400 Days of hell. The Walking Dead: 400 Days focuses on five brand new
characters as they deal with the first 400 days of the outbreak.

The controls in the game differ based on the contextual situations that arise
throughout. For the most part, you will be clicking on things with A and aiming
the cursor around the screen using the right analog stick.

Dialogue options are assigned to the four face buttons.

The left analog stick will also be used at certain points throughout the game.
You are able to pick up your pace when walking when playing as Shel by holding
in LT as you move.

YOU MUST HAVE THE FIRST EPISODE OF THE WALKING DEAD IN ORDER TO PLAY THIS GAME.

You can choose between any of the following five characters and complete the
first part of their story in any order:

Vince
Wyatt
Russell
Shel
Bonnie

For the sake of simplicity, I will cover them in the order they appear on the
bulletin board. So that would make Vince first, then Wyatt, and so on and so
forth. If you already started one character and would like more information on
their section, then just scroll down to them.

VINCE
——————-

Vince’s story begins on a prison bus. You will have options to speak to either
Justin, the guy sitting behind you, or Danny, the guy sitting in front of you.
You can also check out the other prisoners that are sitting near the front of
the bus.

Choose whichever conversation options that you want. The action doesn’t start
until after one of the guards blows off the head of one of the prisoners up
front. One thing leads to another, and eventually that guard will get bitten as
well.

You guys need to get a weapon to get out of here, so press Y to pick that
conversation option. The three of you will bend down, so mash on the A button
to flip the guard over. Grab his shotgun and then use it to kill the zombie
that is clawing at the three of you.

Exhaust your options with the shotgun. Fire at the chains, fire at the window,
and fire at the zombies at the front of the bus behind the gate. It will
eventually be decided that someone has to lose a foot. Here comes one of the
first tough decisions in the game. You have to choose between shooting off
Danny’s foot or shooting off Justin’s foot. Ouch.

WYATT
——————-

Meet Wyatt, the greasy hippie guy. The first thing you do with Wyatt is a
little action sequence where you have to shoot at the guys in the truck that
are trying to run you off the road. Fire at them with the pistol by aiming
the shaking cursor over their vehicle and firing by either pressying Y or
pulling on RT.

When that little ordeal is over, you get a chance to get to know more about
Wyatt and the driver of the car, Eddie. Go through the conversation options
and make Wyatt your own personal Wyatt. Unfortunately for these guys, they
can’t find their weed, and then they run over a fella. Ouch.

You might as well just volunteer to go check on the body, but if you don’t,
you are entered into a game of rock, paper, scissors with Eddie. If you win
the game of rock, paper, scissors, then you will hang out in the car. Eddie
will eventually throw you the keys, so get them out from under the passenger
seat, first turning on the light in the car.

Then Nate will run up and attack you. Button mash and get the car shut. Start
the key to leave Eddie. If you lose at rock, paper, scissors, then you are the
one that has to go outside and look around. Uh-oh.

Move forward through the fog. Examine the items on the ground along the way.
Wyatt moves very slow, but there’s nothing you can do about it now. Approach
the body and then pick him up and start dragging him back to the car. A zombie
will show up, so shoot it. Then more zombies will arrive and you have to choose
between leaving the injured cop here or trying to save him.

Whatever your choice, try to fight your way back to the car. The guys from the
truck shows up and Eddie will abandon Wyatt.

RUSSELL
——————-

Russell, my man! Walking on the highway and such. As you walk along the
highway as Russell, you’ll notice a familiar truck in the background. Uh-oh. If
you choose to dive into the bushses, you can net yourself a nice little
achievement as well as a surprise!

Speak with Nate. You might as well choose to get into his car, because if
you don’t right off the bat, you’ll just be forced to get inside of it right
after. Nate is a creepy fella, but he is what he is I guess. Enjoy the little
ride with him because things get much more hectic upon arriving at the diner.

At the diner, someone is shooting at you guys through the window. Sprint to
the truck by tilting the left analog stick forward when Nate tells you to do
so. Then you can choose to make a run for it first or cover Nate. It doesn’t
really matter which one you choose. Whenever you have the gun, just fire it at
the window where the gunman is located.

Follow Nate around the back of the diner. Tilt the left analog stick slowly as
you move through the diner or else you’ll get caught. Once you reach the
shooters, your big choice comes in the form of either disagreeing with Nate and
leaving or killing those poor innocent elderly folks with him.

SHEL
——————-

Aww, Shel no. Okay, now that I got that necessary pun out of the way, it is
time to discuss Shel. You are able to explore the diner and speak with the
survivors and check on supplies if you wish, but your first objective as Shel
is to head to the back. Go through the kitchen to get there.

Does the walker look familiar? Eek. After a little chat with Roman, walk across
the lot to the other walker that is hanging out by the dumpster, chewing on
something or other. Take a gander to see that it is a poor little puppy dog,
and then return to the kitchen.

In case you couldn’t tell, there’s something wrong with Becca. She’s got a
Bad Seed vibe going on, doesn’t she? At any rate, go deal with the problem of
an intruder. As you go through the conversation, one of two big ultimate
decisions for Shel comes up. Do you let the guy go or kill him? It’s up to
you.

The game will then zoom ahead to a time quite a bit later. Shel will be asked
by Roman to do something very difficult, and right in the middle of an
interactive game of Go Fish!, too. The second big decision will come up
shortly after speaking with Roman by the trailer and then returning to the
camper.

Becca’s psychotic tendencies are becoming more and more disturbing for sure.
You can choose to kill by picking the gun option or choose to leave by picking
the keys. Make your choice.

BONNIE
——————-

Flirt as much or as little as you want. Bonnie’s little date will be
interrupted, and then Leland and Dee will get into a little shouting match.
Despite Bonnie’s best efforts, she won’t be able to get them to shut up. What
will actually get them to stop is the people with flashlights bobbing their way
through the trees.

Flee from them. Bonnie will get shot in the arm. Keep running. Then she will
fall down a hill. Next thing you know, you’ll be moving through the cornfield.
Every time there is a person in the distance with a flashlight pointed at you,
tilt the left analog stick to the left or right to avoid being seen. Keep
doing this until you get out of the corn.

After Bonnie decides to grab a weapon, aim the cursor at the bar sticking out
of the ground. Hold A to grab the bar and then move the left analog stick back
and forth from left to right quickly to pull it out of the ground. Then aim
the cursor behind the tractor at the person walking to you and pull the
trigger or press A to take them out.

TAVIA
——————-

Tavia’s chapter is sort of an epilogue. Speak with all the survivors at the
camp and try to convince as many as possible to go with you to whatever little
makeshift city Tavia is from.

03. Achievements
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
There are only two achievements in the game that can be missed, whereas all
the other ones are automatically achieved regardless of your choices made
throughout the story.

Reunited – Found an old friend
______________________________
I explained how to get this achievement in the actual guide up there, but I
will reiterate just for the sake of reiteration. To get this achievement, you
have to be doing Russell’s chapter. Then when Nate is coming down the highway
in his jeep, choose to hide in the bushes rather than standing your ground.
The achievement will then unlock.

Two Out of Three – Won a game of Rock/Paper/Scissors
____________________________________________________
To get this achievement, first start Wyatt’s chapter. When you and Eddie are
in the car and arguing about who has to go investigate the person and/or zombie
that Eddie just hit, you will be prompted to do a quick game of Rock, Paper,
Scissors. In my experience, Eddie almost always starts the game with “rock”.
After that, he usually does the opposite of what you do. So, let’s say he
does rock first. So then you do paper. Eddie’s next move is usually scissors.
This theory doesn’t apply 100% of the time, but I’ve never lost yet using this
strategy.
