This is one of the better powers to use in the midst of battle. You will have little trouble creating the room you need to reload a weapon using either version of this attack. When you just tap the button you get your grenade. Press and hold the button to create a magma trap. While you cannot trigger it you just need to get an enemy to approach it for it to trigger and set them aflame. Throw this version anywhere you want: Walls, the start of a Sky-Track and watch the resulting havoc. This is a great way to attack airborne or incoming enemies. There is always something satisfying about watching them burn.
Upgrades:
The Mod to Devil's will add in the mini-clusters. This increases the overall area that it can effect even in its lesser quick version. The second, the Boost, increases the damage done. A great little boon to an already powerful Vigor.
Combos:
This is one of the most versatile Vigors that you have in your stores. It combos with most the other vigors very well. If you set someone on fire using it then hit that person with the Charge Vigor you will create a mobile trap that is spewing magma. This is only compounded when you have the Devil's Kiss Mod, adding even more burning goodness onto them. This is great for groups obviously. Just hit something in the middle and watch the group just burn away.
Mix with Possession to create a mobile firestorm & with enough Salts you can add in the Charge effect as well (or just be sure to have modified it).
Combine with Murder of Crows to create a flying Firestorm that stuns and burns. Keep this mind for when you are dealing with the Handyman enemy. They do not like crows and they do not like fire. While it cost a lot of Salts the benefits are worth it to deal with those hard enemies with a damage boost.
Add this in with Bucking Bronco to create a cluster of fiery explosions. This gives the Bronco a better area of effect. This is the only way to add in an area of effect before upgrading Bucking Bronco.
