Mid-battle is a terrible time to get a long Monado Flash- but Shulk is stuck doing it anyways. This one, though, is different. Longer-reaching.
First to show is Shulk, Reyn, Sharla, Dunban, and a couple of other people we don’t know, standing outside a massive tower in the middle of a lake. “We must be outside the tower.” One of them says, as they all look at the impressive structure.
Then, Shulk, Reyn, and an unknown girl are shown, in front of what appears to be a huge man with a large, curly beard. The Homs and the strange girl- who appears to have wings on her head- are all looking to the giant man, who is apparently welcoming the ‘True Heir to the Monado’, which can be assumed to be Shulk.
Next, the wing-headed girl from before, running into the arms of a man- apparently her father- and the two embracing in what appears to be joyful relief. The man is clearly someone important, if his massive and ornate robes are anything to go by.
Then there is a moment of Metal Face, standing over someone and calling them weak and pathetic.
After this is Dunban, asking of nobody visible: ‘What or who are you?’
Finally, a vision of Shulk, swearing vengeance in the name of ‘The Emperor’ and Fiora and lashing out with the Monado- to strike down Metal Face. As the Mechon’s hull breaks apart, the view attempts to focus on -something- inside the splitting body of the Mechon, but what it is isn’t clear enough to make out.
Abruptly free of the vision of the future(s?), Shulk mutters ‘Another one’- and is then knocked free of his perch by a completely fed up Metal Face. Declaring that Shulk just got lucky and will die next time they meet, Metal Face launches into the air and flies away. Shulk runs to the edge of the path over the cliff, shouting at the departing machine, Reyn close behind, but Dunban calls to them to stop. Reyn sounds frustrated, but Dunban tells him to know his limits and remember that there will be more opportunities. Shulk reluctantly calms himself as well, shutting off the Monado.
Watching as Metal Face flees the ‘Teletha’ that saved the group, Dunban wonders aloud about the strange creature.
Moments later, we are allowed a view of a strange young man- possibly a teenager- sitting on a high bluff. The white being flies up in front of him and he looks up at it as it floats there. He complements the creature on doing a good job, and asks about ‘the boy’. The reply is unintelligible, but apparently meaningful to the man, who says that he and his Teletha have a lot of work a head of them. Rising to his feet, he turns and heads off, the strange creature following him.
