The thing about this building is that your opponent may have to travel around them or destroy them which may take a great deal of time. During this time, you can s[censored] your enemy with ranged units such as siege tanks. Walling in with Supply Depots can be an important tactic to remember.

In order to construct this building, you must have 100 minerals. The structure has a build time of 30, provides 8 Supply, has 400 hit points 1 Armor. The stats are very specific, but these are requirements in order to build this structure.

You can lower this building which means that it lowers the building allowing ground units to walk across it. This can be done using the hotkey R. You can also raise it. This means that you will essentially raise the building forbidding anyone to walk across it. This ability is commonly used when the supply depot is part of a wall in.

Another benefit of these structures is the fact that they allow you to to see areas around your base. They are perfect for an impeccable vision source. To do this however, you cannot build them in a box or a line pattern. You should spread them around the base in order for them to provide the most amount of vision.
