Big Fish is pleased to announce that Fairway Solitaire™ is back, and it’s bigger and better than ever! The much-anticipated sequel and one of the most exciting and addictive card games available includes solitaire hands dealt on more than 350 hand-crafted golf holes, 4 mini games, 32 trophies, a golf shop, golf announcers, hazard cards, and one SERIOUSLY ticked off gopher!

Whether you use this document as a reference when things get difficult or as a road map to get you from beginning to end, we’re pretty sure you’ll find what you’re looking for here.

We hope you find this information useful as you play your way through the game. Use the menu below to quickly jump to whatever stage of the game you need help with. Getting Started

• Welcome to the Tips and Tricks for Fairway Solitaire HD by Big Fish.
• Log into your Big Fish account (A).
• After you have enjoyed playing, please select the Gopher (B) to rate the game.
• Select the envelope (C) to send invites to your friends to play.
• Select the Twitter button (D) to connect to Fairway Solitaire on Twitter.
• Select Play (E) to start.

• Select the gear icon (G) to access the settings.
• You may select from various front and back of the card decks (H).
• You may change the sound levels of the music, drives, announcer and bird tweeting individually (I).
• Select movies (J) to replay the movies as they are unlocked.
• You can spread the word and invite your friends to play via the Tell A Friend button (K).

Terminology

• Par: The number of cards allowed remaining after completing the course. If the course is a Par 3 and you get a Perfect score, it will be a double eagle or 3 under par (L).
• Bogey: 1 over par.
• Double Bogey: 2 over par.
• Triple Bogey: 3 over par.
• Birdie: 1 under par.
• Eagle: 2 under par (M).
• Double Eagle: 3 under par.
• Triple Eagle: 4 under par.

Gameplay

• Select the arrow to return to the main menu, restart course, access scorecard and settings (N).
• Tap the cards that are higher or lower than the card face up on the bottom (O).
• Aces can be played on both a 2 and a King Card (P).
• Survey all the face up cards and choose the cards that can create the longest string of cards to achieve a Great Shot long drive (Q).
• Filling the Great Shot long drive gives you a bonus. The amount of the bonus depends on how far you filled the meter. A full meter gives you 1000 GB.
• Select the next card from the deck when you can no longer continue. If there are no more available moves, the next card on the pile will light up (R).

• If you miss a card, the cards that could have been used will shake when you choose a next card in the deck. You may then choose to use your Mulligan to undo a move (S).
• You get one Mulligan per hole.
• When you complete a course and achieve your goal you will unlock the next course (T).
• If you wish to get a perfect score, or are far from meeting your goal for that course, you can buy 5 extra cards for GBs to increase your score (U).
• You can redo a course to get a higher score but you cannot choose to do over a single hole.
• Earn stars (V) by beating the par for each hole to increase your rank.
• If you are satisfied with your score you can select the End Hole button (V1).

Courses

• The course name is located on the upper left (W).
• The course par is located left of the course name (X).
• The amount of holes in your current course is located to the right of the course name. They will vary from 3-9 holes in a course (Y).
• The amount of cards that remain to be removed to achieve the par goals for the hole are located under the course name (Z).
• The accumulated score for the course on completed holes are located under the hole number (A).
• Stars are awarded based on your overall course score.

Daily Courses

• Check the Daily icon for a free game every day (B).
• If you do not play the free challenge on the initial day of offering they can still be unlocked with Golf Bucks. You can side scroll the screen to go to previous days.
• Achieve the Challenge Count for the day (C) to earn Challenge Cups (D) to unlock the Daily Pack courses (E).
• The Daily Pack courses are located under the Course tab (F) and are Course group 13, 14 and 15 (G).

Special Cards and Traps

• The wedge card (H) must be cleared and selected to unlock sand traps (I).
• All water hazard cards (J) must be cleared to unlock water locks (K).
• Rough cards require two moves to remove a card. The first move eliminates the rough; the second removes the card (L).

• Wild Cards Extra Irons cards (M) randomly appear and selecting them will add an iron to your bag (N).
• These irons can be used to change the face up card on the deck so that you can create longer chains of cards or to eliminate a remaining card.
• If your bag is full you will not find any more Irons.
• Midas Clubs (O) can be used to clear a rough or can be used to collect any card on the playing field.

Golf Bucks, Purchases and Power Ups.

• You can earn Golf Bucks, otherwise referred to as GBs, by linking to your BigFish account from the main screen (P).
• Tap the Gopher (Q) when he pops up for extra GBs.
• Unlocking trophies, earning stars and ranking up will earn you Golf Bucks.
• Select the + by the golf bag (R) to purchase irons. You may only have one of each iron in your bag. If you want to fill your bag of remaining irons it is cheaper to select the Fill Bag option (S) rather than purchasing them individually.
• You may access and purchase a golf club as needed during gameplay without interruption or penalties.
• You can replenish and purchase your replacement irons after you play one hole (S1). The price will go up after the initial purchase, but will reduce in price after each hole completed and will fully reset to the lowest price after you have played 6 holes.
• Select the banner (T) to buy bags of Midas Clubs.

• Select the Golf Shop icon (U) to purchase Golf Bucks, Power-ups and Fun stuff!
• Side scroll to view all the items available for purchase (V).
• The following is a list of items available by category.
• Mini Game boosts: Eye Can’t Miss Glasses will slow down the putting contest arrow.
• Head Down Trainer slows down the Longest Drive Contest Arrow.
• Find Time Watch slows down the Lost Ball mini game.
• Gopher Rooter gives you a new Wild Shot game and reduces Gopher appearances.
• Gopher Repellent reduces Wild Shot appearances.
• Magnetic Rabbit’s Foot increases the odds of getting a good Wild Shot.
• Whack-a-Gopher adds a Whack-a-Gopher mini game.
• Gameplay boosts: ‘Mulligain’ Card adds 1 extra Mulligan per hole.
• Flower Power Herbal Drink increases Long Drive Contest distances.
• Iron Factory allows repurchasing of irons at a reduced rate after one hole.
• Flick of the Wrist Book flips over half the face-down cards at the beginning of each hole.
• Draw Pile Counter shows the number of cards remaining in draw pile.
• X-Ray Glasses allows you to see the top card on the draw pile.
• Munch Ease Weed Eater removes one playable rough card on each hole.
• Free Mulligan Certificate permanently adds an extra Mulligan to each hole.
• In-a-Row Machine makes Great Shots start at 5 cards instead of 6.
• Iron Detector increases the odds of finding irons.
• Water Hazard Diuretic removes 3 playable Water Cards at the start of every hole.
• Sand Blaster removes 3 playable Sand cards at the start of every hole.
• Acme Score Dropper removes 2 playable cards per hole.
• Gold Seeker increases the odds of finding a Midas Club.
• Money Savers: Head Start Cereal starts every hole with 10 Golf Bucks on the Great Shot meter.
• Deal Maker Book gives you a 25% discount on all Golf Bucks items.
• Fun Stuff: Cinco de Mayo Card Backs.
• FAN Favorites Card Backs.
• Historical Card Backs.
• Sandy Card Backs.
• Sidekick Card Backs.
• The Stache Card Backs.
• Tropical Card Backs.
• McDivot Movie 10.
• You can earn free Golf Bucks by selecting the Free Golf Bucks button by watching videos (W).

Side Games

• Side games will randomly pop up and you can choose to play them (X) or skip for a 1 card penalty (Y).
• If you play and you lose, you can lose cards from your deck, your mulligan, GB bucks or other penalties.
• If you win, you can win extra Mulligan’s, GB Bucks and other items at random.
• There are various random mini games if you choose to play the Wild Shot. Side Bet allows you to try your hand at guessing the higher card (Z).
• Boomerang Ball gives you an extra Mulligan if it appears (A).
• McDivit is a pachinko type game in which you drop the ball in the top in hopes of it bouncing into a winning slot below. You will earn the amount of Golf Bucks that appear in the section the gopher lands in (B).
• There are many more options of various mini games including extras that can be purchased in the Golf Shop.

Trophies and Records

• Select the Trophies icon (C) to see which trophies you have won and which are still to be achieved.
• There are 67 trophies in all; you can check your progress in the upper right (D).
• Side scroll to view the different trophies and how to earn them to earn Golf Bucks (E).

• Select the Records icon to access your personal records (F) and standings.
• Scroll sideways to access the different records.
• The 7 record categories are: Challenge Cups, Stars, Trophies, Total Cards Played, Great Shot, and Whack-a-Gopher Mini Game.
• All Stats can be seen on the last tab (G).
• Check your progress against Friends or All Players (H).
• Check the Recent and All-Time stats here (I).
