Overkill 2 is a Virtua Cop or Time Crisis style shooting game for the iPhone and iPad, as well as for Google Play, with some RPG elements thrown in, such as experience points and currency systems. Your goal is to advance through various waves of enemy soldiers, with the goal being to survive the wave, kill as many of them as you can, and then buy guns, power ups and new armor so that you can beat the tougher ones. You’ll unlock new levels as you beat them. Read on for some tips and tricks for Overkill 2!
The control scheme can be very difficult to handle at first; however, you can make it MUCH easier using the options menu. First, access the options menu from either the main menu, or after pausing the game. Once there, you can increase or decrease the sensitivity of the game to your finger movements. Decreasing the sensitivity will make it MUCH easier to hold the gun still so that you can aim properly.
Second, turn on the crosshairs. The regular aiming scheme has you looking over the barrel of the gun, but the gun is woefully inaccurate and tends to get in your way when you are trying to aim. With the crosshairs on, the gun will be out of the way and the crosshairs will maximize your accuracy.
Buying gun power-ups which increase your damage and your accuracy will help you greatly. You’ll have less missed headshots with the accuracy power up, and with the damage upgrades, it will take a lot less shots to kill an enemy.
Instead of waiting for the gun to auto reload when you run out of bullets, reload it when you kill all of the enemies on screen, and are waiting for more enemies to show up, so that you can have some time not being shot at while you’re reloading.
And while you are upgrading, make sure not to neglect the body armor upgrades, which are the fourth tab on the top when you are in the store. They will add health and armor as well as slots on various different upgrade slots and survival multipliers.
