Fallout 4: Outside the Wire walkthrough

This mission is tied to The Molecular Level main quest. If you happened to have completed that mission with the help of a faction, you might recall that the faction scientist asked you to slip a holotape into a terminal within the Institution.  This quest is the Brotherhood of Steel's version of that favor.

Even if you already accomplished a similar assignment for another faction — as we did with The Minutemen — you can still finish this quest with the Brotherhood. You just need to retrieve the holotape from Sturges.

You don't need to revisit the Institution if you've already performed the data extraction for another faction. Just hand the holotape over to Proctor Ingram.
