I. Achievement Overview
-------------------
Batman Arkham City has 50 achievements worth 1000 points. There are
currently 3 downloadable content packs. The Catwoman pack that comes
with the game brand new. There are also Robin and Nightwing packs
to get for more achievements.
There is only 1 missable achievement and that is the Catch achievement. It
can be obtained near the beginning of the game though so no big deal.
No difficulty based achievements but you do need to complete the game on
at least Normal to unlock New Game Plus mode which is considered harder
than Hard.
II. The Achievements
--------------------
A. I'm Batman
- Become the Bat. 10G
- You will obtain this near the start of the game.
You will get this as soon as you suit up as batman.
B. Acid Bath
- Save the damsel, but is she in distress? 10G
- Story Related *Spoiler below*
You get this for saving Catwoman the first time from Two-Face.
C. Savior
- Save the medical volunteers 10G
- After you save Catwoman and go outside. You will be alerted to
some people being attacked. Take out the thugs and save the
volunteers.

D. Chimney Sweep
- There is only one way in 10G
- You must make your way to the Steel Mill. Make your way to the
top chimney and you will see a cutscene. Now make your way
through the furnace.
E. One Armed Bandit
- Hammer the point home 10G
- This is the first boss of the game. He moves slow, so move
around taking out the bandits around him first. Then just
keep attacking him while avoiding his hammer.
F. Communication Breakdown
- Clear the airwaves 10G
- This is story related. You must destroy all 3 of the Penguin's Jammers.
They are all near the museum. You communicator is send you to them.
G. Gladiator
- Last man standing 10G
- While chasing down Penguin into Freeze's Lair. You will be thrown into
an all out brawl. Take out all the enemies and the huge guy as well to
get this. To take out the big Titan style monster, you must do a triple
stun cape on him, then attack.
H. Wrecking Ball
- Stop the unstoppable 25G
- You will get this right before finishing off Solomon Grundy. To defeat him,
you must use your plastic explosive to blow up the electric floor panels.
This will knock him down temporarily, then attack him.
I. Lost And Found
- Uncover the secret of Arkham City 10G
- You will get this when you first get into the Restricted section.

J. Sand Storm
- We are legion 25G
- You get this for defeating the first boss in the Restricted Section.
K. Hide And Seek
- A deadly game of hide and seek 25G
- You get this after you defeat Mr. Freeze.
L. Ghost Train
- Fight for survival 25G
- You will get this once you beat Joker and his group of thugs.
M. Freefall
- Don't look down 25G
- You get this for completing the Restricted Section.
N. Exit Stage Right
- All the world is a stage 50G
- You get this after completing the final boss of the game.
O. Forensic Expert
- Collect enough evidence to locate the gun for hire 10G
- This is a sidequest with random pop ups on the map. You
will hear a gun shot and have to check out the reason.
You will get this once you have analyzed all the clues.

P. Contract Terminated
- Stop the contract operative 25G
- You will get this for stopping the mysterious sniper.
Q. Serial Killer
- Track down the serial killer 25G
- While exploring Arkham City, you will come across a
random dead body with his face removed. You will be
prompted to scan the area to find clues to what happened.
You must find the other dead bodies on your own and scan
them. They will lead you to a house where you will find
the killer.
R. Mystery Stalker
- Reveal the mystery watcher 15G
- You will come across a myserious guy hanging around in
different locations on the map. You must find him and talk
to him each time. You also must do the Catch! achievement
with this mysterious guy.
S. Distress Flare
- Answer the call for help 5G
- You will be prompted for this sidequest as soon as you save
the hostages in the church. Go to the toy factory and talk to
Bane.

T. Broken Toys
- Destroy it all 25G
- You get this for finishing up the Bane sidequest. You must
hunt down 6 tanks of Titan. They will show up on the map after
the first time you talk to Bane about them.
U. Ring Ring
- Answer a ringing phone 5G
- You will randomly encounter ringing phones while exploring
Arkham City. You get this for just answering one.
V. Dial Z For Murder
- Stop the phone booth killer 25G
- You will get this once you complete the Ring Ring calls. You will
have to trace the calls by following the circle on the map screen to
trace the calls. Once you have done this a few times, you will find
where the calls are coming from. Enter the building and capture the
Killer.
W. Stop the Clock
- Time is running out 15G
- After leaving the Restricted Section. You will be contacted by
Alfred about a cure. Go to it and you will be drugged and
attacked by the Mad Hatter. You must escape his crazy world
to get this.
X. Bargaining Chip - Reunite the separated couple 15G - You get this after helping Mr. Freeze recover his wife Nora.

Y. AR Knight - Complete all augmented reality training exercises 25G - They require gliding and divebombing through green circles. Here is a video from FliptriqTV of them.
Z. Fully Loaded
- Collect all of Batman's gadgets and upgrades 10G
- You get a few through story mode progression but some you
must level up to unlock. You will be prompted everytime
you level up. Just continue unlocking them until you have
them all. You must complete the whole story up to the
end to get his last gadget. If you do not get the achievement.
Complete all the side quests.
AA. Aggravated Assault
- Stop all assaults in Arkham City 10G
- You will randomly see flashing circles on the map. These are
someone being randomly attacked. All you have to do is swoop
in and save the day by knocking out the attacker.
AB. IQ Test
- Solve the first riddle 10G
- After you save the first set of hostages while looking for the
Joker sniper. Come back to the building after it has been blown
up and you will encounter The Riddler. He will tell you to start
solving riddles. The first one is in the main hallway where the
Riddler's projection screen was on the left. Hold the Left Bumper
to scan the guy on the medical bed.
AC. Conundrum
- Rescue the first hostage from Riddler 20G
- 0 Riddler Trophies Needed.
You will start this in the Courthouse right after doing the above
achievement. You will get the location of the first hostage by saving
the policeman in the courthouse. For the first hostage, you must hit the
question marks on the walls to activate the floor. Then follow the floor
around and glide over to the hostage to free him.

AD. Mastermind - Rescue the second hostage from Riddler. 20G - 80 Riddler Trophies Needed. After you have solved a few more riddles, you can start hostage two. For this one, you will be playing a switch around. Use your detective mode to locate the hostage. AE. Puzzler - Rescue the third hostage from Riddler 30G - 160 Riddler Trophies Needed. For this hostage, you will have to use a few of your gadgets to get through the level.
AF. Intellectual - Rescue the fourth hostage from Riddler 30G - 240 Riddler Trophies Needed.
AG. Brainteaser - Rescue the fifth hostage from Riddler 40G - 320 Riddler Trophies Needed. AH. Genius - Rescue all the hostages from Riddler 50G - 400 Riddler Trophies Needed.

AI. Bronze Revenge - Obtain 24 medals on the original Arkham City ranked maps (as Batman) 10G - AJ. Silver Revenge - Obtain 48 medals on the original Arkham City ranked maps (as Batman) 20G - AK. Gold Revenge - Obtain all 72 medals on the original Arkham City ranked maps (as Batman) 40G - AL. Campaign Bronze - Obtain 24 medals on the original Arkham City ranked maps (as Batman) 10G - AM. Campaign Silver - Obtain 72 medals on the original Arkham City campaigns (as Batman) 20G - AN. Campaign Gold - Obtain all 108 medals on the original Arkham City campaigns (as Batman) 40G - AO. Flawless Freeflow Fighter 2.0 - Complete one combat challenge without taking damage (any character) 5G - You must complete all 4 rounds without taking a single bit of damage.
AP. Twice Nightly
- Complete New Game Plus 75G
- You unlock New Game Plus by completing the Story Mode on Normal or Hard.
You start a new game with all your gadgets and upgrades but the enemies
are a bit harder. You no longer get the blue sparks above their heads for
counters.

AQ. Gotham Base Jumper
- Jump off the tallest building in Arkham City and glide for 1 minute without
touching the ground 5G
- The tallest building is in the Restricted Section and you will not be able
to do this until near the end of the game.
AR. Pay Your Respects
- A moment of remembrance 5G
- Look at your map. Look at the alley right above the R in Restricted Area.
Go here and you will be prompted to pay respect a sad time in Batman's life.
AS. Story Teller
- Have 12 murderous dates with Calendar Man 10G
- The Calender Man is in the basement of the building where you first face
Two-Face. The Courthouse. You must talk to him on all the major holidays.
For 2011 - these are the following dates.
Jan 1st, Feb 14th, Mar 17th, Apr 1st, May 8th, June 19th, July 4th,
August 16th, Sep 5th, Oct 31st, Nov 24th and Dec 25th.
The Holidays are
New Years Day, Valentines Day, St. Patrick’s Day, April Fools Day,
Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, (American) Independence Day,
Feast Day of St. Roch, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day
You can also go offline and change the date on your Xbox and get this.
AT. Catch
- Find someone to play remote Batarang catch with 5G
- You must do this with the Mysterious Stranger. This achievement is
missable.
AU. 50x Combo
- Complete a combo of 50 moves (any play mode, any character) 5G
- You can do this with either Batman or Catwoman. It is way easier to
do once you have leveled up and unlocked some of the combo upgrades.
Freeflow Focus helps a lot.

- Perform a perfect combo including all of Batman's combat moves
(any play mode) 5G
- You must do all of Batman's moves in one combo.

- You must complete all Main and Side Missions in both Normal Story and the
New Game Plus Story. Collect all riddles - these are shared between normal
and new game plus. You must also get 3 medals on all Challenges.

AY. Sphinx' Riddle
- Complete all 40 of the Catwoman Riddler grid items 10G
- Most of these are fairly simple to get. Most you will have to do is
climb across ceilings.
AZ. Arkham City Sirens
- Drop in on an old friend 25G
- You will get this in the second chapter of Catwoman's story. You get it for
visiting Poison Ivy.
BA. Pick Pocket
- Steal the score of a lifetime 25G
- You will get this during the 3rd chapter of Catwoman's story. Once you break
into Strange's vault.
BB. Family Jewels
- Retrieve your stolen goods 40G
- After you complete the 4th episode of Catwoman's story. You can go into
theif mode and see certain enemies that are carrying your jewels. Simply
take them out to collect them.
BC. Feline Revenge
- Obtain all 72 medals on the original Arkham City ranked maps (as Catwoman) 25G
