Getting stranded in an uncharted island is no fun, but the reverse would absolutely hold true if the island in question is Castaway Paradise. Filled with fruit and some friendly and colorful anthropomorphic characters, you wouldn’t feel a moment of loneliness as there are tons of things to do and some great acquaintances to talk to. Part-exploration and part-building game, there’s a lot of content to discover, and doing tasks for friends has never been more fun. Gameplay
Castaway Paradise is a simulation building game that allows players to explore an open world. Players control a marooned character that can go and improve the island and help some animal friends that he meets and interacts with along the way. Questing is the main priority within the game, but players can still move forward and do other tasks such as collect debris, plant trees, and even buy and sell off items. There’s also a function that allows players to expand the island by acquiring puzzle pieces that will then unlock new areas for you to discover.

Currency
Gems and pearls are two of the currencies at play within Castaway Paradise. Gems are the game’s basic currency while pearls are the premium one. Both of these currencies can be used to purchase different items within the game such as new tools and even customizations for your character. Pearls are, of course, more valuable than gems and should be used only when absolutely necessary or when you have enough of a supply. Gems can be won by completing quests or by selling fruits and other collected items, while pearls, on the other hand, can be acquired by leveling up or in exchange for real money.

Experience
Like most games, Castaway Paradise has an experience system where in completing quests will allow players to earn experience points. Once players level up, they will be able to get rewards such as pearls, seeds, speed ups, and many more. Leveling up will also unlock different items that may be purchased or acquired. Thus, the higher your level, the more content will be made available within the game.

The Island
The island is filled with several places to explore, such as shops where in players can buy and trade items, and areas where animal friends may reside. There are also trees that can be used as sources of fruits, which can in turn be used to plant even more trees. However, make sure to water trees regularly in order for them to grow and give you fruit.

The island is also scattered with different items that players can collect. Players can clear these debris and then sell them for a profit. Some trash may also be parts of certain quests, and it’s certainly a good way to get some extra gems in return. Other items may be interacted with using equipment that, when equipped, can be used to affect these items. Different types of equipment may be acquired either as gifts, rewards, or purchases in the store.

Puzzle Pieces
As parts of quests, players will be able to earn puzzle pieces, which are very important parts of the game. Additional pieces may also be acquired using pearls if you do not want to collect them the usual way. Puzzle pieces will form a picture, and completing the puzzle will allow players to open up new areas in the island. New areas will allow your character to explore new locations and possibly interact with new characters exclusive to that particular location.

Animals
Several animals can be talked to, either as part of quests or as players desire. These animals will be the ones who will be mainly providing players with quests, and they can also interact with them and exchange words with each other. These include Viktoria the mayor, Angus the ape, Gustav the moose, and many more. Other characters will be made available as players get to explore more of the island. This means that there can be more quests that the players can do.

Speed Ups
Some processes such as building and waiting for crops to grow will take time. In order to speed up tasks, players can spend pearls. As an alternative, they can also use speed ups, which would reduce waiting time for processes to complete. Speedups can be acquired as rewards, either by logging in daily or by completing quests. Use speedups in order to reduce waiting times as opposed to pearls as they are much more abundant than the latter.

Customizations
Players are also able to customize the look of their character. Various items such as costumes and heads may be purchased and equipped in order to customize the appearance of your character. These may be bought at shops or won as rewards. Changing the look of your character will not provide difference in gameplay, but is merely for cosmetic purposes, so don’t spend all of your currencies on these especially if there are more important things to purchase.

Quests
Quests are provided by animals from time to time. Multiple quests can be ongoing at the same time, and they can be completed in any order for as long as all prerequisites are available. Completing quests will provide rewards as well as experience points. Players can look at the left side of the screen for all active quests so that they can check as to which they would want to do first. Prioritize the completion of quests above all else in order to move the game forward faster.

Daily Rewards
Players are rewarded with prizes for logging into the game daily. Prizes increase in value the more continuous you play, so make sure that you do enter the game on a daily basis if you are serious about it. Prizes include gems, speedups, new costumes, and various others. All of these can work towards giving you additional resources and, at the very least, new ways on how to customize your character and the island as well.
