How To Find All 13 Rare Skulls In Halo 5: Guardians’ Campaign

This guide could contain possible spoilers if you’ve been holding out on watching Halo 5 videos. With that said, the past Halo games sported rare skulls that were scattered around the stages in their campaign modes. These skulls add different features to the game, like a new experience that can make it either challenging or more fun, and for those looking for all 13 there’s a video and guide to help you out.

The first and second Halo didn’t sport skulls that were scattered around the stages as collectibles, but instead they were in the game as an odd ball. However, as the games started to progress on, players got the chance to find collectible rare skulls that could alter the single player campaign mode, which added features that would make your experience much more challenging.

As many of you know, Halo 5: Guardians is available, and like the past traditions in the ongoing series, it sports hidden skulls. Thanks to Achievement Hunter and their YouTube channel, folks will be able to find all 13 hidden rare skulls, which can be a bit tricky to find if you are playing the game for the first few times.

Halo 5 Skulls

Below is the list of all 13 rare skulls, and what they can do:

  • Mission 1: IWHBYD – makes rare combat dialog more common than before.
  • Mission 2: Black Eye – Shields do not recharge until you melee an enemy.
  • Mission 3: Iron – Cannot revive or be revived.
  • Mission 5: Blind – HUD and first-person arms and weapons are hidden.
  • Mission 6: Thunderstorm – Enemy abilities upgraded.
  • Mission 7: Grunt Birthday Party – Head shot a Grunt for a surprise.
  • Mission 7: Fog – Disables your motion sensor.
  • Mission 8: Mythic – Increases the enemies health.
  • Mission 10: Catch – Enemies like to throw grenades more.
  • Mission 12: Cowbell – Explosions are increased and accelerated.
  • Mission 13: Tilt – Enemies weakness enhanced, and they gain increased resistance.
  • Mission 14: Famine – Weapons drop less ammo.
  • Mission 15: Tough Luck – Enemies use more tactics, never flee and go berserk.

You can watch the video that shows a list of locations where the rare skulls are scattered around the campaign mode, thanks to achievement Hunter and their playthrough of the campaign mode, as seen below.

And that’s basically it. As seen in the video, some of the skulls might give you a challenge, but if you like collecting and finding in-game Easter eggs and hidden content, these skulls should give you something to do — if you’re up for the challenge.
