Starhawk Walkthrough Part 4 – The Pipeline

Starhawk Walkthrough Part 4 – The Pipeline

Secure the Rift Processor
Once Emmett hits ground, hit “Square” to clear out of the Drop Pod. Head forward and up the slope to the left. Once you get there, a ways over you will find the Scabs that are working to tear through what the Workers got up. Get over there and move toward the grass.

Cutter jumps in and tells you about the Snipers that are around. Emmett has him get a Watchtower ready for drop. As soon as it is, get one in place. Climb up it and grab the Sniper Rifle. Equip it and start at the Scabs along the top of the ridges. There are 3 to begin with. After they go down, more Scabs will drop in. The good news is no more Snipers. Just take out the Scabs as quickly as you can.

Activate the Rift Processor
Once Cutter tells you what the problem is with the pipeline, it is time to get over there and set into it. Head for it, gunning down the Scabs around you. Once they are all dead, make a dash for the left part of the building in front of you. Take the ramp just to the right of the marker up. Turn left and you will find a Ladder that will take you right up to it. Climb it and activate the switch there. Drop back down and put up turrets around to defend the processor. Just keep those coming to take out the Scabs and Scrappers without much difficulty.

Once that part is through, back over to the second drop point, the landing pad. Here you can get some walls in to help out with the Turrets. Just be sure you have a few turrets and a single one will get destroyed fast. A pair of turrets on some wall will make defending this area simple. Once a pair of waves have hit there, something new joins the fray.

Cutters calls an Apex Warrior dropping into the Fray. They are big and nasty, a terrible combination. Get over there. If you have any remaining defenses in that area, they will be targeted first. This heads by the Processor some time for Emmett to maek the dash. Once there, just pull out a gun and start shooting a lot. It takes a lot of damage to down the Apex Warrior but it is very doable. It goes down but the Scabs are not down for the count yet.

Protect the Pipelines
The Launch Pad is ready and available for use. Drop one immediately and get onto the Mech Platform. Wait a moment and a pair of the Rifters will join the fight in the Mechs. There are a total of 5 Bombers that come in to take down the Tub platform. Around the area you will need to worry about air mines. The problem with the mines is they are airborne, black and have a red flashing light. The good news is they do not do a lot of damage alone. Still, enough of them can easily take down the Mech. Fly around the area and you can collect Cluster Bombs, Homing Missles and Swarm Missiles. The Cluster Bombs are good for ground based targets or an aerial one that you have a straight line to. Homing and Swarm missiles you have some experience with.

Once the 5 Bombers are down, 3 groups of Scabs will land. They do so with Rocket Launchers so you need to take them out quickly. Use the Cluster Bombs as well as Mech mode to quickly defeat each of the groups before they get the chance to do anything there.

Once those are down, more Fighters fly in. Get back in the air and engage them there. Another round of aerial combat ensues. Get down and dirty with them to make sure the pipes take minimal damage. With that in mind and your built up experience,  taking down these 4 Hawks.

The battle is not over quite yet. You get a chance to build up some defenses now as another large wave of Pod Drops are incoming. Get a few Turrets up around the area and a Supply Bunker could not go wrong either. Just keep firing at every Outcast you can. Eventually the Captain of the Tug above gets too freaked out and pulls away. When he does that, Emmett calls over to Cutter to get a Shield Generator ready and down. After that call, drop one where it is suggested and get into the area. It will stop the bigger Outcast from getting at you and the fire from the small ones outside the shield wall. Once they make it to the inside of it though, there's nothing much that can be done. Just keep the fight up until the stage finishes.
