoises one at a time in the same manner as before, then continue towards the red map indicator. Cross the dotted boundary line to teleport to the next area, then sprint forward and activate another forecfield challenge.
  5. You will now have to defeat the enormous Volcan Gigant in the area. Get behind them one at a time and use a series of simple melee combos to finish them off. Make sure you retreat to a safe distance before each Gigant self-destructs.
  6. You will now have to defeat a group of Menos Grandes. Lock onto the nearest one and eliminate it with a quick flurry of long-ranged attacks. Continue in this manner until all the Menos Grandes have been cleared from the area.
  7. Once the forcefield is down, continue moving towards the red map indicator. Cross the dotted boundary line to activate a cut scene and ultimately face off against the final boss.
  8. After the cut scene, you will be charged with eliminating Sosuke Aizen. When the battle begins, sprint towards him and lock on, then unleash a flurry of long-ranged attacks to start weakening his health.
  9. Aizen’s teleportation cancels your lock on him, so make sure you re-apply it as soon as he re-appears in the area. Be prepared for him to occasionally appear right beside you so that you can immediately retreat or go into a melee combo. Otherwise, stay on the move and at a distance to evade Aizen’s projectile-based offense.
  10. Continue striking Aizen with your long-ranged attacks until he becomes distracted with firing a line of orange fireballs. If you are in no immediate danger of being struck by these fireballs, use the opportunity to sprint behind Aizen and assault him with melee combos.
  11. When Aizen has a little more than half of his health remaining, he will teleport to the ledge high above the battle zone. This elevated viewpoint will make you appear very tiny on the ground below and alter your perception of basic movements.
  12. Move the character around as soon as the view changes. Familiarize yourself with how far your character appears to be jumping and how fast he seems moving from this new perspective. Learn it fast, because Aizen will quickly begin his attack soon after teleporting to the ledge.
  13. Hold the sprint button down and move in the opposite direction of any black distortion that appears on the ground. By the time, Aizen is ready for the final strike from his ledge, there will only be one square piece of land remaining without distortion. Get to this spot as quickly as possible before the black towers rise from the ground and explode.
  14. Once you return to the normal perspective, continue your assault as you were before. The only difference being that if you stand still for too long, Aizen will create one of those exploding black towers around you and crush a decent amount of health from you.
  15. As Aizen reaches the 25% mark on his health bar, his close-range attacks will become even more devastating. Stick to hurling projectiles as you sprint around the area, thus maintaining your safety.
  16. Should you find your life dangerously depleted, execute the long-range attacks while jumping in the air to avoid Aizen’s ground offense. After a while you should be able to locate a health power-up along the edge of the area.
  17. When Aizen is nearly depleted of health, his attacks will continue to increase in magnitude. Stay evasive by consistently sprinting and wait until Aizen becomes distracted. Now, move in close so that he’s right in front of you and only a few feet away.. You can now effectively execute a powerful strike via the Circle button.
  18. Continue using long-range attacks and the occasional well-timed power strike until Aizen is defeated to complete this episode and the overall story mode.
