Borderlands 2 Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage Walkthrough Part 20 – Battle: Twelve O' Clock High
To get Flyboy to let you in you need to deal with his Buzzards. On top of that you are instructed to steal his bling. You have 5 minutes to complete this battle once you start into it. Head into the arena and hit the rally point. After that there is quite a bit that needs to happen. First, this initial wave of Buzzards does not seem to have the massive armaments that many of the other buzzards have had (see the ones in The Dust). Remember that with Buzzards, for criticals, you want to aim for the engines. If you can do that with corrosive, all the better. Explosive also works very well especially if it has a good high rate of fire. A slow rate of fire will cost you the mission far more often than not so be sure you have a good rate of fire on whatever gun you are using against the buzzards. At most you will be dealing with 5 buzzards at once. As you cut down the escorts and it is more on the Cargo, there is less to worry about in terms of dying. The flip side of that is the Cargo Buzzards follow a long loop which is a lot harder to deal with in general. This can place them outside your range for 15 seconds, if not more.
For this fight you need to be ready to wait occasionally and that is one of the worst things to be doing in a timed battle. First, you have 2 Cargo Buzzards strolling around to start. On the Eastern side of the map the first of 3 Escort Buzzards is taking off. You want to start by firing on the Cargo buzzards. Taking one of them down drops 3 pieces of Bling. It is also possible to shoot the cargo crates on the sides of the Cargo Buzzard to get it drop a piece of Bling per crate. If you can get the Bling early, then you will have less to worry about as the Cargo Buzzards are the ones that actively try to avoid you. They also do the least damage of the pair of Buzzard types you are dealing with here.
The Escort Buzzards act much more like the Buzzards you are used to. They will, occasionally, swing wide and you will need to deal with them all. Still, for this mission you need to kill 3 of them. The quicker you can do this, the better. In a sense it is better to save the Escort Buzzards for the second target because they will more actively try to kill the Vault Hunter. Still, by no means is this saying you should not attack them until the Cargo Buzzards go down. It is very important to fire on whatever buzzard is closest
When the fighting is all done head for the Battle Board and turn in the quest. Time to be dealing with the #2 badass.
