2. Rescue
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
As you probably have figured out, these different modes in the Arena are introduced in the main campaign through the Training missions.

In Rescue, the goal is to save hostages and keep them from being killed by the enemies. In the Alpha Arena, you have to fight Thug projections, but in the Beta Arena, for Survival, you have to fight D.U.P. projections, which will add a bit more difficulty.

Click in the right stick to release a wave that will highlight the location of the hostages. The hostages will be highlighted in green. Kill the enemies immediately, and then touch the hostages in order to “collect” and save them.

A lot of the challenges pop up throughout the different Arenas and won’t be repeated here. You can check them out above in the “Free Roam” section.

Rescue has its own set of challenges that are static across all of the different Rescue modes.

Friend of the People – 3 Hostage Saves (1 SP)
Guardian – 10 Hostage Saves (1 SP)

Great Responsibility – 50 Hostage Saves (3 SP)
Crisis Averted – Save 5 Hostages without letting them lose any health (3 SP)

A common trope in gaming has been the “Horde Mode” ever since it was popularized by Gears of War 2 years back. This is exactly the same concept, except utilizing the Infamous combat instead.

On the Alpha Arena, you will be be facing projections of both the D.U.P. and the Demon projections.

On the Beta Arena, you just have D.U.P. projections to deal with.

On the Gamma Arena, you have to fight with Demon projections only.

4. Delsin
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
When you choose to play as Fetch, you will have two different outfits to choose from:

Curdun Cay Fetch
Flashback Fetch

However, you can also play as Delsin. As Delsin, you can play the Rescue and Survival in Alpha, plus Survival and Rescue in Beta, as well as Survival in Gamma.

In order to play as Delsin in the game, you have to have a save file for Infamous: Second Son on your system. The game is a bit misleading about this and says you “have to have Infamous: Second Son” in order to play as Delsin, but you just have to have a save file of it on your system and tied to your PSN account in order to play as Delsin in First Light.
