Play To Cure: Genes in Space is a new iPhone and Android space shooter, but this is a space shooter with a twist. In this game, as you play and collect “element alpha”, you’re actually helping scientists in the UK to analyze DNA from cancer cells, thus cutting their research time down MASSIVELY for diagnosing and healing cancer. The game portion, oddly enough, is frustrating, difficult and addicting as well. Read on for some tips and tricks for Play To Cure: Genes in Space!
Playing as a guest will not allow you to upgrade at all, but it won’t expose you to the asteroid fields. Signing up and logging in will expose you to the asteroid fields, which are very frustrating and difficult. You’re going to need a lot of quick last-second turns for these ones. Pick up the glowing orbs for the EXP boosters.
Asteroids, despite their difficulty, can be the number one way to boost your experience gain. Each asteroid that you shoot and blow apart (or split in half) adds another multiplier to the experience gain. Each exp booster (glowing globe) also adds another multiplier, so stack them for massive experience gain.
Want to destroy the most asteroids as possible? Upgrade your shields and your guns first. Use the guns to blow asteroids apart, and with your upgraded shields, use your ship to crash into asteroids and destroy them when you can’t get to them by shooting.
You have to map out your path through the element alpha so that you can go on the most advantageous route. You don’t have to place points everywhere, though, if all of the thickest points are down a straight line. Also, if you are looking at a very thin field of element alpha, you can hit the back button, then reload the pre-level page to see if a thicker field of element alpha has shown up yet.
Increase the level of your fins to up the speed of your turns, which especially helps with asteroids. Increase the level of your intakes to grab more element alpha from a wider area. Increase the level of your engines to go faster.
