Video Games P2P route

,Entertainment They went free to play for the very reason every other game has (except for a couple):  millions of new players and a reasonable continuing revenue stream.

The honest truth here is that sub-based gaming as the ONLY available option is dead.  WoW continues this but at the cost of more and more players, there is simply no reason anymore for a mandatory monthly rent eu wow gold.  The smarter games offering F2P offer an excellent array of benefits for paying a sub, but with a very generous F2P option.

Seriously, it's becoming very difficult to see the upside to the P2P route.  All of these B2P games are pumping out more content, more quickly than Blizzard has been doing with WoW, and they all feature crazy-stupid busy game environments full of live players vs. the kind of cross-realmed, minor-patch reality that is becoming true of WoW.  Hell, most of the talk here is buying wow accounts centered around 5.4 which won't release until school starts again, and yet something like RIFT just released a Pandarian-sized patch along with their F2P option.

I offer this not to put WoW down, I still pay for it.  But I must admit I find myself spending less and less time in this game and more and more time in some of these others, simply because there is new stuff to sell world of warcraft accounts DO in those games, and the new WoW content is kind of "done" within a few hours (aside from the gear grind portion of the thing, and PVP, which I love).

We're all consumers and we all make our own value judgements, but some of these games are pumping out an expansion-level of content every month or three and for no extra cash.  The industry has changed, the new reality is rather startling once you start to experience it.

Regarding the transmog question... I think that, if during your class' leveling progress you change your primary armor type, you should be able to mog both types of armor.  In other words, Hunters and Shamans should be able to mog both mail and leather, and Paladins and Warriors should be able to mog both plate and mail. All other classes stick to only one armor type (Druids/Monks/Rogues only ever use leather, Mage/Priest/Warlock only ever use cloth, Death Knights only ever use plate) so they only get to mog their single armor type.  But those who change types ought to be able to mog both types.
