On top of all the crime you deal with as Aiden Pearce, there is also an undercurrent illegal weapons trade in Ubisoft’s Chicago. The weapons are found in crates hidden away in garages across the map. To access the crates you’ll need your Hacking Abilities, but you’re often rewarded with an Audio Log in addition to the contents of the weapons crate. You may start collecting the crates at any stage, but to do it swiftly and make the most of the contents, you ought to do it soon. With our walkthrough you can do just that, happy hunting!
Parker Square
Weapon Crate 1 - Southeast Corner Garage
Near the narrow park southeast of Parker Square, you’ll find a garage on the corner of a road. Approach the building from the east side, heading towards the doors und unlock them via security cameras. Find the data flow going across the road to a switch console north of the building, which is on a low-roofed yellow building. You can get inside the garage by opening either the door or the garage door. Scan the crate, collect your Audio Log and move on to the next one.
The Wards
Weapon Crate 2 – Northern Cu-de-Sac Garage
For this weapons trade crate you’ll need to go to the garage by the L-train tracks and rail bridge connecting The Wards to Parker Square. Find Jay’s Garage and locate the blue door at the back of the building. From there you’ll be able to follow the data flow to a rooftop switch console you can see from the ground. Once again you have a choice of entry routes to the crate.
Brandon Docks
Weapon Crate 3 – Central Riverside “VessalMart” Garage
There is a Cash Run in the centre of the docks by the river, locate it and you should see it’s attached to a large brick building with a neon “VessalMart” sign nearby. Search for a blue door and follow the data flow through the alley behind the building, up some stairs and finally arrive at the switch console. Activate and return for the crate and Audio Log.
Weapon Crate 4 – Parkfield Station Garage
The next weapons crate is in a garage attached to a self-storage building just south of the Parkfield Station. If the garage isn’t clear at first, look under the L-train tracks. Once there, locate the blue door and go along the data flow behind the building. Reach the switch console near the shipping container then head back, you’ll only find a crate this time.
The Loop
Weapon Crate 5 – Western Unloading Alley Garage
“The Island” is the mass of land in the west of The Loop; make your way there and head to the garage in the centre. The data flow will take you east from here, to the end of an alley and road junction. Use the security camera to look across at the brick warehouse and the switch console. Upon opening either door, you’ll be able to secure the illegal weapon cashe and Audio Log.
Weapon Crate 6 – North Central Traffic Tunnel Garage
The difficulty in securing this weapons crate is finding the garage it’s in! The Loop has many underground traffic tunnels you’ll have to work through to locate the garage. Make your way to the northern centre of The Loop, then search for the blue near by the tunnel and follow the data flow over the road. Head west, passing some metal stairs, and you’ll see the switch console behind a stack of pallets. Return to then secure the crate and collect the Audio Log.
Weapon Crate 7 – Alleyways Southeast of Farris Halstead Library Station
Heading southeast from Farris Halstead Library station, locate the centre of the alleys, where you’ll find a data flow. It’ll lead you across the underside of a bridge then disappears around a tall building on the opposing side of the alleyway. Flick through the security cameras until you come to one with a view of the switch console. Activate it then make your way back for the Audio Log and weapons crate.
Mad Mile
Weapon Crate 8 – L-Train Tracks, Southwest Island Garage
There is an island in the southwestern corner of Mad Mile and you’ll need to go to the bridge in the northeastern corner of that island. Once there, climb onto the garage roof by driving a truck close to the building and scaling it. Look for the sloping brick area, climb it then drop behind the barbed-wire fence to discover the switch console securing the weapons crate in the garage below.
Weapon Crate 9 – Northeast Coffee Shop Parking Lot Garage
In the northern area of Mad Mile you’ll discover a coffee shop, where you can access a security camera on the grey office west of the garage. Use the camera to activate the switch console on the roof ducts, and then enter the garage as you please to secure the illegal weapons crate.
