Just like the other Pokémon games, Pokémon X and Pokémon Y feature a variety of Gym Leaders for you to battle. Each successful battle grants you a Gym Badge, which lets you successfully train Pokémon to a higher level. Defeating a Gym Leader also typically gets you a nice new skill, and it may even be required for you to move on to the next area. If you feel like you’ve stalled in the game, you probably need to go challenge a Gym Leader! Want to know more about the eight Gym Leaders in X and Y? Use our guide to prepare.
