You have normal attacks for each of your characters, and depending on your rarity, you also have a number of skills. Always check your skill damage and effectiveness versus your AP to see which skills are the most effective. If there is a “boss enemy”in the battle you’re fighting, or if your fighters start to get low on hit points, then start using your AP at that point, but don’t use it if you don’t have to.
The single best way to have a more effective team is to have uncommon, rare, super rare and super super rare heroes. Your starting hero will be super super rare. After that, you have to recruit heroes using either gems or gold coins. Save the gems that you earn from every stage and use them to pull as many high rank recruits as possible. Recruit 5 at a time so that you can save gems – it saves 4 gems compared to recruiting them one at a time.
After that, the easiest way is to upgrade the arms that your team uses. Gem-based purchases in the arms shop will earn you the rarest of the rare weapons, but they will cost more gems than even getting a rare party member will. Spend 200 gold coins and you can do a standard weapon purchase. Load up, because there is a high chance that you can score a rare weapon. Then, equip them on your team members for a nice power upgrade.
Always check the stage info to find out what you have to do in order to beat a stage. Usually, it will be to defeat every enemy on the stage, but for stages where there are bosses, you will win automatically if you beat the boss regardless of whether you defeat the other enemy units or not. Once you are actually in the stage, check the map to see what the traits, advantages, and disadvantages of each tile are, especially those like lava tiles, which harm any character that stops on them.
