Allies in War is a new real time strategy game for the iPhone and iPad platforms. The gameplay follows pretty closely to the Clash of Clans formula. Your goal is to build up a strong base that pumps out ammo and oil, then use your supplies in the barracks to train powerful troops so that you can destroy the bases of Evil Von Bartz and attack other players at will. Read on for some tips and tricks for Allies in War!
Building up smart defenses is the only way that you’re going to survive constant attacks from other players. Your starting point should be to place your buildings as close together as possible. Your most important buildings are the ones that contain ammo and oil, so place then towards the center of your building and place your defensive towers in strategic locations so that their range covers everything, or as many buildings as possible at least.
This makes it easier to build a wall all the way around your city, too. You can upgrade every single section of your wall to make it even stronger. While it’s time consuming and generally annoying to do, this can be a huge step to not getting blown away, and possibly even to foiling engineers who try to blow up sections of wall.
When it comes to attacking, first and foremost you should have as many troops as possible when you attack. For this reason, always max out your number of army camps and upgrade them as high as possible. Upgrade your HQ bunker in order to increase the maximum number of army camps (and any other building) that you can build, and to increase the max upgrade level on them.
Try to save your gold bars as much as possible, because they are the premium currency of the game. However, don’t forget about clearing rocks, brush, trees and other obstacles. Not only will this give you more space in which to build, but most of them will also contain free gold bars that are collected upon finishing clearing the obstacle.
For the easiest victory possible, try to send in your troops as close to the enemy’s HQ as possible. However, when playing other players, sometimes you’ll want to forget about the star rankings and just raid tons of resources. In this case, target the factories, ammo dumps and oil storages using a few troops as possible (so that you can save troops).
