Important Unlocks:
This mission is about beating up some barbarians. A cut scene will play that shows the ruler of the land, Emmeryn, walking through town. after a bunch of talking and cut scenes you will be able to move on.
You will also be able to talk to the different people in your squad. This is an important part of character progression and developing relationships. As you develop relationships the bond between characters will increase and so will their battle benefits. Make sure to do these conversations when you can. Having strong bonds between characters can mean the difference between a kill and a death in the story.
After some more cut scenes you will finally be put into battle. The Risen has spread to this land as well as the past. Your characters will spawn on the bottom of the map. There is also empty forts in this battle. Make sure to take advantage of these forts when you can. Make your way through the first set of enemies and make sure to keep your healer back out of the way of the battle.
Keep your hardcore fighters forward in front of your ranged characters. Frederick is a work horse, on a work horse and should be your first character into battle. After your third turn Miriel will join your party. Keep her alive to keep her in your squad. She is very useful later in the game.
Plan accordingly. There are three enemies in the front of the battlefield and 6 enemies on the top side of the map with a boss Risen Chief. Heal up before you head towards the boss fight. And remember, it is always a good idea to lead with Frederick. I like to follow up with my character behind Frederick, then an archer next to Frederick, then a melee fighter next to the archer to create a box around a character. This box creates a strong defense and offense against characters that will make them unstoppable. Defeat all of the characters on the map, including the boss and you will be able to move on to the next chapter.
