Gameplay
Calculords is a card collection battle game where in players are able to deploy different types of cards in the goal to fully deplete the enemy’s health. In order to do this, the player’s cards must be able to reach the other side of one of the three rows of the screen and attack the enemy directly. Units will be placed at each end of the row where in they would meet and attack or push each other back.

In order to deploy cards, players must work with numbers which are randomly generated on the screen. Numbers can be combined in any which way using operators such as adding, subtracting, and multiplying, and by coming up with the figure that corresponds to their units’ costs will they be able to deploy the said units.

Leveling Up
By playing matches, players will get to earn experience points. XP is earned depending on the player’s performance. Once enough has been earned, players will get to level up. Leveling up has a lot of advantages as it can provide you with benefits such as increased health, or even more choices in the cards and numbers to choose from each time it becomes your turn in a match. Thus, levelling up will allow you to face tougher opponents as you’ll have a lot more to work with both offensively and defensively.

Card Stats
Most cards have two distinct attributes, namely HP and AP. AP signifies attack points, and this pertains to the amount of damage that will be inflicted on enemies should your card attack. HP, on the other hand, means Health or Hit Points, and this signifies how much damage you can resist before dying. Both offensive and push cards have these attributes, and knowing how to use and deploy your cards given their statistics is a must. The left number on the card indicates AP while the right side indicates HP.

Skills
Different cards may also have different abilities that may affect just themselves or ally and enemy cards, too. These can include being able to resist damage, being able to move across rows faster, or being able to create copies of themselves. Also, take note that some cards have more than one ability and may sometimes only be triggered once specific criteria have been met. Being able to know how each card’s skills work and being able to use them to your advantage is as easily important as having cards with high stats/

Offensive Cards
There are many different cards available within Calculords, and all of these can be added to your deck. The first kinds are called offensive cards, and as the name implies, these types of cards are mainly used to damage other cards as well as the player. Offensive cards typically have high AP with low HP, although some have skills that allow them to resist damage. Offensive cards can be differentiated with other cards as their borders are colored red.

Push Cards
Push cards, on the other hand, are colored green. In contrast to offensive cards, push cards have usually high HP with low AP, if any at all. They, however, have the unique ability to push enemies back should they meet in a row. Push cards typically should have offensive cards backing them up, as they are the best lines of defense for rows where in enemies are fast approaching your end of the row.

Tactic Cards
Tactic cards are special types of cards that will provide you with instant benefits either offensively or defensively. Effects of tactic cards include increased resistance to damage or additional AP, instant damage to enemies of a particular type, and many more. As compared to Offensive or Defensive cards that remain on the rows until defeated, Tactic cards will not occupy space in the board and will be discarded immediately after use.

It is recommended also that players only use Tactic cards once all other cards have been placed as the beneficial effects that they may provide would not be given to cards that are eligible for the boost but were not present when the Tactic card was activated.

Tactic cards, like all other cards, can be won through matches or purchased in packs using real life money. Players can also rearrange and sort up to three decks which they can choose from during battles. Only thirty cards can be brought into play at a time.

Calculord Bonus
Being able to use up all of the numbers provided to you each turn will be very advantageous, as this will allow you to get a new set of numbers which would in turn allow you to summon more units. This is the Calculord Bonus, and you can do this once every turn. With that, make sure that you try and use up all numbers as much as possible, and to think first on how you can manipulate the numbers into getting the figures that you want.

Levels
Calculords plays out across several levels, and players will have to face enemies multiple times so that they would level up and advance. This is because stages will only open up once players have reached a certain level. This model is also good as it will allow you to get stronger cards with each match, as well as gain better experience for your next battles.

Tips and Tricks
When it comes to using up numbers, take your time in creating formulas. Some of the best strategies are combining the results of two operations together so that you will get the output that you want and subtracting one number with another so that they would get cancelled out. This will ensure that your chances of getting Calculord bonuses would be higher, allowing you to deploy more units in a single turn. Take note also that you can clear any computations that you have done prior to deploying a unit, and that you can edit the numbers that would appear during your turn, although the order that they would appear in will be completely random.

Also, deployment of forces is also very necessary. Always remember that your or your enemies will only be the ones attacking during your respective turns, and that they will only attack the unit directly in front of them only when they meet in the middle of the row. This will allow you to strategize such that you can have a unit with high HP in front of your forces, while lower health units are at the back, safe from attack at least until your first unit falls.

It is also not important to have units covering all rows. Place fast units with a high HP offensive or push card in front so that you can “snowball” your way through a lightly defended row. Of course, you must also defend a row against enemies by putting push more push units. Plan your moves ahead such that you would be able to reach their end first and attack, as they would pose no real danger unless they dispatch of all your units and reach the end of the row. Simply make sure that you reach their end first and you can dispatch of them easily.

Keep your eye always on how they deploy units and act accordingly. Sometimes it’s not the power of the units themselves that matter but the way that you use them.
