If you haven't seen the blog yet, as response to the event below, MZ has actually increased the precision of the reports by adding seconds to them. This is huge benefit to players who want to see how action unfolds when it comes down to the wire.
Note: Regardless of what the haters will say, personally I applaud MZ for speaking out on this matter. I believe this is a good sign of improved customer attention. If they didn't take these matters seriously, they wouldn't have responded publicly the way they have. I know some people are still resolving other issues and hope MZ responds candidly as they have done here.
Hello,
As part of our final review, we wanted to summarize the key points from the multi-day investigation. This will be our final communication on the incident.
HSZ was reimbursed all Troops lost across all rallies in question for the erroneous cancel email caused by the previously noted “Race Condition.”
From our investigation we determined the root cause of the erroneous email, addressed the bug, along with adding seconds to the time-stamps on emails.
Best,
Candi
A screenshot from KSZ shows the rally cancel times do not match MZ reports.
The only bug that occurred was HSZ received an erroneous cancel email notification from a rally he attempted to cancel that had already occurred, there was no bug in the actual rally combat.
We would like to clear up any confusion about the sequence of events in the Super Wonder Battle between HSZ and Stay De Soma. Stay De Soma successfully rallied the Super Wonder, securing a Glorious Victory and capturing HSZ’s Hero. This outcome was a legitimate rally that was logged in the combat system.
It appears confusion has arisen as players tried to piece together the order of events at the Super Wonder through using the notifications from emails. For clarification email reports have always reflected the correct ordering of events. We have since added more granular information by including seconds to the timestamps to all emails to better visualize sequencing of events.
Upon further inspection it was discovered HSZ received an erroneous “Cancel Rally” notification as he attempted to cancel a rally combat that was already being resolved, this was reflected in the correct ordering of the email notifications (see report below). This erroneous
notification should not have been sent. We have since fixed the bug responsible for this erroneous “cancel” notification.
It is worth noting several other actions occurred during the minute between when HSZ became Emperor and Stay De Soma’s rally contested and became victor at the Super Wonder.
In light of the above, we have refunded HSZ for all Rallies taking place between the erroneous notification and the rally from Stay De Soma. We will not be returning HSZ’s Hero as Stay De Soma was the legitimate victor.
There has been quite a lot of drama in the last few hours since the Super Wonder started. Among all the intensity Stay De Soma (one of Stayalive77's alternate accounts) captured HSZ's hero.
The initial reaction by almost everyone was that Stayalive77 is beat HSZ, but upon greater inspection it turns there a was glitch. Not very surprising is it?
Both battle report notifications from KSZ and HSZ show that HSZ canceled the rally before the attack should have hit, but the attack hit anyway and caused HSZ to lose his hero.
I've not hear back yet whether or not Stayalive77 knew about the glitch before he boasted about the victory on his social media accounts, but for now I'm assuming he did not know.
Understandably Kuran seems pretty pissed off in his caption. Without a doubt 1,000s of dollars were spent and many days of preparation were had to get ready for this Super Wonder. Then, within two hours it was all over due one glitch that caused HSZ to lose his very valuable hero.
Kuran mentions that it's a typical excuse to blame things on glitches when it may not have been one, but in this case it's very clear what happened.
Let's hope everyone who lost troops and money in this fight get their money back. There is no excuse when the proof is so evident.
If anyone has more details on this event, let us know in the comments.
Enjoy!
