Pokemon Platinum Guide

The Coal Badge

Twinleaf Town
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Feel free to check the furnitures in your room if you like, then go
downstairs for a brief chat with mom. Exit out to town and try to enter the
northwest house. Nolan will run into you before going back to his room.
Follow him upstairs, and once he leaves again, go outside and head north to
Route 201 where your friend awaits.

Route 201
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Nolan will try talking you into dashing through the tall grass.Rowan then
appears to let you take a Pokemon of your choice, so go on and examine the
briefcase: left -> Turtwig; center -> Chimchar; right -> Piplup. Once
you've made your choice, Rowan leaves and Nolan will challenge you to a
Pokemon battle right away. Go back home once you beat him.

Twinleaf Town
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Key Items: Running Shoes

Mom will give you a pair of RUNNING SHOES, which allows you to dash while
holding down the B button. Go back to Route 201 to meet your friend one more
time. He wants to go catch the Pokemon at Lake Verity, and as always, you
can't say no, so head west and go into the lake. Watch the event with Cyrus
here. Leave the area now.

Route 201 & Sandgem Town
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Items: Potion x2, Items: Pokedex, TM27 Return, Antidote, Journal, Parcel

 ----------------------------------
| Pokemon [Route 201 : Tall Grass] |
--------------- ------------------
| Starly        | Lv. 2-3          |
| Bidoof        | Lv. 2-3          |
--------------- ------------------

Return to Route 201 and take the east path this time. Proceed north then
west along the tall grass and speak to the lady there. She wil give you a
POTION. I suggest taking the time to battle some wild Pokemon for level up
before continuing to Sandgem Town.

The professor's assistant will greet you the moment you arrive then take
you to the lab where Professor Rowan gives you a Pokedex. Exit the lab to
get an extra gift from Rowan -- a TM27 RETURN. Let his assistant show you
around afterwards. Visit the Pokemon Center and speak to the receptionist
at the front desk to heal your Pokemon. Check out the Poke Mart as well to
purchase Poke Balls or Potions if you want.

After that, go back home and talk to mom. She'll give you a Journal. You
will also get a Parcel from your rival's mother. Now return to Sandgem Town
and proceed southwest along the sandy area for an ANTIDOTE at the lower
section. Turn back up to Route 202.

Route 202 & Jubilife City
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Items: Poke Ball x5, Versus Recorder, Quick Claw, Old Rod, Potion,
       X Accuracy, X Attack, Poketech.

 ---------------------------------
| Pokemon [Route 202 : Tall Grass |
--------------- -----------------
| Bidoof        | Lv. 2-4         |
| Kricketot     | Lv. 3-4         |
| Shinx         | Lv. 3-4         |
| Starly        | Lv. 2-4         |
--------------- -----------------

You'll receive some tutorials from Rowan's assistant regarding Pokemon
catching. He or she then gives you 5 POKE BALLS. Try capturing higher level
Pokemon if possible (level 3 or 4 ones are good). Once you're ready, go
along the linear path and accept challenges from other Pokemon Trainers on
the way.

When you reach the end of the path, go left first for a POTION in the tall
grass. Continue north to Jubilife City afterwards. You will meet the
professor's assistant yet again, who suggests you go visit the training
school. Mr. Looker will give a VS RECORDER as well.

You might want to look around town first though. Drop by the Pokemon Center
to heal up your Pokemon if needed. Next, enter the Jubilife Condominiums
and talk to the blond girl. She will give you the QUICK CLAW item. Next,
visit the police station to the northwest of town. Speak to the guy in red,
and when he asks about the old rod, say yes. You'll receive the OLD ROD key
item from him. Take the west exit of the station out to Route 218.

There, you can use the Old Rod to fish for some new Pokemon. To use the item,
register it first using the Y button. Now, cast the line and wait until an
"!" appears on your character's head. When this happens, quickly press A to
reel the line in. You must battle them caught Pokemon before you can keep it.
Magikarp, a fairly useless Pokemon is very common in this area. There is an
X ACCURACY here too. So be sure to grab it.

Return to town and go south into the narrow alley behind a building for a
POTION. Enter the training school. Talk to Nolan, who awaits near the
blackboard and hand give him the Parcel. You'll get the TOWN MAP afterwards.
Talk to the people on the blue carpet for some Pokemon battles.

There is an X ATTACK at the upper-left corner of the room. You'll run into a
guy from Poketech Company when you leave the training school.  He will then
ask you to look for 3 Campaign Clowns and answer their Pokemon questions to
get a coupon. Deliver all 3 coupons to the Poketech guy, and he will give
you a Poketech. The locations of the clowns are listed below:

* In front of the lengthwise building to the right of the Pokemon Center.
* In front of the Jubilife TV Station.
* In front of the Poketech Building.

Now, proceed east from the Jubilife TV Station then past the Condominiums to
Route 203, or you can also head north instead to reach Route 204.

Route 203 & Route 204
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Items: Paralyz Heal, Potion, Poke Ball, X Defend, Repel.

| Shinx       | Lv. 4-5            |
| Starly      | Lv. 4-6            |
------------- --------------------

Head for Route 204 first. There are plenty of Pokemon battles to be fought
here. Have a look at the eastern portion of the area to find a PARLYZ HEAL.

A Budew Pokemon is available for capture along the grassy parts of this area.
There is also a cave entrance further up that leads to the Ravaged Path. You
can get a POTION inside. Psyduck can be captured in this cave as well, but
it hardly ever shows itself during daytime. Go back to Jubilife City and
continue to Route 203.

Your rival Nolan will challenge you to a Pokemon battle. He has 2 Pokemons
-- a Starly and another which depends on your Pokemon of choice from Rowan's
briefcase earlier in the game. You'll receive 124 Exp, and P900 for winning.
Return to the Pokemon Center to heal if you like, then continue along Route
203 and participate in some more Pokemon battles along the way.

Proceed up along the grass then right around the corner for a POKE BALL. Next,
turn back south and east up the upper area. Follow some more linear paths and
participate in some more Pokemon battles.

After beating Madeline, go south then west along the narrow path for an
X DEFEND. At the end of the path, head left down the steps to find a
REPEL item. Go back east and continue through the cave entrance towards
Oreburgh Gate.

Oreburgh Gate, Oreburgh City, and Oreburgh Mine
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

------------------------------   | Zubat        | Lv. 8          |
                                  -------------- ----------------

A guy will hand over the HM06 ROCK SMASH as soon as you get here. The HM06
grants the Rock Smash ability to a Pokemon, but you will need to have Coal
Badge, which you can get from the Oreburgh Gym to be able to use the said
ability outside battle. You can capture a Geodude Pokemon here as well.

Go east towards the cave exit. Defeat both Pokemon trainers along the way.

A guy will show up and take you to the gym the moment you arrive at the city
Talk to Nolan at the entrance and he'll say that the gym leader went to the
mine. Check out the town for a bit before proceeding to the mine. Start off
by entering the first library building (near the city entrance). There, head
to the 2nd floor and talk to one of the girls for a DUSK BALL.

Leave and head to the 2nd floor of the other building. Talk to the boy who
is at the right side of the area. He'll ask if you can show him a Geodude
Pokemon. Make sure you have the said Pokemon in your inventory, and the boy
will give you a HEAL BALL for it. Also, there's a girl here who wants to
trade her Abra for a Machop. Feel free to trade with her if you like.

Head back outside and visit the library building southeast of the city.
Proceed to the 2nd floor and talk to the kid with a blue cap. He'll give
you a GREAT BALL. Now, go south from the Pokemon Center then head west and
north to a giant boulder. Grab the DIRE HIT and YELLOW SHARD here. Next,
head for the mine at the southmost part of the city. Go inside. You may want
to head northwards to Route 207 and capture a Machop in the Tall Grass areas.
Don't forget to grab the POKE BALL at the nowrthwest corner too.

In the mine, go right to pick up a POKE BALL. Continue down further into the
mine. At the next area, go left then down to find an ESCAPE ROPE. Battle
with some of the workers here.

Speak to the guy in red who turns out to be the Gym Leader. Go on a bit
further to find a POTION. Head back out to the city and into the gym.

Battle your way north and face Roark at the top.

|                   | Onix (Lv. 12)                 |   $1680  |
------------------- ------------------------------- ----------
| If you have a high level grass or water type Pokemon, then   |
| this battle won't be that much of a challenge. Just use      |
| Grass and Water type attacks and win real quick. Fight-type  |
| Pokemon work well on Roark's roster too, so a well-leveled   |
| Machop will be quite effective.                              |
--------------------------------------------------------------

You'll receive the COAL BADGE and a TM76 (Stealth Rock ability). You can now
use Rock Smash outside of battles. Try to leave the city and you'll run into
Nolan... again. He'll tip you off on the location of the next gym, which is
in Eterna City. Heal up your Pokemon and save your game before leaving.

You can't proceed through Route 207. So you'll have to take the long way
starting from Jubilife City.

Pal Pad if don't already have it. Now, enter the Pokemon Center and take
the escalatpr down to the basement. The lady here will give you the PAL
PAD. Go back outside now. Head north to Route 204 and you'll meet the
Professor and his assistant, being bothered by Team Galactic. You'll be
participating in your first double battle soon after. It will be you and
Rowan's assistant versus the Galactic Grunts.

After the battle, a woman from Jubilife TV Station will approach you and
hand over a FASHION CASE. Have a look inside the TV Staton if you like.
Otherwise continue north towards Route 204. There, make your way to the cave
to the north of the area and go in.

You'll be in the Ravaged Path now. If you haven't picked up the POTION here
earlier then do so now. Go west, smash the rocks, and grab the TM39. Turn
back east, smash more rocks and head for the exit.

You'll end up on the higher section of Route 204. There will be more Pokemon
Trainer battles to participate in.

Grab the AWAKENING after defeating Taylor, then snag the TM09 BULLET SEED
after winning against Liv & Liz. Continue onwards to Floaroma Town.

Floaroma Town, Valley Windworks, & Floaroma Meadows
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Items: TM88, Chesto Berry, Sprayduck, Honey, Potion.

| Pachirisu        | Lv. 7-8              |
| Shellos          | Lv. 7-9              |
------------------ ----------------------

Enter the cottage to the north of the flower field and talk to the little
girl there. Agree with her when she talks about Pokemon plucking berries,
to receive the TM88. Next, visit the Flower Shop and speak to both
brunette ladies. One will give you a CHESTO BERRY and the other a SPRAYDUCK.
Talk to the lady by the cash register to exchange your berries for
different accessories. Go north to the Floaroma Meadows.

Approach the Galactic Grunts and defeat their Pokemons. The second Grunt
will challenge you after you win against the first one.

 ------------------- --------------------- ----------
| Trainer           | Pokemon             | Rewards  |
------------------- --------------------- ----------
| Galactic Grunt    | Stunky (Lv. 13)     |   $520   |
| Galactic Grunt    | Zubat (Lv. 11)      |   $440   |
------------------- --------------------- ----------

Obtain the WORKS KEY and HONEY from the man you just helped. You can also
buy some Honey from him for 100 credits. Slather the honey on the YELLOW
GREEN trees to attract rare Pokemon. Now, head back to town and go east to
the Valley Windworks.

Pick up the POTION at the eastmost portion. You may want to run around the
Tall Grass a bit to capture some new Pokemon (Buizel, Shellos, Parichisu).
Talk to the Grunt blocking the entrance to the Windworks Building to battle
him.

------------------- --------------------- ----------
| Trainer           | Pokemon             | Rewards  |
------------------- --------------------- ----------
| Galactic Grunt    | Glameow (Lv. 13)    |   $520   |
------------------- --------------------- ----------

The Grunt will lock himself inside the building, taking the key with him.
You'll need to grab another key, which you should already have. Use it to
open the door and go inside.

Defeat all the Galactic Grunts and their commander.

 ------------------- --------------------- -----------
| Boss              | Pokemon             | Rewards   |
------------------- --------------------- -----------
|                   | Zubat (Lv. 15)      |   --      |
| Commander Mars    | Purugly (Lv. 17)    |   $1360   |
------------------- --------------------- -----------
| The Zubat has Bite which can inflict Poison, but    |
| the only real challenge here is the Purugly, which  |
| may prove tough if you're using the wrong Pokemon.  |
| Your best choice is to use a Fighting type Pokemon, |
| like Machop. Machop's Karate Chop move should be    |
| pretty effective against Purugly.                   |
-----------------------------------------------------

Route 205 & Eterna Forest
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Items: X Sp Def, Heal Ball, Repel, Super Potion, Antidote, Paralyz Heal,
Net Ball, Potion, Green Shard, Guard Spec.

                                     --------------- ---------------------

Your next stop is Route 205, but before you go, I would suggest buying
plenty of Antidotes from the Poke Mart back in town fisrt, You'll need them
once you get to the forest. Just head north while participating in Pokemon
battles on the way.

Grab the X SP DEF after defeating Hiker Daniel. Once you reach a fork, head
down then northwest to find a HEAL BALL. Head up and across the bridge.
Defeat the next 3 Pokemon Trainers. You may rest in the cottage along the
way as well. Grab the REPEL. There is a SUPER POTION at the lower portion of
the area. Proceed into Eterna Forest.

A Pokemon Trainer named Cheryl will join you here. All random encounters in
this forest will be a double battle. The great thing about Cheryl is she
restores your Pokemon's HP and PP to full after each battle. Her Pokemon
Chansey uses Egg Bomb and Softboiled. Egg Bomb does decent damage, but it
also misses quite often.

Head west to grab an ANTIDOTE. More Trainer Battles to compete in.

Pick up the PARALYZ HEAL after defeating Jack and Briana. Pick up the NET BALL
to the southeast of the Psychic Twins. Check the bottom-right corner of the
forest to find a POTION, then go around northwest for a GREEN SHARD. Continue
onwards to the exit. Cheryl will give you a SOOTHE BELL before she leaves.
You may want run around the tallgrass and capture some new Pokemon. Exit the
forest when you're done.

You'll end up in a different section of Route 205. Go east the turn south-
west to find a GUARD SPEC. Head right across the docks and battle with the
fishermen here.

You may fish for a Goldeen Pokemon here. But it is extremely rare. Continue
further east into Eterna City.

Navigate around the building by stepping on the directinal panels on the
floor. You can pick up a BURN HEAL at the northern portion. There is a
FIRE STONE at the northeast part of the area. The southeast sector has a

Team Galactic will be hanging around this town as well, but ignore them
for now. Heal at the Pokemon Center if you need to and head to the north
end of the city to meet up with Nolan. Both he and Cyrus will leave after
some dialogue. Now, proceed to the top of the plateau and stand directly
above the statue and press A to obtain a DRACO PLATE.

Turn back down to meet with Cynthia who will give you the HM01 Cut. Next,
enter the house to the east of the Pokemon Center; talk to the man there
and he will give you the Explorer Kit.

Next, go further down. Continue all the way through the gap between the
trees then head east for a SUPER POTION. Head for the gym entrance and talk
to the girl there, who turns out to be the gym leader, Gardenia.

This gym will be so much easier to navigate around this time. The leaves
will simply turn and open your next path whenever you defeat a trainer.
Win against 3 trainers to get to Gardenia and battle her.

------------------- ------------------------------ ----------
| Leader            | Pokemon                      | Rewards  |

|                   | Roserade (Lv. 22)            |   $2640  |
------------------- ------------------------------ ----------
| If you have high level fire Pokemon with fire-type attacks. |
| Then these battles shouldn't be too hard. Otherwise, bring  |
| in your high level grass Pokemon to defend against your     |
| opponent's grass-type attacks. Or bring in a grass Pokemon  |
| that has the Bite ability. The said move deals a good deal  |
| of damage and sometimes makes the target flinch, causing    |
| them to skip a turn.                                        |
|                                                             |
| Roserade's Magical Leaf causes Paralysis, so be sure bring  |
| plenty of Parlyz Heals. Use Potions when necessary. As for  |
| Turtwig, repeatedly use Bite on it. Gardenia will use a     |
| Super Potion once Turtwig is low on health, so you'll have  |
| to deplete its HP again.                                    |
-------------------------------------------------------------

You'll receive the FOREST BADGE & the TM86 (Grass Knot) afterwards.

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

The Old Chateau

Items: Ether, Rare Candy, Big Pearl, Dread Plate, Old Gateau, TM90.

Note : This area is completely optional.

| Gastly       | Lv. 12-16  |

There are some trees to the north of the Eterna Forest exit (leading to
Eterna City), that you can cut to gain access to this area. Before you go
in, check the right corner at the side of the house for an ETHER. Go inside
afterwards. Head north into the dining room. There, head west and examine
the top-right trash can to find a RARE CANDY Leave the room and proceed to
the second floor.

Enter the left room. Pick up an OLD GATEAU inside. Go back out and into the
center room. Grab a DREAD PLATE in the left-most room and a TM90
(Substitute) in the right-most room. Enter the second room from the left
and thump the TV there to release Rotom. Take note that this event only
occurs any time from 8pm onwards.

 ----------------------------------------------------------------
| Legendary Pokemon Rotom                                        |
----------------------------------------------------------------
| This Pokemon is very low level. So it is very easy to knock it |
| out accidentally. Bring in your weakest Pokemon (a low level   |
| one) and chip away Rotom's HP. Once it drops to red, throw an  |
| Ultra Ball to capture it. Chances are it won't be able to      |
| break free, since it is a low level Pokemon.                   |

Cut the "trees" in front of the Galactic Building to access it. Cutting the
"trees" at the northeast portion opens a path leading to a TM46. Proceed
into the building and meet Looker in a Grunt disguise. Beat the first pair
of Grunts then go up the stairs. Get rid of the next Grunt and grab the
X SPEED. Navigate around the building picking up an X SPECIAL, a BLUE SHARD
REVIVE and UPGRADE.

Save your game at the top floor. You may leave the building and go to the
Pokemon Center to heal your Pokemon if necessary.

| The Skuntank uses Smokscreen and Screech, which    |

| respectively. It also uses Poison Gas, which of    |
| course causes Poison. So make sure you have plenty |
| of Antidotes at your disposal. Use healing items   |
| when necessary.                                    |

After that battle, leave the building and proceed to the Cycle Shop. The
owner will give you BICYCLE. Hold B to switch gears on it. Leave and go
all the way south into Route 206. prof assistant's dad will give you the
EXP SHARE (if you have 30 or more Pokemon in your Pokedex). Go to Route
206 Here, Just pedal southwards. You may battle with other cyclists too.

At the second gatepost, speak to the girl there for a FLAG.

You'll eventually reach a different section of Route 206. Cut the "trees"
and head north along the right side path. Go left at the fork for a BURN HEAL.
Proceed to the top-left portion. Pick the 2 RAWST BERRIES. Turn back, then
head up the right side path. Grab the SUPER REPEL. Proceed further up to
battle Theodore. There is a tree to your right that you can cut to gain
access to a FULL HEAL.

From here, go down a bit then head left to find a POISON BARB. There are
new Pokemon to be captured on the tall grass too. Go all the way back
down to Route 207 when you're done.

< Wayward Cave : 1F >

Use the Flash ability to illuminate the cave as soon as you enter. Head up
to reach the first fork. Go right first and examine one of the rocks there
to get a GREEN SHARD. Turn around to the left, smash the rock and continue
up. At the next intersection, head left past the breakable rock all the way
to the end and go down. You should see a Pokeball containing an ESCAPE ROPE
on the way. Defeat the Trainers. Check one of the rocks below them to find a
BLUE SHARD. There is a YELLOW SHARD in one of the rocks in the room where
you met Mira. You need the Dowsing Machine to find it though.

Return to the split path, go left and down to battle 2 more Trainers. After
beating them, smash the rock and pick up the GREAT BALL. Now, backtrack all
the way to the second intersection in this cave, and head north. At the next
split, go left then down. Battle with the Trainers; grab the TM32 afterwards.
Again, go back to the intersection.

From there, head right then down. Continue east and down again towards
another fork. Head right and battle with 2 more Trainers. Return to the
split. Go south; smash the breakable rock then follow the long, linear pat
all the way to the next fork. There, proceed south. Defeat the last pair of
Trainers and check one of the rocks below them for a RED SHARD.

Turn back and follow the path northwest. Once you get to the end, examine
the bottom rock for a NUGGET. Talk to the girl there and lead her to the
exit.

< Wayward Cave : B1F >

At Route 206, proceed to the west side of the Wayward Cave entrance. Then
head east 2 steps under the Cycling Road. From here, head north and you
should be able to access a cave. Use Flash as soon as you enter to
illuminate the area. Push the boulder out of the way and continue downstairs
to the next room.

This part of the cave involves bike jumping, and lots of it. So feel free to
use Max Repels to travel in peace. Start off by heading west towards the
first slope. Examine the top-left rock to get a STARDUST. Pedal up the slope
on your bike. Do the same for the next one.

Shift to the highest gear on your bicycle and pedal east, jumping over all
the ramps. Grab a MAX ETHER at the end. Proceed a bit northwest down the
ledge afterwards. Now, bike jump over the nearby ramp, so that you land
between it and the rock. Continue southeast then north.

Jump over the ramp to your left, pedal across the plank, and down the
stairs. Go up then right over the ramp. Pick up the GRIP CLAW. Turn back
west and up the slope at the end. Proceed east, jump past the first ramp for
a RARE CANDY. Turn back once more, jumping over all the ramps to the end.

There, go around to the top passage. Shift to top speed on your bicycle and
jump over the ramp to land next to the stairs. Go all the way down. Take
the stairs up to the upper floor. Grab TM26 (Earthquake). Use an Escape Rope
to leave the cave.

Trainer battles.

To the south of Kevin's position is REVIVE. Go back to the lower sector and
grab the SUPER POTION, Proceed further right into Mt. Coronet. You'll run
into the professor's assistant here and he'll ask you to pick between right
and left hands. I picked right so I got a VS SEEKER. He'll also give you the
DOWSING MACHINE POKETECH APP. This app will help you spot hidden items.

The path in this cave is really straight forward. Just head southeast, and
after that dialogue with the blue-haired man, go up the steps then down to
the right side to find the cave exit.

You'll be at Route 208 now. Begin by defeating Robert and take the north
bridge to find a GREAT BALL. Continue right along the bridge. Proceed
northwest and smash the rocks for an ETHER. There is a guy to the south of
the area who will give you an ODD KEYSTONE. You can also pick plenty of
berries to the left of the cottage too.

Go inside the house and talk to the little girl there. Say yes when
prompted to and she'll give you the BERRY SEARCHER POKETECH APP. Speak to
the old man for an Aspear Berry. You can find a TINY MUSHROOM south of the
Aroma Lady using the Dowsing Machine.

Proceed a bit further into the city to meet Keira, who invites you to the
Contest Hall, But first, head to the Pokemon Center to heal if you need
to, then go into the nearby house. Talk to Bebe here for a level 20 Evee
(if you have an empty slot in your party list).

Next up is the Pokemon Contest Hall, the largest building at the northmost
part of the city. Mom will give you a DRESS or a TUXEDO. Keira will also
give you a GLITTER POWDER. Now, speak to the lady in purple at the east
side. She is Fantina, and this time you can battle her right away, unlike
in Diamond and Pearl. Finally, head for the house east of the Pokemon Center
and speak to the man there to get a POFFIN CASE. Time to visit Amity Square.

The Amity Square is an area located behind the Pokemon Gym in Hearthome City.
You can stroll with any cute Pokemon here You'll find a TM45 ATTRACT northeast
of the area. There is a TM43 SECRET POWER at the southern sector. A SPOOKY
PLATE can be found at the northeast part of the upper level. Check inside
the left stone structure for an AMULET COIN. Head for the gym now.

This place is nothing like its counterpart in Diamond/Pearl. First off, you
will be given a torch to see better. Now, move along and battle the first 2
trainers that you encounter, then locate the blue shape on the floor and
proceed into the matching door up ahead. Keep using the same method to get
past the maze, and you'll eventually reach Fantina's room.

| Fantina    | Haunter (Lv. 24)            |   --     |
|            | Mismagius (Lv. 26)          |   $3120  |
------------ ----------------------------- ----------
| This is one tough battle. Fantina uses Ghost-type   |
| Pokemon so Normal and Ground type attacks are       |
| won't work on them. Your best choice here is to use |
| Dark-type moves such as Bite and Crunch. Rotom's    |
| Ominous Wind move work very well too.               |
|                                                     |
| The Mismagius can use Shadow Ball, a rather deadly  |
| Dark move especially against your Ghost Pokemon, so |
| watch out for that.
-----------------------------------------------------

You'll receive the RELIC BADGE and TM65 (Shadow Claw) from Fantina
afterwards. Go back outside and try to leave the city. You'll meet up
with Nolan again, and he'll challenge you to a battle. He will have a
different set of Pokemon, depending on which Pokemon you picked from the
briefcase very early in the game. Take the southeast exit out to Route 209.

The leftmost room at the west corridor has a GREAT BALL. The maid in the
next room will give you a SOOTH BELL. The first room at the east corridor
has a TM87 SWAGGER. Go back to the main hall and proceed north into the
Trophy Garden. You can catch a Roselia, Pichu and Pikachu there.

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

At Route 209, go north at the starting point for a GREAT BALL. Continue

to receive the GOOD ROD. You can fish for a pretty high level Goldeen
Pokemon in the water if you like. Proceed northwest across the dock to pick
some berries.

Battle with the twins as well as Danielle along the way. Head south from
Danielle's position, and go around to the top for a HYPER POTION. You can
collect an ETHER in the ditch too. To the right of Jennifer's position is a
crumbling tower. You can insert the ODD KEYSTONE there. After defeating
Shelley, go down for the TM47 STEEL WING.

Defeat Ty and Sue. You can either proceed north to Solaceon Town or enter
the Lost Tower from here. I recommend going to the tower, but you might
want to rest your Pokemon at the town first.

for winning. You can also capture a Gastly and a Golbat Pokemon here.
Pick up an OVAL STONE, REVIVE and the TM27 RETURN on your way up.

There is nothing for you to get at the top of the tower this time
around; that is until you get hold of the ability Defog. Once you do, return
to this floor and use the said ability to clear the fog then talk to the
ladies that you see to get a SPELL TAG and CLEANSE TAG.

Take your Pokemon to the Pokemon Center to rest and save your game
afterwards. Pick the berries near the town entrance. Speak to the nearby to
get the POKEMON HISTORY POKETECH APP. You can also check out the Pokemon

of your Pokemon. Drop off 2 Pokemon and speak to the new guy that appears
in the Day Care to receive the DAY CARE CHECKER POKETECH APP. Finally,
check behind the Pokemon Center, to the right to find some steps down the
cliff. Jump down the second set of steps. Once you reach the bottom, enter
the house, and talk to the lady there. She'll give you the SEAL CASE.

Take another trip to the back of the Pokemon Center, and take the third
set of steps this time. You'll find a cave at the bottom. Go in.

Solaceon Ruins
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Note : Once again, this area is completely optional.

You may check the symbols on the north wall in the first area. The symbols
point the way to the treasure chamber at the bottom of the ruins. Take the
following sets of stairs to get there: TOP-RIGHT, BOTTOM-LEFT, TOP-RIGHT,
TOP-LEFT, TOP-LEFT, BOTTOM-LEFT. Though you might want to check the other
rooms first. The solitary rock within certain rooms contain items. So be
sure to examine them.

The "rock items" are FIRE STONE, WATER STONE, and THUNDER STONE. The items
in the treasure room are RARE CANDY, NUGGET, ODD INCENSE, MIND PLATE and
HM05 DEFOG. Also, don't forget to capture an Unown Pokemon anwhere within
the ruins, for your Pokedex.

you'll see a girl standing on higher ground to the right. Talk to her to
receive the TM51. After defeating Kahlil, head north to find a SUPER REPEL.
Continue onwards and once you reach the Cafe, go inside for more battles.

Onwards to Route 215. Make your way around and head east under the bridge
for an MAX ETHER. Continue down, then up the steps. Talk to the black belt
guy there to receive the TM66. Now, move along the bridge heading northwest,
then down the steps at the end. Cut the bush to your right. Proceed eastward
and grab the FIST PLATE next to Gregory after beating him.

Jump down, head south, cut the bush blocking the way and pick the berries.
Continue up the steps, cross the bridge south for a SUPER POTION. Turn back
north then east. After beating Nathaniel, go southeast a bit and cut the
tree to get a TM34. Proceed west then jump down at the end to find a FULL
HEAL.

Continue further right and pick the berries. Go on towards Veilstone City.

Veilstone City
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Items: Counter, Sticky Barb, TM63, Coin Case.

This is a big city, so there are plenty of things you can do here. Start off
by visiting the department store, located just behind the Pokemon Center.
Talk to the old guy in the first floor to get a Mask of prof assistant's
initial Pokemon. At the second floor, talk to the lady behind the bottom
counter and she'll give you the COUNTER POKETECH APP. Next, proceed to the
fifth floor and speak to one of the buff guys standing near the escalator.
He'll give you a STICKY BARB.

Talk to the man outside the pair of houses to the left of the Game Corner.
He'll give you the TM63. The lady inside the left house will offer to give
your Pokemon a massage and find an accessory for you afterwards. Enter the
other house and talk to the clown, say "LEFT" to get the COIN CASE.

Check out the Game Center next. Talk to the standing brown-haired man and
he'll give you 20 Coins. You can play on the slot machines and exchange the
coins you won for prizes in the house next-door. You may buy coins from the
lady at the counter too. 50 coins is worth $1000 and 500 coins is $10,000.
Lining up the same images diagonally or horizontally is valid.

Head to the Pokemon Gym when you're done. It's a good idea to bring high
level Psychic and Flying type Pokemon, since the Gym Leader uses Fighting
type ones.

Fight the trainers here for experience points then head to the Pokemon
Center to heal before returning to the gym. This gym has changed -- you now
get to hit the punching bags and have them smash the tires to open up paths
that will eventually lead to the gym leader.

You'll find Rowan's assistant waiting outside the Pokemon Gym, asking for
your help to retrieve her Pokedex from the Galactic Grunts. Head over to
the Pokemon Center and rest your Pokemon first. Also, there's a STAR PIECE
tucked in the left corner of the Galactic Building. Rendezvous with your
friend behind the Department Store and agree to help him.

After the battle, go inside the warhouse qand grab the HM02 FLY. Go all the
way back to Hearthome City, then take the south exit to Route 212.

If you visited the Pokemon Mansion earlier, then you should already have
beaten all the trainers, as well as picked up the TM11 in this portion of
the area. So make your way south and pick up the ELIXIR along the way. It
will eventually start raining. And you'll meet up with a new group of
trainers here.

After defeating Allison and Jeffrey, go southeast and cut the small tree.
Continue southwest, defeat Stefano, then grab the MAX REPEL. Go back to the
fork and head right this time. Climb the steps next to Dominique and pedal
across the narrow plank in your bicycle. Take the CARBOS Turn back and head
for the docks. You can battle with the fishermen there too.

Head east across the docks, then south onto the marsh. If you get stuck just
squirm around for a bit to get free. The BIG ROOT can be found at the
southeastern portion of the swamp. Continue east. Pick the berries to your
right and cut the small tree to your left. Pedal across the plank, head down
the steps and grab the RED SHARD.

Battle with Shaun. Proceed west, cutting through trees along the way. Defeat
Sabrina, grab the MAGMARIZER then jump down. Head right across the swamp.
Once on land, go north under the plank for a RAZOR FANG at the end. Turn
back and continue right to Pastoria City.

Pastoria City

Items: Match Up Checker, Full Heal, Red Shard x2, Yellow Shard, Poke Ball x2
Blue Shard, Toxic Plate, Great Ball

Enter the house closest to the city entrance. Talk to the lady there to get
a berry. Next, use yout Dowsing Machine at the puddle of water south of the
city. (The one surrounded by trees.) to find a FULL HEAL. Proceed to the
Observatory located north of the city. Talk to one of the ladies at the
counter to play the Safari game for $500. You'll be given 30 Safari Balls to
capture Pokemon with. I recommend that you try this since there are several
new Pokemon that can be captured in the marsh.

Talk to the girl at the entrance of the Great Marsh to get the MATCHUP
CHECKER. You can take the tram to different areas in the marsh. You can
capture a Skorupi and Marill in Area 2. You can pick up a RED SHARD, YELLOW
SHARD, POKE BALL, BLUE SHARD, and TOXIC PLATE in Area 1&2. POKE BALL in Area
3. Azurill and Quagsire Pokemon are in Area 4. There is also a POKE BALL and
RED SHARD here. You can find an ANTIDOTE in Area 5. And lastly, a Golduck
can be captured in Area 6.

When attempting to capture a Pokemon, don't waste turns throwng baits at it,
since your target will flee after several turns. Just throw Safari Balls
until you catch it.

Head for the gym when you're done. Your rival, Nolan will appear once again
to challenge you. Beat him and enter the gym.

You'll have to solve a water puzzle before you can get to Wake, who is
waiting up north. You must either raise or lower the water level to cross
the bridges. The red switch drains the water completely, the green one fills
the water halfway, and the blue fills the water to full.

| The Gyrados can be a pain because it knows Swagger, |

|                                                     |

trigger the next scene. Chase the Grunt, heading towards Route 214. Keep
talking to the goon until he finally stops to fight you at the Lakefront.

At Route 213, pick the berries at the side if you like. You can capture a
Wingull and a Floatzel here as well. It's important that you catch a
flying Pokemon now, because they are the only ones that can learn the
abilities "Fly" and "Defog". Keep heading right until you get to the
beach. There, go down and smash the rocks to find the TM40. There are
plenty of trainers to battle too.

After beating Kenneth, go right along the shore. You may also capture a
Remoraid Pokemon in the water if you like. Bother the Grunt goon and he'll
run off again. Go up the steps after defeating Jared for a RED SHARD.
Proceed north out to the other side of the hotel to reach the Lakefront.

Enter the house to your left and talk to the clown to get the TM92. Proceed
north, west then south for a PP UP. Turn back and go all the way north to
find a PARLYZ HEAL. Go inside the nearby restaurant for some double battles
if you want. Thosr trainers give lots of credits, so I recommend that you
challenge them.

There is actually just one direction you have to go in Route 214 and that is
forward. The upper stone path leads to a cave. You'll find the TM28 DIG in
there. Head west at the beginning of Route 214 to find a MAX POTION in the
tall grass. You can also grab a BIG ROOT by heading north from the sign
post. Go all the way up along the grassland portion, then go down for an
X SP DEF.

You're pretty much done here, so have a Pokemon learn the Fly ability, and
head over to Solaceon Town. Use the Secret Potion on the group of Psyducks
up north and they will move away. Cynthia will give you the OLD CHARM, to be
delivered to her grandma in Celestic Town.

Before continuing to Route 210, make sure one of your Flying Pokemon has
learned Defog. You'll need that ability later. Continue further onwards and
grab the NEST BALL at the northeast corner. The area will be foggy from here
on, so use Defog to clear it up.

Make your way north, grab the RED SHARD, then head west up the steps at the
end. After defeating Ernest, head left and pedal across the narrow plank.
Defeat Davido and pedal down the next plank. Smash the rocks, Grab TM30
SHADOW BALL. Make your way back to the split path and take the south path
this time. Grab the SMOKE BALL after beating Nathan.

Keep heading west until you get to another fork. After dealing with Brian,
you can go up and pick some berries if you're interested. Otherwise, go
left to reach Celestic Town.

Rest at the Pokemon Center if necessary then go back outside, go down the
steps next to the Pokemon Center to the lower portion. Talk to the Galactic
Grunt there and mess with him. After the battle, Cynthia's granny will come
to meet you. Now, go east up the steps to find a DRAGON FANG, then use the
Dowsing to locate a KING'S ROCK on the ledge opposite of the fang item.

Go inside the cave and examine the pattern on the wall. Cynthia's granny
will come to explain what it was, and Cyrus appears to pick a fight.

The town elder will now hand over the HM03 Surf. Now, head out and have
a chat with Cynthia before heading to the Pokemon Center to rest. After
that, take the west exit to Route 211.

You can collect the berries here if you like then grab the CARBOS on the
tall grass. Make your way to the top of the mountain and talk to the guy
there to get the TM77.

Also some areas have been made accessible, now that you have the
Surf ability.

< Twinleaf Town >

Surf on the small pond in front of your house to find an ODD KEYSTONE
Locate the item using the Dowsing Machine.

< Oreburgh Gate B1F >

Pick up the TM31 first then surf on the water located south of the
area. Head west. Defeat the Trainer. You need HM04 to move the
boulder here, which you don't have yet so come back later.

< Route 204 >

Surf on the larger pond and go east to find an HP UP.

< Ravaged Path >

Head west from the entrance, smash the rocks and surf on the water.
Follow the water to the end. Grab TM03 (Water Pulse). Go back into
the water and head for the north bank. Break the rocks along the
way for a LUCK INCENSE at the end.

< Valley Windworks >

Surf on the pond and head north for TM24 (Thunderbolt).

< Route 214 >

Access this area via the south exit in Veilstone City. Surf on the
pond and check the northeast portion for a RARE CANDY.

< Pastoria City >

Surf on the water to the right of the Poke Mart. Go east then north
for a MYSTIC WATER.

< Floaroma Meadows >

You can reach this area by surfing south from the Fuego Ironworks.
Start by going down for a LEAF STONE, then go northwest to find a
MIRACLE SEED. The central west portion holds an ULTRA BALL, and a
RARE CANDY can be found at the southeast area. Use the Dowsing
Machine to locate the MAX REVIVE at the center of the meadow. A PP
UP is also being kept right above the Max Revive; locate it with
the Dowsing Machine.

with help from your Dowsing Machine. Exit the trench and return to the lower
level. Continue west then north up another ladder. Defeat Ace Trainers

After that take the steps behind them down to the lower area. Proceed east

Navigate around the area to reach an HP UP. Backtrack to where the Worker
Trainers are, and climb the ladder to the left of one of them. Continue

Off to Mt. Coronet now. I'm covering the area from the eastern entrance. So
Fly to Celestic Town and proceed to Route 211. Enter Mt. Coronet from there.
Go down for an ESCAPE ROPE. Turn back a bit and head west. Smash the rocks
to find a RARE CANDY at the end. Backtrack to the entrance and go up. Use
the Strength ability to push the boulder out of the way. Continue northwest
down to the lower level. Don't forget to check the top-left sector of this
floor to find the TM69.

At the Basement, grab the STARDUST and use DEFOG to clear up the area. Next,
head north and down the second set of steps. Push the boulder to open up a
path leading to a SOFT SAND. Surf on the water and check the northeast
corner for a MAX ELIXIR. Turn back west, then climb the stairs to your
right. Push the boulder out of the way for a REVIVE.

left for a FULL HEAL. Battle other trainers while heading west along
the bottom path. Grab a REVIVE here too. There's a cabin that you can rest in
further west of the area. Once you get there, proceed upwards to Route 217.

The weather in this area makes things a bit harder to see. Just keep heading
north, while battling other trainers. There is an IRON and TM07 HAIL not too
far north from where Madison is. Go inside the house along the right side of
the path. Talk to the lady there to get the SPELL TAG. Continue onwards
along the left side this time. Grab the HM08 ROCK CLIMB outside the house,
then go in and talk to the man to get the ICICLE PLATE. Continue further up
until you reach Acuity Lakefront.

You won't be able to access the lake yet. But do check the northeast corner
of the area to find an ULTRA BALL. Make your way east to Snowpoint City.

Snowpoint City
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Items: Ultra Ball, Rare Candy, Everstone.

Head south first to find an ULTRA BALL then check out the house at the
northwest part of town. There is a girl there who wants to trade her
Haunter for a Medicham. There's a RARE CANDY buried in the snow, at the area
surrounded by trees to the right of the gym. Use your Dowsing Machine to
find it. Go inside the gym afterwards.

The puzzle for this gym is difficult to explain. Basically, you have to use
the momentum you gained from sliding on the ice, to smash the snow balls
blocking your path to the gym leader.

The Beacon Badge

Fly to Veilstone City and proceed to the Galactic Veilstone Building. Speak
to the Grunt by the entrance. Pick up the STORAGE KEY after the guy leaves.
Now, head over to the Galactic Warehouse behind the department store. There
is also a rocky wall that you can climb up on for a FULL INCENSE.

Go inside the warehouse and use the Storage Key on the door. Grab the DUSK
STONE. Continue east then north for a ZINC. Defeat another Galactic Grunt
and proceed onwards two floors. Beat the Grunt, take the left portal to
another area. Proceed upstairs. Step on the portal, go down three floors.
Grab the TM36 SLUDGE BOMB and the GALACTIC KEY.

Go back to where you fought the Grunt with the Wumple Pokemon, and go up.
Use the Galactic Key on the right door. Snag the TM21 FRUSTRATION. Return
to the room with 2 portals side-by-side. Step on the right portal. Take
the TM49 SNATCH in the next room. Exit the warehouse and into the Galactic
Building.

The Warehouse is actually part of the Galactic Building. Anyway, unlock the
door and continue up to the next floor. Defeat the two Grunts. Go southeast
into the room. Defeat Darius then step on the portal. In the next room, go
upstairs. Beat 2 more Galactic Grunts in a double battle. Step on the left
portal.

Grab the ELIXIR here. Turn back and this time take the bottom-left portal.

Pokemon later.

Mt. Coronet & Spear Pillar

Items: Max Potion x2, Escape Rope, Revive, Max Revive, Tiny Mushroom x3, PP

Rock Climb on the wall at the northeast corner to the next floor. Here, go
northwest up the steps to find a MAX POTION. Turn back, then head south for
an ESCAPE ROPE. Go back, proceed up the steps. At the fork, continue north
then west across the bridge. Go down the stairs and up the next one to
get a REVIVE. From there, turn right up the stairs. Cross the bridge and
head down 2 sets of stairs. Now go left under the bridge into the next
area.

Follow the path up to the next screen. In this area, take the right steps
down. Check the solitary stone at the bottom to find a MAX REVIVE.
Return to the previous area and head north. Defeat both Galactic Grunts.
Follow the path to the exit leading to the mountain peak.

This part of the mountain is covered with snow. So all battles that occur
outside the caves will have hail weather. Anyway, start off by going right
then up. Rock Climb on the wall there. At the top, head left, down, then
left again. Examine the stone for a MAX POTION. Make your way back to the
rocky wall and proceed right into the cave.

Go up the steps then examine the stone to get an ULTRA BALL. Head back down,
continue west, smash the rock and check the back wall for a TINY MUSHROOM.
Examine one of the 2 stones near the cave entrance for a PP UP. Go back
outside. Make your way to the cave at the northwest portion of the mountain
and go in. Rock Climb to the top. Battle 2 Galactic Grunts.

Move on to the east exit. Outside, examine the stone on the tall grass for a
RARE CANDY. Rock Climb on the wall to the left. At the top, head west and
examone the stone to get a TINY MUSHROOM. There's a rock with a BIG MUSHROOM
on the right-most corner at the bottom of several stairs. Turn back and
go into another cave.

Check the second rock for a TINY MUSHROOM. Follow the path up several stairs
and battle another Galactic Grunt. Grab the STARDUST. Continue west to next
area. Battle 2 more Galactic Grunts. Continue north towards the exit leading
to the Spear Pillar.

Pokemon Platinum Gude  - The Beacon Badge

Distortion World - Catching Giratina

Go after Cynthia when the brief scene ends. At the center is an elevator
which will take you down to a new floor. Mesprit will appear here so move
after it. You will soon get to see your character defy physics. Try to
get a hang of things first before continuing further.

Once you're ready, go along the path and hop on platforms towards the
elevator and step on the central depression to go down. There, hop onto the
square, then onto the upper one to go forward, then pick the left one on
the next platform. Press left again to join Cynthia on her spot

Talk to her to continue. Head to the opposite side, leap to the side then
move the elevator east. The next platform should also go east, then the next
one should go down. For the next platform, move it left, hop onto the north
spot then step on the upper one to head further down.

Next, head east on this platform towards an elevator. Again, stand on the
middle to descend. Stand on the lower depression to reveal the next set of
platforms. Go along the path until you meet Cyrus. After he leaves, continue
downward to an intersection. Go east then north. Now, step on the northeast
depression onto a new platform. Here, go straight ahead a bit then go south
and into the depression to reveal a set of platforms.

Go on to the opposite side, onto the T-shaped platform. Hop onto a new
elevator going down. There, navigate along the floating platforms until you
reach solid ground. Head south and try to leap off, so that Uxie shows up.

Leap off the ledge, and use Strength to push the boulder into the hole. Hop
to the bottom and take one more elevator down. Hop off from the west side
onto the main platform, and make your way to the boulder up ahead. Push that
boulder into the hole next to where Uxie is. Doing this wrong will result in
a do-over so be careful. After that, go to the far west end, following the
narrow path 90 degrees to Cynthia's location. Take the elevator back up.

Now, head left atound to the boulder and move it to plug the hole, after
Mesprit appears. Go around to the next elevator, going up afterwards. Hop
off west once again and follow the path all the way up to the next elevator.

Jump off west and head south to reveal a platform, allowing you to get to
the other side. Go right to see another one and cross it. Hop off the
T-shaped platform to activate another elevator going down. Surf on the water
towards land, and keep going until you spot a sideways platform. Get on it
to the next platform and use that one to reach another foothold on the
ceiling. Move around towards the water and surf to a sideways waterfall.
Drop along the falls until you reach the bottom. Surf northwest towards land.

Azelf appears this time. Push the boulder into the hole. Now, go around the
platform and leap off at the end to reach the elevator. Hop over to the first
ledge to activate this lift. Once the lift stops, go west and move the
boulder to Mesprit's desired hole. After that, go right and push the next
boulder into Azelf's desired hole. Now, go find Cynthia and talk to her.

Save your game and take the new elevator down. Follow Cynthia off the lift
and talk to Cyrus to fight him.

forward and jump onto the platforms. Save your game when you reach the
third one. Giratina will attack you.

 ----------------------------------------------------------------
| Legendary Pokemon Giratina                                     |
----------------------------------------------------------------
| Giratina is weak to Ghost, Dark, and Ice-type attacks. Even    |
| though the 3 elements are its weaknesses, none of them deal a  |

| your best available Pokemon. Also, Giratina's Shadow Force     |

Once Giratina is caught, leave this area through the portal that appears.
You will then emerge at the entrance of the Turnback Cave, where Giratina
used to live in Diamond/Pearl. You can now try to capture the legendary
Pokemon in Lakes Valor, Verity and Acuity.

Pokemon Platinum Gude  - The Beacon Badge

Lake Valor, Lake Acuity Lake Verity

Catching Azelf, Uxie and Mesperit

< Lake Valor >

The lake will be back to normal now. So surf southeast across the lake to
find TM25 THUNDER. Proceed into the cave at the center of the lake. Save
your game before fighting it.

 ----------------------------------------------------------------
| Legendary Pokemon Azelf                                        |
----------------------------------------------------------------
| Be cautious about using special attacks on Azelf. It has low   |
| special defense so it is possible to accidentally beat it with |
| just one hit. When Azelf's HP is down to orange, bring in a    |
| weaker Pokemon and start chipping your target's HP down to     |
| red. Throw Ultra or Dusk Balls to capture it afterwards. Azelf |
| is difficult to catch, so be sure to have lots of Ultra or     |
| Dusk Balls in your inventory.                                  |
----------------------------------------------------------------

< Lake Acuity >

If you obtained the TM14 BLIZZARD earlier, then you can surf directly to the
cave at the center of the lake. If not, then surf northeast to get it. Once
again, save your game before fighting.

 ----------------------------------------------------------------
| Legendary Pokemon Uxie                                         |
----------------------------------------------------------------
| Bring in a Dragon-type Pokemon to bare the brunt of Uxie's     |
| attacks. Reduce your target's HP down to red, and start        |
| throwing Ultra and Dusk Balls. All Uxie does most of the time  |
| is use Amnesia, which boosts its special defense. Again,       |
| capturing this Pokemon can take a while.                       |
----------------------------------------------------------------

< Lake Verity >

Surf towards the cave at the center of the lake. "Talk" to Mesprit and it
will run away. From this point on, the chase begins. You can pinpoint the
Pokemon's location using the Marking Map Poketech application. The only way
you can actually encounter it is to go back and forth between a town/city
and a Route. And hope that Mesprit ends up in your location.

 ----------------------------------------------------------------
| Legendary Pokemon Mesprit                                      |
----------------------------------------------------------------
| This Pokemon is really difficult to capture. When you engage   |
| it, Mesprit will run away on its very first turn. Make sure    |
| that your lead Pokemon's Speed stat is over 100. So that you   |
| get to move first as soon as the battle starts. Use the Master |
| Ball to capture Mesprit right away.                            |
|                                                                |
| Alternatively, you can also gradually damage Mesprit until it  |
| becomes weak enough to be caught without having to use the     |
| Master Ball. All damage and status ailments inflict on it will |
| be carried over to your next encounter with Mesprit even if    |
| the Pokemon flees.                                             |

Grab the THUNDERSTONE. Rock Climb on the wall to the right. Go southeast
along the solar panel path to reach the Vista Lighthouse. Go inside.

proceed to the Pokemon Gym. Take the solar panels to the northwest part of
the city to get there. Go in.

The puzzle in this gym involves stepping on the switches to rotate the
bridges, so that you can cross over to where you want to go. The first few
rooms should be pretty easy. Getting to the Gym Leader in the last room is
a bit tricky though.

Start off bu stepping on the red switch once, then cross over to the left
and step on the other red switch once as well. Now head north across the
bridge to the left. Navigate all the way to the green switch and press it
twice. Continue south and follow the path to the blue switch. Press it once.

At Route 223, There is only one direction you need to go to reach your
destination, and that is north. But there are plenty of trainers waiting to
do battle all over the water though. Head west through the rocks near the
starting point (you'll have to look for an opening to get in). Keep going
left then up to find a TM18 (Rain Dance). Return to the main area and
continue heading up.

You cam pick up a PEARL near Trainer Zachariah's position. When you see the
waterfall, use the Waterfall ability to reach the top. Rest at the Pokemon
Center, save your game and proceed into the cave.

Head north across the bridge and Rock Climb down, From here, go left and
defeat the Psychic Trainer. Proceed north afterwards to get TM41 TORMENT.
Backtrack to the rocky wall and climb back up. Continue east across the
bridge then down the steps to battle another Trainer. After beating Hana,
go north for a FULL HEAL.

Go back and take the bridge going up. Rock climb down the wall, proceed
west and up the steps at the end. Defeat Mariah and climb up to 2F. There,
head down. Use Strength to push the boulders out of the way and head west.
After beating Omar, examine the rock north of his position for a MAX ELIXIR.

Make your way back to the starting point of this floor and head west. Check
the left wall once you reach the dead end for a FULL RESTORE. Run back to
where Omar is. There, manage the rocks and boulders to open a path going
down. Battle with Sydney. Continue right for a bit, then north. Battle
Clayton. Follow the path back to 1F.

Go right and Rock Climb down the wall. Continue north then east. Defeat
Miles and proceed onwards to B1F. Surf on the water and get off the narrow
strip of land going right, to find another Trainer. Surf northeast after
beating Valencia to find Henry. Defeat him as well and surf south. You'll
find two more Trainers (Jo & Pat), beat them.

From here, surf south to dry land. Go west then up the steps back to 1F.
Grab the RARE CANDY. Return to B1F. Go all the way back north until you
reach the waterfall. Scale it to the top and continue west. Defeat Ondrej,
then go down the waterfall to get the TM59 DARK PULSE. Climb back up the
falls. Go west then down. Proceed up the steps to 1F.

After beating Edgar, go west then south for a RAZOR CLAW. Return to Edgar
and head south this time. Rock Climb up the left wall. At the top, go left
across the bridge, then north up the steps to 2F. Push the boulders to open
a path leading to the TM79 DARK PULSE. Go back to Edgar again, and go up the
steps next to him. Take the bridge right, then go around the corner to grab
a ZINC.

Again, make your way back to Edgar... for the last time. Go south, Rock

central passage. Nolan will come in and challenge you to another battle.
You'll receive $5300 for winning.

After he leaves, make sure you're really prepared before going into the
entrance ahead. Because there's no turning back once you get inside! You'll
be battling against all 4 members of the Elite Four, and the Pokemon

start the battle.

--------------------- ----------------------------- ----------
| Most of Aaron's Pokemon, except Drapion are bug-type. And    |
| those Pokemon have one common weakness: Fire. Bring in a     |
| Pokemon with high Special Attack stat and have it use fire-  |
| type attacks. That should be able to knock your target out   |
| with just one hit.                                           |
|                                                              |
| Use Ground-type moves against Drapion. Earthquake should get |

|                     | Magmortar (Lv. 57)          |   $6840  |
--------------------- ----------------------------- ----------
| This is where the battle gets tough. Flint's Rapidash is     |
| strong, but Infernape is the one that you should really      |
| worry about. Avoid using Grass or Ice-type Pokemon as much   |
| as possible while battling those 2. Rapidash, Infernape and  |
| Steelix are weak against water. So if you have any powerful  |
| water spells at your disposal, then by all means use them.   |
| Rock-type attacks also deal decent damage to Flint's Fire    |
| Pokemons.                                                    |
|                                                              |
| Use Fighting-type moves on the Lopunny, Water attacks on the |

|                     | Gallade   (Lv. 59)          |   $7080  |
--------------------- ----------------------------- ----------
| Dark-type moves work very well on Mr. Mime and Alakazam. The |
| Medicham will be your primary concern here. It throws        |
| punches that cover plenty of weaknesses. Your best bet is to |
| use Flying and/or Ghost moves on it and hope that you knock  |
| it out in one hit, so that Lucian won't get a chance to use  |
| Full Restore on it. Bronzong is weak to Fire and Girafarig   |
| is weak to Dark.                                             |
--------------------------------------------------------------

| Boss                     | Pokemon                     | Rewards   |

|                          | Spiritbomb (Lv. 58)         |   --      |
|                          | Togekiss   (Lv. 60)         |   --      |

|                          | Roserade   (Lv. 58)         |   --      |
|                          | Garchomp   (Lv. 62)         |   $12400  |
-------------------------- ----------------------------- -----------
| This is it, the final boss! And surprisingly, she's a lot easier   |
| to beat compared to Lucian. Her Spiritbomb has no weakness, so     |
| just chip away at its HP with any move, except Normal or Fighting  |
| ones. Chances are, Cynthia will call it back once its low on       |
| health.                                                            |
|                                                                    |
| The Garchomp is weak against Dragon attacks. Use Fire or Ground    |
| attacks on Lucario. Electric spells is yout best choice against    |
| Milotic. As for Roserade, use fire spells. You can beat all of     |
| Cynthia's Pokemon with one hit, provided that the move you are     |
| using is the target's weakness; and that the user has a high       |
| special attack stat.                                               |

cabin. Go up the stairs to the right. Get on your bike. Pedal left then
down along the plank. Grab the ZINC near Mikayla. Backtrack and climb down
the wall. Grab the CHARCOAL at the east side. Climb back up, head north,
east, then south. After beating Griffin, continue up to Stark Mountain.

[ Stark Mountain : Outside Cave ]

Go north to find an an ETHER on the tall grass. Turn back and Rock Climb up
the wall to the left of the stairs. Defeat Darien and Rock Climb down. Go
left, then up the next wall to get a LIFE ORB. Proceed into the cave.

[ Stark Mountain : Area 1 ]

Smash the rock as soon as you enter the cave. Next, push the boulder 2 tiles
to the right then all the way down to the bottom of the ladder. Grab the
ESCAPE ROPE nearby. Go back to the fork and head right afterwards. Push the
top and bottom boulders right, then push the center one up. Continue south
up the ladder to get a PP UP.

Navigate your way up the ledges. There is a BURN HEAL around the corner to
the left of one of the ledges. After obtaining the said item, turn back and
push the boulder past the first ladder, go up, then down at the next one.
Pick up the FULL RESTORE. Continue heading up to the next area.

[ Stark Mountain : Area 2 ]

Buck will be joining you here, and will fully heal your Pokemon after each
battle. His Claydol is pretty useful too. Also, note that you cannot use
Rock Climb, or your bike while Buck is with you. Now, this part of the
mountain is large and somewhat confusing, though I'll do what I can to
explain it. Your destination is to the north of the entrance to this area.
But you'll have to weave around the western portion of this place to get
there.

Start off by making your way to the northwest corner, via the lower level
to reach the TM50 OVERHEAT. You can pick up a CALCIUM in a trench at the
center of the area. After getting that item, return to Krystal and Ray's
position. From there, continue further north down the next ladder.
Follow the path all the way down to a rock, and examine it to get a REVIVE.

Go past Chelsey and Sterling at the southeast-most portion of the area, to
find an IRON BALL in a trench there. Now, navigate to the northeast section
of this place and head right. Defeat both Trainers. Check the rocks to the
left of the old man to get an IRON. Proceed up the ladder and head left
for a MAX REVIVE.

Return to the northeast section, go down a little bit then left. Climb up
the ladder. Continue northwest down the next ladder. Just follow the path
haeding west, battling 2 pairs of Trainers along the way. When you see a
ladder heading down, take it and go right along the trench. Push the
boulder out of the way and head up the ladder into the next area.

After Buck leaves, use an Escape Rope to get off the mountain. Go back to
the Survival Area. There, go into the house to the left of the Pokemon
Center. Talk to Buck. Buy plenty of Ultra Balls at the Poke Mart too. Make
your way back to the Stark Mountain afterwards.

You should be able to get the remaining treasures in Area 2, now that you
can use Rock Climb. The items include a MAX ELIXIR and a NUGGET. Head for
the cave where Buck got the stone. You should find Heatran waiting there.
Save your game first then talk to it

 ----------------------------------------------------------------
| Legendary Pokemon Heatran                                      |
----------------------------------------------------------------
| Heatran is a fire-type Pokemon, so avoid using Grass and Ice   |
| Pokemons in this battle. It is weak against Ground and Water   |
| attacks though. Heatran knows Lava Plume, which can leave      |
| Burns if it hits. Bring in a Pokemon that has high Defense and |
| Special Defense (like Dialga) and hope that your target only   |
| uses Scary Face and Iron Tail on you. Start throwing Ultra or  |
| Dusk Balls when Heatran has very little HP left.               |

Pokemon Platinum Guide - Sidequests

The Spear Pillar - Catching Dialga, Palkia

To start this quest, head to Celestic Town and talk to Cynthia's granny.
Once you've done that, go to Oreburgh City and access Mt. Coronet from
there.

Mt. Coronet
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Items: Adamant Orb, Lustrous Orb, Stone Plate, TM02 Dragon Claw, Nugget.

Surf on the water going north and Rock Climb to the upper level. Head for
the stairs leading up to the next floor. Make your way around back to the
outside. head east and Rock Climb when you can. Go into the cave to the
right. Now, surf west then ascend the waterfall. Get out of the water via
the top end and enter he next cave.

The rock here has a STONE PLATE, then grab the things that you came here
for -- the ADAMANT and LUSTROUS ORBS. Leave this cave and trace your steps
to the Spear Pillar. There is a TM02 and NUGGET to be found along the way.

Once you reach the Spear Pillar, save your game and examine the blue portal
Dialga will appear and try to eat you.

 ----------------------------------------------------------------
| Legendary Pokemon Dialga                                       |
----------------------------------------------------------------
| Dialga's Roar of Time deals serious damage on your Pokemon,    |
| and it is also halves the damage it receives from most attack  |
| types. It is weak against Ground and Fighting-type moves       |
| though. Earthquake does considerable damage to Dialga, but do  |
| not overdo it since you're supposed to capture this Pokemon,   |
| not defeat it. Once you get its HP down to red, start throwing |
| Ultra Balls or Dusk Balls (at night). It may take several      |
| attempts to successfully capture it.                           |
----------------------------------------------------------------

Once Dialga is captured, leave the room and return to the previous floor,
then come back to the room where you fought Dialga. Save and talk to
the purple portal. Palkia will try to eat you too.

 ----------------------------------------------------------------
| Legendary Pokemon Palkia                                       |
----------------------------------------------------------------
| Palkia is very similar to Dialga, except that its a water      |
| Pokemon instead of steel. It also has an attack called Special |
| Rend that can deal a good amount of damage, so use your best   |
| Pokemon and slowly chip away Palkia's HP. You will have better |
| chance of catchin Palkia with Net Balls too.                   |
----------------------------------------------------------------

Pokemon Platinum Guide - Sidequests

Snowpoint Temple - Catching Regigigas

Items: Calcium, NeverMeltIce.

 ---------------------------
| Pokemon [Inside Temple]   |
----------- ---------------
| Golbat    | Lv. 50-56     |
| Graveler  | Lv. 52-56     |
| Onix      | Lv. 52-53     |
| Sneasel   | Lv. 50-56     |
| Steelix   | Lv. 52-56     |
----------- ---------------

Head to the temple at the northmost portion of Snowpoint City after getting
the National Pokedex. Candice will then permit you to enter the temple.
Just navigate your way to the different floors, picking up a CALCIUM and
NEVERMELTICE along the way. Once you get to the room with a Pokemon statue
in it, navigate the icy floor to the center of the room. Examine the Pokemon
"statue" to battle Regigigas.

Note that in order to fight Regigigas, you need to have Regirock, Regice,
and Registeel in your party.

 ----------------------------------------------------------------
| Legendary Pokemon Regigigas                                    |
----------------------------------------------------------------
| Regigigas is a normal-type Pokemon, so take advantage of its   |
| weakness against fighting-type moves. Most of its attacks are  |
| of normal-type as well, and are pretty strong too. Superpower  |
| is a fighting-type move though. This Pokemon's attacks are     |
| powerful, but fortunately it also has the Slow Start ability   |
| which tips the scales to your favor for the first 5 turns of   |
| the battle                                                     |
|                                                                |
| Make use of the 5 turns to lower your opponent's attack and    |
| speed stats. Moves like Charm and Scary Face work well for     |
| such purpose. Once the 5-turn duration ends Regigigas will get |
| a great boost in speed and power, so hopefully you've managed  |
| to lower its stats enough beforehand.                          |

Pokemon Platinum Guide - Sidequests

Fullmoon Island - Catching Cresselia

After obtaining the National Pokedex, go to Canalave City and proceed to
Sailor Eldritch's house (it is located next to the ship that sails to Iron
Island). Talk to the mother and child in there. Leave the house, speak to
Sailor Eldritch and sail to Fullmoon Island.

Once you get there, head for the top-left entrance to find another legendary
Pokemon, Cresselia. Talk to it and it will fly away. Pick up the LUNAR WING.
Take it back to Sailor Eldritch's son in Canalave City.

As for Cresselia, you'll have to go after it, just like what you did with
Mesprit. I suggest going back and forth between a route and a town, until
the Pokemon ends up at your location. (Track its movement with the Marking
Map.) Cresselia stays in the water all the time, so you'll have to surf in
order to encounter it.

 ----------------------------------------------------------------
| Legendary Pokemon Cresselia                                    |
----------------------------------------------------------------
| Like Mesprit, Cresselia will flee on its first turn, so you'll |
| have to capture it quick. If you still have the Master Ball,   |
| you may use it here if you like. Otherwise, start the battle   |
| with a "hasty-natured" Pokemon (like Machoke) and immediately  |
| throw a Quick Ball to catch your target.                       |

Rival Battle Guide

This section of the guide has been provided by rate_me.

In the Survival Area, you are able to battle your rival on the weekends. His Pokemon are in the upper 50s and lower 60s when you battle him the first time, and the levels increase by 10 for the second time. The Pokemon will stay in the upper 60s and low 70s until you defeat the Pokemon League 20 times. After you defeat the Pokemon league 20 times, your rival's Pokemon will grow another 10 levels, putting them in the upper 70s and the low 80s. Afterwards, the Pokemon don't grow anymore levels. The reward also increases by 1,000 whenever the Pokemon on his team become stronger. The strategy for the higher level battles remains the same as the strategy for the lower leveled battles, except for the need to have higher leveled Pokemon when facing him.

 ------------------------ ----------------------------- ----------
| Starter                | Pokemon                     |Rewards  |
 ------------------------ ----------------------------- ----------
|                        | Staraptor    (Lv. 61)       |    --   |

|                        | Torterra     (Lv. 65)       |   6,500 |
 ------------------------ ----------------------------- ----------
| A lot of Pokemon on his team lack physical Defense, so a       |
| Pokemon with a high Attack stat could sweep his entire team.   |
| Garchomp, Scizor, Gallade or Dialga would be excellent choices.|

|                        | Infernape    (Lv. 65)       |   6,500 |
 ------------------------ ----------------------------- ----------
| The strategy for this team is similar to the one for the other.|
| However, this version also has a flying weakness so a Crobat   |

|                        | Empoleon     (Lv. 65)       |   6,500 |
 ------------------------ ----------------------------- ----------
| Once again, the rival's roster is similar aside from the change|
| in starter and a different combination of Roserade/Rapidash/   |
| Floatzel. Physical sweepers like Garchomp can effortlessly tear|
| through the team with Earthquake and Stone Edge, and mixed     |
| sweepers like Azelf can hit with both special and physical     |

Move Tutors Guide

This section of our guide has been provided by rate_me

Move tutors are non-playable character who can teach your Pokemon a move which they normally wouldn't learn level up or through TM/HM. In Diamond and Pearl, there were very few moves to be learned, and those moves could only be learned by small groups of Pokemon. However, the addition of more move tutors in Platinum has allowed more options for movesets that weren't possible in Diamond and Pearl. These move tutors can teach your Pokemon moves in exchange for a certain combination of 8 colored shards, which can be found underground.

Event Pokemon Guide

This section of the guide has been provided by PhilXZ

Pokemon Platinum has a wide array of special event Pokemon that are unlocked via certain items and sometimes trigger certain items and places in the game that can't be accessed without them. To attain these items you have to go to a Nintendo-hosted 'Nintendo Event' or use a code device like an Action Replay.

Mystery Gift Option: To obtain the Mystery Gift, which is necessary to obtan Nintendo Event Pokemon, talk to a TV couple . On the 3rd Floor of the Jubilife TV Station, you will find this couple. Normally s/he will ask you for a greeting for you to provide in battles however if you give him some keywords, he will activate the Mystery Gift function for you. The words are as follows: EVERYONE HAPPY WI-FI CONNECTION

*For all these events you will need the National Pokedex, a Pokedex upgrade given to you by Prof. Oak once you have seen all Sinnoh Pokemon and recorded them in your Sinnoh Dex.

Shaymin

How to Obtain: Once you have Oak's Letter, head to Route 224. The Route can be accessed through an entrance in the Victory Road cave. If you haven't defeated the Elite 4 and the Pokemon Champion this entrance is blocked by a man. Work your way through the trainers and wild Pokemon until you see Prof. Oak at a white rock. The professor will tell you a story and Shaymin will appear. It will notice you and run up the path it came from. Follow it up the path and you will come up to an island covered in flowers with Shaymin sitting on top of the highest mound ready to fight. If you capture it, be ready for a special treat!

Capture Bonus: Gracidea Flower

Pokemon Platinum Guide

Battle Frontier Guide

This section of the guide has been provided by PhilXZ

Reprising from Pokemon Emerald, the Battle Frontier has 5 facilities. The attraction is located in the Fight Area which you can travel to after unlocking the National Dex and beating the Pokemon League.

As it has been with previous Battle Tower and Frontiers, there are some Pokemon that will not be eligigble to fight:
Mewtwo
Mew
Lugia
Ho-oh
Celebi
Kyogre
Groudon
Rayquaza
Deoxys
Jirachi
Dialga
Palkia
Giratina (both Origin and Altered Forme)
Shaymin (both Land and Sky Forme)
Phione
Manaphy
Darkrai
Arceus

The Facilities
The 5 facilities are the Battle Factory, Tower, Castle, Arcade, and Hall. Each have their own set of rules and requirements to play. After a certain number of battles you will fight the Frontier Brain of the facility you are participating in.

The Battle Factory

Like in Emerald, in the Battle Factory you do not use your own roster. You will be given a selection of rental Pokemon to choose from.

Once you've beaten a trainer in a match you can chose to swap one Pokemon with their team for one of yours, allowing you to strengthen your chances of winning depending on the Pokemon you choose.

Battles are done in sets of 7, as you continue your streak the opposing Pokemon will become better and stronger. Knowing your type-match ups and the weaknesses of your team is important.

Frontier Brain: Thorton

First Battle:
Once you reach a streak of 21 in the Battle Factory you will face the Battle Factory Brain, Thorton. Just like you and any other trainer you've faced, his Pokemon are random. Beat him to obtain the Silver Medal and continue on.

Second Battle:
Once you reach a streak of 49 wins, you will face Thorton again with a different set of rental Pokemon. Beat him to obtain the Colored Medal.

The Battle Tower

The Battle Tower runs just like it's D&P version. The Brain also being Palmer still. You can battle at Level 50 or at the highest level of your Pokemon in your party.

In the Battle Tower, there are 4 different selections; Single or Double battles, and Wireless Mixed and Wi-Fi battles. Single is a 3 vs. 3 while Double allows 4 vs. 4.

On the Wi-Fi segment, you can download other player's teams to battle against or upload your own.

Only Single and Double allow you to face Plamer, the Battle Tower Brain. COmplete your sets of 7 again.

Frontier Brain: Palmer

First Battle:
Once reaching a streak of 21, you will face Palmer for the first time. Unlike Thorton, Palmer as a definite roster of a Dragonite, Milotic, and Rhyperior. The levels matching those of your own Pokemon. Beat him to obtain the Silver Medal and continue on.

Second Battle:
Once you reach a streak 0f 49 wins you will face Palmer again, but this time with a completely different roster. Heatran, Regigigas, and Cresselia are replacing his previous 3. Beat Palmer again to obtain the Colored Medal.

Battle Hall

Battle Hall has a different set-up than most of the facilities. Here you fight in sets of 10 and there are three modes. Single Mode in which you fight with only one Pokemon, Double where you use two, and Wireless Mixed.

Once you have chosen you're Pokémon, you go into the Stage and you'll see a selection screen for all the Pokémon you can fight. The type of the Pokémon and their difficulty rank out of 10 is shown.

Because you only know the type of the Pokémon, you will sometimes be given a curve.

For example, if you choose say a flying type to use your electric type against, you could fight against a Gligar who is immune to electric attacks.

You also cannot switch your Pokémon mid-campaign, if you do, it resets the campaign back to Rank 1.

The levels are done in relation to your Pokémon's level and are calculated by Rank accordingly so that you start off with an advantage that slowly goes away.

Frontier Brain: Argenta

First Battle:
Once reaching a streak of 50 wins, Argenta will fight you. She will have a random Pokemon of any type. Beat her to obtain your Battle Hall Silver Medal.

Second Battle:
To face Argenta again for a chance to win your Colored Medal, you will have to beat Rank 10 on ever type. Again she will have a random Pokemon in her party.

Battle Castle

Battle Castle goes back to the usual Single 3 on 3, Double 4 on 4, and Wireless Mixed selections.

Once you have made your team selectios you will be greeted by a Butler, whenever you win a battle in the Battle Castle you will be given Castle Points. These points can be used only within this facility to earn perks like healing your HP, PP, or get a Battle Item as you can't heal your Pokemon with your own items.

The better the item, the higher the CP point cost. Sets are in matches of 7.

Sale:
You can buy certain Berries ranging from 2-5 CP. Your selection increases as your Rank progresses.
You can increase your Rank for 100 CP
Items are available for 5-20 CP
You can view parts of your opponents Pokemon such as Nature, Species, Held Item, HP, and Ability for 1-2 CP
You can decrease the level of your opponents pokemon by 5 for 15 CP or increase it by 5 for 1 CP.
You can view opponent attacks for 5 CP
Rank your opponent up for 50 CP

The higher your opponents rank, the higher the CP payout at the end.

Battle Arcade

Here your Pokemon are temporarily reduced to level 50 during participation. Single Mode and Double Mode are still 3 on 3 and 4 on 4.

Wireless Mixed is also under the selection. Once you picked your team you will go on stage and be introduced to your opponent.

Before you enter the battle, you enter a radnom Draw in which you press a button on your Touch Screen to stop the counter from moving. It will land on a certain battle effect that will either help you or possibly harm you.

Wi-Fi Plaza Guide

This section of the guide has been provided by PhilXZ

The Wi-Fi Plaza is the latest Wi-Fi installment in the Pokemon world. Found on the bottom floor of every Pokemon Center,
it allows you to meet up to 20 people in one plaza place.

Design

The Wi-Fi Plaza has 3 different designs that you randomly stumble on. There's the Fire Starter design, the water Starter Design, and the rare Mew Design. The Fire Starter design is red with statues modeled after the starters with a Charizard Float that you can use to exit the Plaza when your time is up. The Water design is the same as fire but with a Piplup Float and blue colors. The Mew Design is light pink and has all Mew statues with a Mew float. When you get in to the Wi-Fi Plaza, you are given your own pseudo Wi-Fi Trainer Card. This shows your ID, your name, your greeting (if you have one set), as well as your current Touch Toy and the last 12 things you have done within the Wi-Fi Plaza. You have the ability of checking other people's cards by just walking up to their character. You can only stay on the Wi-Fi Plaza once a day. In it you will have a time limit. Various effects will indicate if you are getting closer to leave. You can also check how much time you have left by checking the Time Board. Indicators include dim lights, fireworks, and lastly the arrival of the floats.

Touch Toys

In the Wi-Fi Plaza, you have access to various Touch Toys. You can swap them with different players if you want a different one.  By pressing the button on your Touch Screen you set off the effect of your toy. The toys can be upgraded by winning mini-games.
Once winning one, your toy will get a star as a symbol of its level. The max is 3 and the higher the level the stronger the effect.

Games

The wi-Fi Plaza has 3 different games you can play with the players that are in the Plaza with you.  Each game requires up 4 players to play and, if won, you will be rewarded with a level-up for your touch toy.

-Mime Jr. Top-
The Mime Jr. Top game makes you use the stylus to try and keep your Mime Jr. on the ball.  The longer you stay on the ball, the more points you get. If you survive long enough until all of your opponents to fall off, then you win the game.

-Wobbuffet Pop-
In Wobbuffet Pop you are pitted against three other players. The goal of the game is to make the most balloons by pumping them up quickly by pressing the stylus on the the button on your Tpuch Screen repetitively. However, there are elements on the top screen that will affect your balloon so you have to be careful about how fast you pump.

-Swalot Plop-
The Swalot Plop Mini-Game has you using the stylus to flick berries up to the rotating Swalot's mouth. The goal is to get the berries into the mouth of Swalot before it closes. The speed and accuracy of your flick with the stylus determines how you far the berry goes. The player with the highest score wins.

Other Attractions

In the Wi-Fi Plaza, there are two long boards that several people can use. On these boards, you can select one of six footprints. Once you have selected your print you can touch the canvas and start placing the footprints. The other people will also be doing this.
The footprints will quickly go and walk off the board after you have given them partner prints.

There is also a globe similar to the one in GTS. Here you can check out the locations of different players that are in the Plaza with you.
