Welcome to the walkthrough and beginner’s guide for I Am MT: Card Battle! This game is based on an unofficial parody of World of Warcraft, a cartoon that’s hugely popular in China, but this game is just as fun even if you don’t know Chinese, and haven’t seen the cartoon. The card battling gameplay is similar to games such as Rage of Bahamut and Ayakashi Ghost Guild, with other similarities to games like Puzzle and Dragons and Angel Salvation. Read on for the beginner’s guide to I Am MT: Card Battle!
As you begin the game, you’re filled in a bit on the story and you can choose between one of three characters: MT, Shaman or Druid. Each of these characters (along with every character that you find in the game has two main statistics: an attack stat and a hit point stat. Their attack power determines how much damage they do when they attack a particular enemy, and the hit points determine how much damage they can take before they die. If they die, though, don’t worry, they come back after the battle is done.
Once you enter the battle, everything is carried out automatically. Your characters will take turns attacking, and the enemy characters will take turns attacking. There are three stages per battle, and 30 rounds per stage. Once you beat all three stages, you win the battle.
After each battle, you get a number of drops, including coins, hero cards, card pieces, equipment and experience points. Experience points allow you to gain experience levels, which allows you to unlock extra features as you go; for example, at level 15, you unlock the ability to double the speed of every battle. Card drops are your most common drops, while the least common are the card pieces.
You go to the dungeons to battle. You start off on the normal dungeons, but as you progress you can unlock the elite dungeons, which are the exact same as the normal dungeons, except much tougher. They earn you better drops, however. Also, various limited edition events appear randomly. When you’re at the dungeons menu, tap the “elite” button in the upper left corner to go to the elite dungeons, or tap “event” in the upper right corner to go to the event dungeons.
