Once you have downloaded Rec. you can run the app in the background while you game for up to an hour. Unfortunately, it does not record system sound. After you are done, upload your videos to a YouTube with a voice over audio track for commentary. That's it!

If you have an iPhone, it gets a little trickier, but not impossible to record your screen!
The free way for those with a Mac with Yosemite or higher and a device with a lightning connector.
What you need:
To begin, connect your device to your computer. Next, open up the QuickTime app and go File -> New Movie Recording or press Command-Option-N.
When the program opens up, the webcam will engage; don't worry you can easily switch the source of the recording by clicking the small drop down menu next to the record button and clicking on your apple device.
If you do not see your device, make sure it is unlocked.
When you are ready, hit the record button! When you are done, make sure you save the new file.
