Gameplay
Frontline Commando 2 is a strategic third person shooting game where in players can build up their weaponry and squad mates in order to take different missions that mostly involve killing all enemies that will be attacking you. Gameplay involves shooting at enemies and ducking for cover when reloading and being shot at. Players may also move around different locations should their cover be compromised or if grenades or rockets are incoming, and they may also order squad mates in order to provide them with limited support.

Currency
Cash and gold are the two main currencies within Frontline Commando 2. Cash is used to purchase and upgrade weapons as well as to train squad mates, and this can be earned by completing missions and battling in PvP. On the other hand, premium weapons, supplies, and energy may be purchased using gold, which is acquired sparingly during campaigns and whenever players level up. Some weapons may also be purchased using gold, and this has the added advantage of being more upgradeable even when the same item was purchased using cash. Gold may also be purchased using real money.

Leveling Up
By going into battle, players will earn experience points that will allow them to level up. Leveling up will increase your overall HP as well as earn you gold in the process. This is the best way for you to be able to earn free premium currency, as well as a great way to be able to withstand more damage especially from latter campaigns with more powerful enemies and better players online.

Weapons
Players can purchase different weapons which range from assault, machine guns, and sniper rifles. Some weapons also have a scope where in players can zoom in on enemies for greater accuracy. Weapons also differ when it comes to attributes like fire rate, ammo capacity, and reload time, although these stats can be upgraded using currency earned. Players can switch between these weapons during battle, and players must note two things that are very important. One is that players have the option to manually reload weapons so that they can spend time hiding reloading their ammo. Another thing is that the reload counter resets whenever players move to different locations while reloading.

Squad Mates
Squad mates are additional members that you can bring with you during battles. A limited number of squad mates can be brought in at once, so make sure that you equip the right ones for the situation. Aside from being able to draw gunfire and deal out some damage of their own, squad mates also have access to special abilities such as using grenades or refilling your health. These, however, will require the use of supplies which are either awarded to you during missions or bought using premium currency. Using your squad mates’ abilities will also have a certain cooldown period before you can use them again.

Squad mates are typically acquired as rewards, and they can also be trained in order to increase their health, damage, and other stats. It is very much recommended to help your squad mates during the battle as even though they will return to your team if killed, losing them in a fight will no longer provide you with the benefit of having someone as a decoy, as well as access to the abilities that they will be able to provide.

Game Modes
Frontline Commando 2 has two game modes, namely Campaign and PvP. Campaign is the game’s single player mode that follows a certain plot and storyline. Players can play stages previously completed, but succeeding levels will only open up once the current one has already been one. There are also boss stages as well as elite levels that are harder but will be able to provide more rewards.

Players can also try and complete achievements within the stage, which are in the form of skulls. There are three skulls within the stage, and each has its corresponding reward such as cash, gold, supplies, or even a new squad mate. While players can still continue to earn cash and experience while replaying stages, skulls can only be claimed once.

The other mode is PvP, where in players will be able to challenge other squads controlled by players online. Matchmaking is random, although players can also take revenge on players that have attacked them. Winning matches will allow you to rank within the global leaderboard, and rewards such as boosts that would be active for a limited time will also be provided. This will provide you with an edge as you get into more fights. Of course, cash and experience would also be earned.

PvP mode will require energy, which is a resource that regenerates automatically over time. Players are provided with a maximum of three energy, but players can actually spend premium currency in order to refill this quickly and to engage in more battles should they want to do so.
