Rivals At War: Firefight – Tips and Tricks Guide: Hints, Cheats and Strategies

Rivals At War: Firefight is the third game in the Rivals At War series, and this one is the first one that actually lets you get involved in the shooting action. Your goal in this game is to have your team of soldiers defeat teams of enemy soldiers, whether they are computer controlled or player controlled. This is done not only by being the better shooter and evader but by using card collection elements to maximize the strength of your team. Read on for the tips and tricks guide for Rivals At War: Firefight!

Like the rest of the games in the series, this game has two currencies: coins and bucks. Coins are the main currency while big bucks are the secondary, premium currency that is normally reserved for in-app purchases. You can earn free big bucks via leveling up and by completing the TapJoy offers that are inside of the IAP store, as well as winning player vs player tournaments.

Coins are earned simply by playing as many games as you can, and winning as you earn more coins for winning than for losing. Plus, if you go to the IAP store and tap on the button that says “get coins”, there’s a button that lets you watch advertisement videos in order to earn free coins. If you are stuck or you are just impatient, or you’re out of energy, go here and load up on the free coins.

Energy is required in order to play the game. If you run out of energy and you don’t want to spend bucks on purchasing more, simply go to the date and time menu on your phone or tablet and set the time ahead. It takes ten minutes per energy point that you want to get back, so refill your energy by setting the time ahead by exactly an hour. You can do this as many times as you want with no limits.

Most of whether you win or lose will be decided by the strength of your team, by the numbers. You can get a 5 point team bonus for having one of every soldier role active, and an additional 5 point team bonus if you have all of your soldiers be from the same country.

However, much of it will have to do with how well you play, as the commander. Use the map to figure out where obstacles are so that you can avoid them on your way to the main mission completion area. Spend as much time in that area (the yellow hexagons) as possible, although if you need to kill off enemy soldiers, a great way to do it is to stay outside of the mission completion area and camp out until you get some kills, since typically they don’t pay attention to the area outside of it. Then go into the area when it’s a bit safer.
