The long awaited new Super Smash Bros. Wii U & 3DS is finally here, and there are more characters and unlockables than ever before! There are specific unlocks for each version of the game, so no matter which game you are playing, we’ve got you covered. Check out our list of characters and unlockables to get everything in the game!
If you fail to beat a character on Classic Mode, you can just rematch them in a 1 vs. 1 battle. You don’t need to go through the entire mode again just to re-battle them.
You don’t need to win the VS/Smash Mode matches in order for them to count. You just need to complete them, meaning, don’t quit in the middle of a match!
When playing Classic Mode on certain intensity levels, remember that if you lose and retry, it will automatically lower your level by .5. This can cause you to lose the right level for the unlock.
Remember that for Classic Mode, you can customize your characters so that they matching your personal fighting style. Just go to the character select screen and click the wrench to set your own equipment and moves.
Get through 100 matches of Smash Mode or beat Classic Mode on Intensity 6.0 or higher with Bowser.
Play through 50 matches of Smash Mode or finish Classic Mode three times.
Play 60 matches of Smash Mode or get through Classic Mode with Mario at Intensity 4.0 or higher.
Complete 110 Smash Mode matches or complete Classic Mode with 8 different characters.
Play through 20 matches of Smash Mode or beat Classic Mode without using a continue.
Unlock this character by playing through 80 Smash Mode matches or by beating Classic Mode with Link on Intensity 5.0 or higher.
Play 120 Smash Mode matches or collect 30 different pieces of equipment.
Finish 90 matches of Smash Mode or complete Classic Mode with 10 different characters.
Play through 10 Smash Mode matches or complete Classic Mode for the first time.
To unlock this one, finish 70 Smash Mode matches or collect 200 trophies and then play a Smash Mode match.
Finish 30 matches of Smash Mode or complete the 100-Man Smash.
Play 40 matches of Smash Mode or complete All-Star on normal difficulty.
Finish 50 matches of Smash Mode or get through Master Orders on hard difficulty.
Complete 100 Smash Mode matches or get at least 1 KO in Cruel Smash.
Play through 10 matches of Smash Mode or beat Classic Mode for the first time.
Complete 80 matches of Smash Mode or beat Classic Mode with 5 different characters.
Unlock this character by finishing 60 Smash Mode matches or defeat Crazy Hand after completing 10 Crazy Orders matches.
Complete 20 Smash Mode matches or complete the 100-Man Smash.
Use the Villager character three times.
Use Kirby’s Final Smash to open this stage.
Unlock Mr. Game & Watch and also unlock the 2nd challenge page.
Unlock the character Ness to open this stage.
Win 3 Smash Mode battles with Captain Falcon.
Use Pac-Man’s Final Smash to unlock this stage.
Unlock the character Wario to open this stage.
KO at least one fighter in Cruel Smash.
