How to unlock and change skins in Batman: Arkham Knight

How to unlock skins:

Arkham Knight offers a variety of ways to unlock skins.

The majority of the skins are pre-order bonuses, but there are some still available to access through console exclusives and game completion.

How to change skins:

To find the skins go to the showcase section in the main menu. From here you will find a selection of tabs including skins for the Batmobile and the characters in the game.

The Skins

Batsuit V7.43:

The Batsuit V7.43 skin is the standard suit Batman wears at the start of the game. The skin is fairly basic - limiting the moves you can do, you can’t do the fear takedowns and Batmobile ejections with this one!

Batsuit v8.03:

This skin is unlocked through the story fairly early on. Following in the footsteps of Origin’s armoured style, the V8.03 looks to go for strength over speed. But looks can be deceiving. This Batsuit, through sliding plates, allows Batman to become more agile and fast, while also retaining his usual strength.

The suit also unlocks the fear takedowns and Batmobile ejection.

Classic Batman:

Play as the archetypal Adam West with the unique classic TV Batman skin.

To unlock this skin you have to buy the PS4 version of the game – it’s exclusive to Sony systems until Autumn 2015.

Justice League 3000 Batman:

Adding a hint of red to the Batsuit, the Justice League 3000 skin takes Batman to the 31st century.

This skin, similar to the Classic Batman skin, is unique to the PS4 until Autumn 2015.

First Appearance Batman:

The Bat’s grand debut outfit from Detective Comic #27 in 1939. A lot has changed since the Bat donned this outfit, like the removal of the purple gloves, and the trimming down of the ears.

The skin is available when you purchase the game either from Amazon or if you buy Batman: Arkham Knight - Serious edition.

Anime Batman:

This skin is based on the Gotham Knight series. The series was released in 2000 after the Shadow of the Bat, which ended in 2006.

WBPlay is offering this skin when you sign up to their service. The option will be on the main menu and requires you to sign into your WBPlay account or create a new one.

Batman Beyond:

The Batman Beyond skin was shown in the Batman Beyond TV show, set after Batman: Animated series. Reminiscing the Arkham Knight more than the Batman himself, this skin certainly stands out.

This content is exclusive when you pre-order Batman: Arkham Knight on Steam.

Batman Dark Knight Returns:

The Batman: Dark Knight Return’s skin shows a similar style to the suit used in the upcoming Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Based on the suit Bruce uses in Frank Miller's comic released in 1986, Batman once went to war with Superman wearing this iconic outfit.

Similar to the Batman Beyond skin, this one is exclusively reserved for when you when you per-order Batman: Arkham Knight on Steam.

New 52 Batman skin:

The 52 batsuit is based off the recent New 52 DC comics. The 52 skin also comes with a skin for Robin as well as Nightwing.

The 52 batman skin is bonus content when you buy Batman: Arkham Knight - limited edition.

All skins and Flashpoint skin:

When you buy Batman: Arkham Knight - Season pass you will receive all the bonus content offered along with the exclusive Flashpoint skin

The Flashpoint skin is based on the suit from the Flashpoint comic book series, it is worth noting that this Batman is not Bruce Wayne, it is in fact Thomas Wayne.
