This is the first Vigor that Booker will come to possess. It is key to getting him into Raffle Square and a great aid after that. When you initially get this vigor it only works on mechanical beings. Once upgraded it will allow Possession to work on Humans. Standard human enemies will kill themselves when the effect ends. Heavy Hitters will only be possessed for half the total time and will not kill themselves at the end of the effect. Understand that only one thing can be possessed at a time (unless you are using the alternate fire). While this can be used to instantly kill the human you have possessed it does not work too well if you have a mechanical turret possessed as it will immediately turn on you. It will not work on Sirens or the Handyman so just do not bother.
The Alternate Fire from Possession lets it work in an area. It cost a lot and can only get a few targets generally. It cost virtually all your salts, save for having the second upgrade, so it is generally not worth the cost.
One final note: Possession can be used on Vending Machines to make them give you money. If you know there are Salts to be found in the nearby area then hit the vending machines to get some Silver Eagles. This only works once per Vending Machine but if you can replenish your Salts afterward it is a great boost.
Combos:
Mix with Shock Jockey to have your possessed target become an electrical generator wandering through the enemy ranks. They will zap everything nearby before they either die or kill themselves. If you mix this with Devil's Kiss to create a walking firestorm. It cost more than the previous combo but it does more damage and hits with a damage over time effect. Either combination is good for when you are lower on ammo or just need to reload.
