!NOTE!
This guide was written using the Xbox 360 version of the game. Because of
that, there is some language and specifics that only pertain to that version of
the game. That being said, this guide should still be PLENTY useful for the
other versions of the game as well.

1. Home
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Home is the central hub for Madden NFL 25. Here you can choose from a variety
of different game modes and features.

From any time in the Home menu or any of the other menus, you have these
options at the bottom of the screen:

A/X – Select
Y/Triangle – Manual
LT – Kinect Tuner (XBOX 360 version only)
RT/R2 – News
Back/Select – Save

To Top

—>PLAY NOW<—
Selecting this option will allow you to jump right into the game. If you
start a My Ultimate Team season or another regular season, this option will be
replaced in the Home Menu with “Continue Playing”, which means that you can
jump right back into your saved season, Skills Training, or whatever was the
last game mode that you played.

To Top

—>PLAY ULTIMATE SEASONS NOW<—
This is the My Ultimate Team Mode. After starting an Ultimate Season in the
menu, this icon will change in “Home” to show off different game modes and
features so that you can find them easier.

Ultimate Team plays just like it has in other EA Sports titles. In it, you
create a team based on the trading cards of players earned. You then have a
variety of options at your disposal.

For one, you can start an Ultimate Season with your Ultimate Team. You can
complete a variety of challenges, some of which that change Weekly, in order to
earn various rewards for your Ultimate Team.

In the Store, you can purchase new upgrade packs using coins. Coins are earned
by completing challenges and doing well in the Ultimate Team. In addition, you
can participate in the in-game auction house as well as search for people
that are willing to trade players.

To Top

—>ACHIEVEMENTS<—
If you are playing the Sony version of the game, then obviously replace the
word “Achievements” with “Trophies”.

But anyway, in the bottom left-hand corner of the Home menu are two icons.
These icons are achievements that can be tackled just by selecting them
directly from the Home Menu. This means that you can challenge for the
achievement just with a click of a button, which can make achievement hunting a
much easier experience with Madden NFL 25.

To Top

—>OTHER<—
In addition, the icon in the bottom right corner of the screen features a few
different things to look at that will change as the game is updated in the
future.

For now, these are what you will find there. Note that you need to first
highlight the icon and then cycle through the different options using the right
analog stick to see everything.

2. Play
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
While the Home menu can constantly be changing to make jumping into the Madden
NFL 25 experience that much easier, Play is where all the game modes can be
found right off the bat. You’ll be spending a lot of time here, so let’s go
over the different game modes available.

Since these modes do require more explanation than the content on the Home
menu, the organization will be a bit different and there will be a lot more
covered.

CONNECTED FRANCHISE
===================
Combining the player, coach, and owner experience all into one, the Connected
Franchise mode allows players to play either offline or take their game online
through Xbox Live or PlayStation Network.

To start, you have to choose to either control a player, a coach, or an
owner. The game provides a checklist of what you will be doing under each
role. Please note that some of the information below is taken directly from
in-game materials.

With all three options, you have the choice to either create your own, have
one created for you based on your “Game Face”, or choose to use one of the
existing people in the NFL.

MORE MODES
==========
Online Head to Head technically has its own section on the menu, but for the
purposes of this guide, I decided to include it under the “More Modes”
umbrella because there simply is not a whole lot to say about it.

—>ONLINE HEAD TO HEAD<—
Online mode. Choose this option to jump right into Madden NFL 25′s online game
modes.

—>PRACTICE<—
Exactly what it sounds like. Practice playing the game.

—>NEVER SAY NEVER MOMENTS<—
Somewhere, Justin Bieber is ecstatic about this. But anyway, these moments,
sponsored by GMC, are pulled from the weekly NFL games as the season (which is
just starting) gets underway. The greatest moments from the week are then
made into game form so players can get into it right away.

—>EA SPORTS ARENA<—

win cash prizes.

—>COMMUNITIES<—

provided in Head to Head.

Many of the online features that aren’t just playing games can be found in this
section of the title menu.

—>DOWNLOAD COMMUNITY FILES<—
Here you can download files that were created by the community and uploaded to
EA’s servers.

—>SHARE MY FILES<—
Files that you have created can be uploaded to EA’s servers for other people to download.

—>MY DOWNLOADS<—
All of the content that you have downloaded can be found here.

—>FEATURED PLAYBOOK<—
This will change, but basically it is a look at a “featured playbook” that was created.

—>SHARE HIGHLIGHTS<—
Did something particularly awesome in a game? You can share all of your highlights with his feature for other players to view.

4. Customize
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Tailoring the Madden NFL 25 experience to suit your needs is paramount to the overall game. All of that is done right here, in the “Customize” section of the title screen.

—>MANAGE ROSTERS<—
This is exactly as it sounds. Manage the in-game rosters from here.

—>CREATION CENTER<—
If you are one of those people that likes to create their own NFL player, then this is where to go. The Creation Center allows you to create your own content. This content can later be shared on EA’s servers.

—>COACHING OPTIONS<—
Alter Coach settings here.

—>GRIDIRON CLUB<—
If this is a service that you have signed up for, you can track your progress and stats across all the other EA Sports created football games. This is basically a way to reward players that have stuck with the series every year it has released.

—>EXTRAS<—
Here you can watch the credits (It’s in the game!) if you so wish, but the real reason to visit here is to redeem your pre-order codes. As you can tell from the listings above of Coaches, Owners, and NFL players, there are numerous NFL Legends that can’t be used unless you have the special pre-order code.

I marked where that pre-order code had to come from above. If you want to scour the online message boards and such to find such codes, then be my guest, though these locked players will probably be available at a later date as DLC from EA.

6. What’s New
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
Like always, EA spells out what the new features are in the latest Madden game.
Please note that this entire section is taken directly from in-game materials.

To access the in-game manual, press “Y” at any time from the main menu screen.
This will allow you to read “What’s New” yourself, which is located on page 3 of the game’s digital manual.

—>CONNECTED FRANCHISE<—
“In the new Connected Franchise mode, you can now choose to play as the owner
of a franchise and control every area of the team’s performance, in addition to
becoming a coach or player. You’re in charge of answering media questions,
keeping your fan base happy, and winning games.”

—>PRECISION MODIFIED CONTROLS<—
“Precision Modified Controls overhauls the way the ball carrier runs in Madden
NFL 25. How the player’s foot is planted and their forward momentum matter when it comes to how the player moves, giving you a massive amount of control over the running game.”

—>ONLINE SEASONS<—
“Madden Ultimate Team features a new mode this year with Online Seasons. Online
Ssasons is a head to head mode that allows you to play through a 10 game regular season. Pile up enough wins to earn a spot in the playoffs where you’ll then have to string 4 wins ina  row to take home the Lombardi Trophy.”

—>MADDEN SHARE<—
“Share custom rosters, gameplay sliders, and custom playbooks with the all-new Madden Share feature. Upload your files for others to enjoy or download and rate files from other users.”

—>SKILLS TRAINER<—
“Skills Trainer can turn you from a Madden NFL 25 newbie to a pro. Take part in goal-oriented training sessions and view instructional videos to improve your skill.”

—>POSITION SPECIFIC HOT ROUTES<—
“Increase the control you have over your playcalling by utilizing hot routes that are specific to a position. Depending on the position, you may have access to new hot routes when calling plays.”

—>AUDIBLE BY SET<—
“Madden NFL 25 takes the next step in authenticity by revamping the audible system. Rather than having 5 preset audibles, you can now choose audibles for each formation. Plus, you’ll only be able to audible from the same personnel
grouping and will have the option to preselect these audibles by creating a Custom Playbook. No more shifting from 5 WR’s down into goal line!”

7. Controls
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
In football, there are plenty of different situations, positions, and more that factor into what is going on in the actual game. Because of that, there is a wide variety of control options available.

Remember that this guide was created using the Xbox 360 version of the game.
Because of that, these controls assume that you are playing the Xbox 360 version of Madden NFL 25 as well.

9. Future
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
While already avilable for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and iOS (the iOS version is not comparable with the console versions, however), Madden NFL 25 is also going to be made available for eighth generation systems Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

The control information listed above (as well as maybe the achievements/trophies) should transfer well to the next-gen versions because the DualShock 4 controller and the Xbox One controller are pretty much identical to the PS3 and 360 controllers respectively, in terms of button layout and the like.

That being said, the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game will have some differences. Here’s what they are:

-Ignite game engine
-Better graphics
-Better physics
-More reactive environment
-Path collision prediction
-More realistic impacts
-More animations
-More realistic player movement
-Five times more accurate foot tracking
-Vastly improved AI

Probably the biggest change to the next-gen versions is going to be the increased horsepower of the Ignite game engine running on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For the record, the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game runs on Infinity Engine 2.

The gameplay is probably still going to be largely the same, however, across all the versions. The AI will behave differently (read: in a smarter, more advanced manner) because of the Ignite game engine as well. What this means is that they will be able to change course mid-play in order to react more naturally and realistically to what is going on in the game. Furthermore, the
AI will be able to double-team players as well.

I hope this guide helped you when playing Madden NFL 25 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360!

In the future, I hope it helps you with the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game as well!
