General Tips
- This is the official guide for Cadenza: The Kiss Of Death.
- This guide will not mention each time you have to zoom into a location; the screenshots will show each zoom scene.
- Hidden-object puzzles are referred to as HOPs. This guide will not show HOP solutions. It will identify the location of the HOP and the inventory item acquired.
- This guide will show solutions for non-random puzzles. Please read the in-game instructions for each puzzle.
Chapter 1: The Wedding Site
- Select (A).
- Take the CANE (B).
- Use the CANE (C).
- Take the LOVE LETTER (D).
- Open the LOVE LETTER to find the WREATH KEY (inventory).
- Press 1-3.
- Open the letter; take the MUSIC KEY (E).
- Move the candlestick, open the letter, and take the FLAME KEY (F).
- Use the FLAME KEY (G), WREATH KEY (H), and MUSIC KEY (I).
- Open the box; take the ring (J).
- Open the window (K).
- Select and talk to Anthony (L).
- Pull the vines 3x (N).
- Pull the curtain; walk left (O).
- Take the paper (P).
- Move the ashtray; take the 1st BIRD ORNAMENT (Q).
- Open the coat; take the CIGARETTE CASE and the 2nd BIRD ORNAMENT (R).
- Open the CIGARETTE CASE; take the METAL NOTE (inventory).
- Place the 2 BIRD ORNAMENTS; touch each bird and open the cabinet (S).
- Play the HOP; earn the LETTER OPENER (T).
- Use the LETTER OPENER, remove the lid, and take the FLOWER ARRANGEMENT (U).
- Look at the photo in the FLOWER ARRANGEMENT (inventory).
- Walk down.
- Place the FLOWER ARRANGEMENT (A).
- Solution (B).
- Talk to Anthony; take the CAR KEYS (C).
- Walk right.
- Open the door (D).
- Use the CAR KEYS 3x (E).
- Exit the car.
- Look at the man (F).
- Move the hat (H).
- Touch the man 2x (I).
- Select the hands 3x (J).
- Go to the Wedding Reception Tent.
- Select the phone; talk to the police (K).
- Select Margaret (L).
- Select the clipboard (N).
- Select the pen (O).
- Select the inkpad (P).
- Press 1-5.
- Take the IDENTIFICATION PAPERS (Q).
- Give the IDENTIFICATION PAPERS to Detective Swanson (R).
- Select the clipboard (S).
- Select the pairs (color-coded).
- Select 1-8.
- Arrange as shown (T).
- Open and enter the car; exit to the left after the cut-scene.
Chapter 2: The Jazz Pepper Club
- Read the poster (A).
- Open the door and go forward (B).
- Talk to the woman (C).
- Walk down and right.
- Press the 2 buttons; open the flap (D).
- Take the MAGNET; move the papers and take the DUCT TAPE (E).
- Move the sign; take the POWDERED CHILI PEPPER (F).
- Select the van (G).
- Place the METAL NOTE; arrange the notes (H).
- Open the doors; play the HOP (I).
- Press the 2 wings; open the glove box (J).
- Take the TOOLBOX (K).
- Open the TOOLBOX; take the SCREWDRIVER (inventory).
- Return to the Jazz Pepper Club.
- Talk to the Bouncer (L).
- Open the door and walk forward (M).
- Press the button, use the SCREWDRIVER, and open the cover (N).
- Use the DUCT TAPE, close the cover, and push the button (O).
- Remove the 3 boards, open the 3 boxes, and take the JUKEBOX TOKEN (P).
- Read the note (Q).
- Walk down.
- Talk to the Janitor (R).
- Select the jukebox (S).
- Select the plug; use the JUKEBOX TOKEN (T).
- Press 1-3.
- Take the DRINK COUPONS (U).
- Select the Bartender (V).
- Use the DRINK COUPONS (A).
- Select any liquor (B).
- Take the DRINK (C).
- Give the DRINK to the Janitor (D).
- Try to take the keys (E).
- Return to the Bartender; use the DRINK COUPONS to take another DRINK.
- Combine the DRINK and POWDERED CHILI PEPPER to make the SPICED DRINK (inventory).
- Give the SPICED DRINK (F).
- Take the VIP DOOR KEY (G).
- Walk forward.
- Use the VIP DOOR KEY; turn the key (H).
- Open the door; walk forward (I).
- Select the door (J).
- Select 1-3.
- Use the POWDERED CHILI PEPPER (K).
- Walk down; go left (L).
- Go right.
- After the cut-scene, go forward, and left.
- Open the curtains.
- Slap Anthony (M).
- Walk down 2x.
- Enter the van.
- Remove the lid (N).
- Break the wires; connect the red and green wires (O).
Chapter 3: The House
- Move the flowerpots; take the ROPE (A).
- Combine the ROPE and MAGNET to make the MAGNET ON A ROPE (inventory).
- Open the door; use the MAGNET ON A ROPE to take the PIPE WRENCH (B).
- Use the PIPE WRENCH (C).
- Play the HOP; earn the GOLF CLUB (D).
- Use the GOLF CLUB (E).
- Open the door and go forward.
- Open the curtains (F).
- Take the NOTE PENDANT (G).
- Move the scene and select Anthony (H).
- Place the NOTE PENDANT (I).
- Arrange the notes (J).
- Take the CAMERA and SCISSORS (K).
- Use the SCISSORS (L).
- Press the panels (white).
- Move the items; take the LOCKPICK KIT (M).
- Open the LOCKPICK KIT; take the LOCKPICK (inventory).
- Use the LOCKPICK; move the top piece until the lower piece is moving (N).
- Select the lower piece (O).
- Repeat the process 2 more times (1-2).
- You earn the AWL.
- Look at and shake Anthony (P).
- Walk down.
- Select the phone (Q).
- Walk forward.
- Touch Anthony 2x (R).
- Select the hands 2x (S).
- Talk to the Doctor (T).
- Take the BAND PHOTO (U).
- Enter the ambulance (V).
Chapter 4: The Hospital
- Walk forward.
- Talk to the Doctor.
- Walk forward and left.
- Talk to Margaret and take the PUNCH CARD CODE (A).
- Take the 1/2 PADLOCK KEY (B).
- Pan left; take the 2/2 PADLOCK KEY (C).
- Place the 2 PADLOCK KEYS and take the SURGICAL TRAY (D).
- Open the door, move the items, and take the MICROSCOPE SLIDES (E).
- Walk down 2x.
- Press the button; take the PUNCH CARD (F).
- Combine the PUNCH CARD, PUNCH CARD CODE, and AWL (inventory).
- Use the awl; punch the holes to make the PUNCH CARD (G).
- Press set (@).
- Use the PUNCH CARD; read the admission book (H).
- Select Anthony’s name (I).
- Read the 2 charts (J).
- Walk left and forward.
- Move to the rooms while the staff (red) is facing away (1-5).
- Get to room 24 (K).
- Select the curtain (L).
- Go forward.
- Look at Anthony 2x (M).
- Take the ALCOHOL (N).
- Take the SQUARE ORNAMENT from the ALCOHOL(inventory).
- Take the FIRST AID KIT (O).
- Combine the FIRST AID KIT and SQUARE ORNAMENT (inventory).
- Solution (P).
- Open the case, open the cover, and select the bandage (Q).
- Use the scissors and take the GAUZE (R).
- Use the GAUZE to take the CLOTH WITH RESIDUE (S).
- Walk down and forward.
- After the cut-scene, walk left.
- Talk to Margaret (A).
- Remove the sheet (B).
- Use the BAND PHOTO (C).
- Turn his head and move the sheet again (D).
- Select the hand; take the DEAD MAN MARK (E).
- Select the microscope; place the SURGICAL TRAY, MICROSCOPE SLIDES, ALCOHOL, DEAD MAN MARK, and CLOTH WITH RESIDUE (F).
- Use G-H, I-J, K-J-L; repeat with the second sample.
- Select the microscope again.
- Select (M); then select a microbe (N).
- Select (O); then find the matching microbe (P).
- Find 3 pairs; take the COLLECTED SAMPLES (Q).
- Give the COLLECTED SAMPLES (R).
- Select the book (S).
- Play the HOP; earn the TWILIGHT KISS (T).
- Drag the map down; select Chinese Qtr (U).
Chapter 5: The Chinese Quarter
- Walk forward 2x. After the cut-scene, walk down.
- Open the cabinet; take the MATCHBOOK (A).
- Walk forward.
- Play the HOP; earn the FIREWORKS (B).
- Use the FIREWORKS and MATCHBOOK (C).
- Walk forward; open the door and enter the Herb Shop.
- Talk to Herbalist (D).
- Walk down 2x.
- Talk to the Vendor; take the light plans (E).
- Solution (F).
- Shake the Vendor’s hand (G).
- Take the DRAGON COIN (H).
- Walk forward 2x.
- Give the DRAGON COIN; talk to the Herbalist (I).
- Give the TWILIGHT KISS to the Herbalist.
- Walk left (J).
- Take the list (K).
- Note the 4 symbols (L).
- Press the 4 symbols (M).
- Take the LION FIGURINE (N).
- Walk down.
- Place the LION FIGURINE; play the HOP to earn the TEAPOT WITH CATALYST (O).
- Read the legend; take the PINE NEEDLE POWDER (P).
- Look at both jars, move the leaves, and take the 5 WOLFBERRIES (Q).
- Take the VEGETABLES (R).
- Walk left.
- Place the VEGETABLES (S).
- Select the lock 2x (T).
- Open the cabinet, select the 3 jars; take the PALMAROSA OIL JAR and EMPTY VIAL (U).
- Select (V).
- Place the PINE NEEDLE POWDER, 5 WOLFBERRIES, PALMAROSA OIL JAR, and the TEAPOT WITH CATALYST; use the EMPTY VIAL to take the ANTIDOTE (W).
- Use the MAP to travel to Hospital Admissions (X).
- Walk left.
- Select (A).
- Select (B).
- Use the ANTIDOTE (C).
- Move the curtain; take the UNKNOWN PLANT (D).
- Go to the Mortuary.
- Give the UNKNOWN PLANT (E).
- Walk down.
Chapter 6: Bonnette
- Exit the car.
- Talk to the Woman (A).
- Take the FISHING KNIFE and open the curtain (B).
- Select pairs (color-coded).
- Open the door; take the HARD HAT (C).
- Walk forward.
- Take the PUSH BROOM (D).
- Pan right.
- Open the glass; take the 1/4 LEAF PART (E).
- Take the CROWBAR and FISHING BOX (F).
- Walk down.
- Use the CROWBAR and take the MAP (G).
- Open the satchel; take the photo, 2/4 LEAF PART, COIN, and PADLOCK KEY (H).
- Walk forward.
- Use the COIN (I).
- Select 1-5.
- Take the LEAF (J).
- Move left and forward.
- Use the PADLOCK KEY; remove the chain and open the gate (K).
- Walk forward.
- Select the footprint; select the tombstone (L).
- Use the PUSH BROOM; move the flower and push the button (M).
- Take the 3/4 LEAF PART and STRANGE INSTRUCTIONS (N).
- Place the STRANGE INSTRUCTIONS (O).
- Take the HEX KEY.
- Walk down and left.
- Talk to the man (P).
- Take the EMPTY FUEL CANISTER (Q); touch the net (R).
- Place S-T, U-T; take the POLE HOOK.
- Use the POLE HOOK to take the NET WITH CATCH (R).
- Place the NET WITH CATCH; use the FISHING KNIFE (A).
- Play the HOP; earn the HOSE (B).
- Take the GARDENING SHEARS (C).
- Use the HEX KEY; remove the cover (D).
- Replace the HOSE; take the 4/4 LEAF PART and MAINTENANCE NOTES (E).
- Combine the LEAF and 4 LEAF PARTS to make the LEAF KEY (inventory).
- Combine the FISHING BOX and LEAF KEY. Configure the leaf key to match the indentation on the fishing box; take the FISHING HOOK (inventory).
- Walk down and right.
- Place the MAINTENANCE NOTES (G).
- Solution (H).
- Use the EMPTY FUEL CANISTER; take the FULL FUEL CANISTER (I).
- Go left and forward.
- Place the FISHING HOOK; lower it 2x, and open the window (J).
- Use the HARD HAT to play the HOP; earn the SHIP WHEEL MEDALLION (K).
- Walk down and left.
- Place the SHIP WHEEL MEDALLION, open the box, and take the SPARK PLUG (L).
- Replace the SPARK PLUG (M).
- Use the FULL FUEL CANISTER (N); push the button 3x (O).
- Go forward.
- Touch the lever (P); use the GARDENING SHEARS (Q).
- Select the 4 bricks (green).
- Take the LEVER.
- Use the GARDENING SHEARS; place and pull the LEVER (R).
- Go forward (S).
- Open the bag; take the NAIL CLIPPER (A).
- Move the plant; open the box, and look inside (B).
- Set the panels (1-3).
- Use the NAIL CLIPPER (C).
- Walk down.
- Play the HOP (D).
- Go forward.
- Select the 4 photos and note (E).
- Press (F).
- Select (G).
- Restore the pictures (1-2).
- Select (H).
- Talk to Detective Swanson (I).
Chapter 7: The Police Station
- Talk to Detective Swanson (A).
- Touch the bars (B).
- Talk to the Officer Rosewood; take the WIRE (C).
- Bend the WIRE to make the WIRE HOOK (inventory).
- Open the bars (D).
- Use the WIRE HOOK; take the METAL CART KEY (E).
- Use the METAL CART KEY; select the key (F).
- Open the cart doors.
- Select pairs (color-coded).
- Combine the base and handle to make the HATCH HANDLE (green).
- Move items; take the POCKET KNIFE (G).
- Place the HATCH HANDLE and open the door; pull the switch (H).
- Walk forward.
- Take the FRAMED PLAQUE (I).
- Combine the FRAMED PLAQUE and POCKET KNIFE to find the SMALL GUN (inventory).
- Place the SMALL GUN (J).
- Hit the 4 green targets as they appear; open the door (K).
- Take the SCOPE (L).
- Remove the MAGNIFYING GLASS from the SCOPE (inventory).
- Use the MAGNIFYING GLASS; drag the picture and select Detective Swanson (M).
- Select the hat; use the POCKET KNIFE and take the OFFICE KEY (N).
- Use the OFFICE KEY (O).
- Walk forward.
- Take the LADY JUSTICE STATUE (P).
- Take the SMALL SCALES from the LADY JUSTICE STATUE (inventory).
- Walk down.
- Place the SMALL SCALES; take the FLASHLIGHT (Q).
- Walk forward.
- Use the FLASHLIGHT on the scene.
- Push the button (A).
- Play the HOP; earn the BADGE BOX (B).
- Open the BADGE BOX; take the BADGE PIN (inventory).
- Use the BADGE PIN on 2 zippers and take the blank paper; open another zipper and take the DETECTIVE’S NOTES (C).
- Select (D).
- Place the DETECTIVE’S NOTES (E).
- Select the sets of buttons (1-3).
- Open the drawer; take the RECORDER and papers (F).
- Select Officer Rosewood (G).
- Select the recorder (H).
- Select the bust (I), and then Officer Rosewood.
- Take the HANDCUFFS (J).
- Use the HANDCUFFS (K).
- Take the note (L).
- Select and write the note (M).
- Open the recorder; select the tape (N).
- Walk forward.
Chapter 8: the Hotel Lafayette
- Try to enter the hotel; walk forward after the woman enters.
- Talk to the Bellhop (A).
- Press 1-5 (this sequence is random); take the PRECISION TOOL (B).
- Take the SCALPEL (C).
- Walk forward, right, peek at the goon, and then walk back down.
- Move the items; take the AXE HEAD (D).
- Move the glasses; take the PLATTER (E).
- Open the drawer, move the items, and take the ELECTRIC BOLT (F).
- Move the barrier and enter the Hotel Room (G).
- Remove the 3 sheets; take the AXE HANDLE (H).
- Combine the AXE HANDLE and AXE HEAD to make the AXE (inventory).
- Use the AXE (I).
- Play the HOP to earn the SCREWDRIVER (J).
- Walk down.
- Use the SCREWDRIVER 4x; take the PLANK (K).
- Take the PENTAGONAL ORNAMENT and read the note (L).
- Enter the Hotel Room and go out the window.
- Place the PLANK; go forward (M).
- Remove the painting (O).
- Place the ELECTRIC BOLT; open the door (P).
- Remove the 3 fuses (Q).
- Select the receiver, press the button, and talk to reception (R).
- Go to the Hotel Lobby.
- Place the PENTAGONAL ORNAMENT; open the door and take the MAINTENANCE KEY (S).
- Walk forward.
- Use the MAINTENANCE KEY, select 4D, open the door, and go forward (T).
- Select the uniform (U), select the cap (V) and apron (W); select the uniform.
- Exit Maintenance and walk down 2x.
- Use the PRECISION TOOL (B).
- Play the HOP; earn the BLACK WIDOW’S PURSE (C).
- Open the BLACK WIDOW’S PURSE; take the LIPSTICK and FIVE DOLLARS (inventory).
- Place FIVE DOLLARS, select the double cheese chili dog; take the DOUBLE-CHEESE CHILI DOG (D).
- Combine the PLATTER, DOUBLE-CHEESE CHILI DOG, LIPSTICK, and SCALPEL to make the POISONED HOTDOG (inventory).
- Return to the Second Floor.
- Talk to the Bouncer; give him the POISONED HOTDOG (E).
- Open the door; enter the Penthouse (F).
- Take the 1/4 GOLDEN RING (G).
- Open the box; take the 2/4 GOLDEN RING (H).
- Take the 3/4 GOLDEN RING (I).
- Open the glass; take the STRONG SPIRIT (J).
- Remove the stopper from the STRONG SPIRIT to find the 4/4 GOLDEN RING (inventory).
- Place and turn the 4 GOLDEN RINGS; open the case (K).
- Play the HOP (L).
- Open the diary (M).
- Restore the 2 pictures (1-2).
- Talk to Duke.
- Once you are behind the column, go right.
- Select (A-B-C).
- Look at Duke.
- Select (D-E-F).
- Go left.
- Select (G).
- Select (H-I-J).
- Look down; take the champagne (K).
- Aim and fire (L).
- Use the LIPSTICK (M).
- Take the TWILIGHT’S KISS (N).
