Call of Duty: Ghosts - How to Extract on Extinction
This video that you can see above is just some gameplay I captured a while back of Call of Duty: Ghosts Extinction mode. Specifically, it is the ‘Extraction’ or end game portion. All players in the game have to arm the bomb at the same time and then sprint back to the start of the map where the helicopter will be waiting for you.
If you haven’t played Extinction, or just haven’t finished a game of it without dying then this video shows you how I did it, while I try to provide a few tips to make it easier in this article. Before I do, be sure to check out my previous tips article for Extinction, as it will help get you to the end game. Now, here are some tips that are tailored towards getting you to the helicopter:
- Prepare Yourself – as you’ll see me do in the video, it’s a very good idea to prepare yourself beforehand. Get yourself fully armored up and your weapons fully loaded, you’re about to be tested.
- Just. Keep. Running. – equip your pistol because you move faster with it equipped than you do with any other weapon, and just run. If you watch the video, you’ll notice that the only times I stop running are when I have to because a meteor is blocking my path. At these moments you have to stand and fight, but for the rest of the time its a good idea not to look back and just keep sprinting to the exfil.
- Armor Up – make sure that whoever has body armor equipped keeps throwing it down, especially during the times when you have to wait for the meteors to disappear. In the video above I had fully upgrading my armor, and I threw down 3 sets in the space of about 30 seconds towards the end. It’s imperative that everyone stays alive because even one down can be disastrous.
