On the 27th November halo 5 will be released and here’s some info for you guys - in the new halo they have introduced a new mode: Warzone. It’s a 12v12 mass war pitting two teams against each other, while you have to concentrate on killing the enemy team - there are now also AI objectives! Currently the AI enemies are only in certain sections of the map, but some people are asking for them to move, let us know what you think in the comments below!
Warzone
Both of the 12-aside teams start on each end of the map and both have to start out by taking control of the first base, which is riddled with either the Covenant or Promethean forces. Then after that is done both teams will make haste to the second base. Each team will collide with more Covenant and Prometheans - and now the other team! Taking out the bases will earn you Requisition points which allows you to get better guns and vehicles. Just don’t die with your gun unless you want to give it to the enemy team! Meanwhile the AI continuously spawns – watch out because they can really turn the tide of battle! With the 12v12, the mass alien invasion, and the bigger map - everything is just a lot bigger!
Gameplay
From analysing the halo 5 gameplay video it looks like the new game plays smoothly and looks pretty fun, it handles well and graphically it looks amazing. I can see the competitive scene with this getting quite big, the way they’ve added warzone and the objectives in it - I cant wait for its release! No halo fan should be disappointed with this new game, as we know halo is a Sci-Fi FPS so you all can expect futuristic guns, ships, and people - and that’s what you get in the new halo!
Vehicles
They haven’t confirmed every vehicle that everyone has requested but what I can tell you about is the new vehicle, and some old returns that are coming back!
Phaeton
The new Vehicle is a flyer made by the Prometheans and a lot of people are excited for this one, we no longer have to just fly around in Banshees everyone!
This is a one seater so you won’t be able to fly around with your friends but at least you will still be able to fly this beast right? The UNSC forces encountered this in a few engagements following the Requiem Campaign, and now we get to fly it!
Banshee
We all know this terror right? And how cool we all looked when we hijacked one of these out the air! Well these things will be coming with us to the new battles in halo 5, but the true question is: who will win out of the Banshee or Phaeton?!
Warthog
Who can forget these, getting some friends on one of these was one of the best things I did in halo! Driving around killing a bunch of people in the good old Warthog will thankfully be in the new halo, with all the old attachments also, so using these in the new game mode will be very beneficial to capture the new objectives.
Ghost
The quick attack vehicle made by the Covenant, used by people not only for the attack speed, but for the movement speed too. I think when everyone got in one of these for the first time it just involved crashing am I right?
Mantis
We all love this vehicle. Reminds me of the titans in TitanFall, the Mantis was good in almost any situation in halo - it was one of the best in my opinion the rockets and machine is so good you could say: “man, ‘tis” good!
Spartan Abilities
There are no longer armour abilities people! There are only Spartan abilities now, so you can finally use all 7 at once.
Thruster Pack: Similar to Thruster Pack from Halo 4, except now you can move in any direction.
Ground Pound: While in air, you can slam down into the ground, potentially killing anyone below!
Clamber: If you miss a ledge, you can pull yourself up.
Slide: While sprinting, you can slide.
Charge: While sprinting, you can slam into an enemy, seems a bit overpowered.
Sprint: Sprinting like in Halo 4, but after a certain amount of time, you’ll achieve the perfect velocity to activate the previous two abilities. Sprinting will now stop shield recharge!
Smart Scope: A zoom function that applies to all weapons. Each weapon has a different degree of zoom.
