Fruit Ninja has been around for a VERY long time, and is a game that needs no introduction whatsoever. However, the latest update to it, which as of this writing is version 2.0.0, has added so much to the game that it might as well be a sequel – not a whole new game as the core gameplay is there, but it’s quite a bit different now. Read on for some tips and tricks for Fruit Ninja v2.0!
The main three game modes are the same here. If you are just playing for the first time, then it works like this. Classic mode is not timed, you just have to keep going for as long as you can until you hit a bomb or drop three fruit. Zen mode is timed and has no bombs. Arcade mode is like zen but with bombs that will take away 10 points apiece, and bananas which contain specific powers.
One of the main differences is the presence of new stages and new equipment. Before, it was all cosmetic. Now, it all has effects, so go to the in game store and start shopping around for stuff that has desirable effects. For example, the Sakura blade adds one point to every combo, while Old Glory slows down the special fruit.
Master the art of slicing quickly, as the faster you slice, the easier it is to make a combo. Slow slicing will cause fruits to not count as combos. Whenever you get a combo you will double the amount of points and starfruit that you get (and if you have the previously mentioned Sakura blade, add one point to that).
Go to the in app purchase store and hit the Free Starfruit button. Every time that you watch a video, you will earn 100 free starfruit, and when you run out of videos, then just wait fifteen minutes or so and go back and you should see a video. This is an easy way to rack up free starfruit, especially when you get to such a high level that experience levels are hard to come by (they earn 1,000 coins per level).
BeDollars have been added to monetize the game, so if you use the BeDollars app, use that and you can trade your BeDollars in for currency on Fruit Ninja. Then you can buy even more stages and power ups.
