Metro: Last Light Walkthrough Part 27 – The Chase

Khan and Artyom recover from their travels in the river and emerge back in the real world. The Dark One should be close by. They are going to have to hunt it down now. Follow Khan out of the water and over to the right, up onto the platform.

Start down the tunnel and you will find a Ranger Psot that has been hit by a Squad of Reds. They wiped out the troop stationed at this point. Head forward past the hanging cans to the lockers. Look in the closed one for MGA and some Medkits. To the left you will find a Rifle that you can grab if you would like. With what you want in hand then start over to the right. Khan will go into a Rail Car and tell you to hop in with him. Do so.

Time to begin the Chase properly. Turn over to the right, pull out an assault rifle if you have and get ready. There are 2 train cars of Reds that will come along side yours. Start shooting at them. After you deal with one or two Khan will tell Artyom to hold on. He blasts a Train car in front of your own.

Time to take out 2 more Train Cars that appear on the right. Try to take out the driver first, it will slow the cars down and make it easier to pick off the others. When those 2 are down the story moves forward to the Train you are after.

As the rear of the train covers into view, switch to a scoped weapon. If you have anything that is decent range with a Zoom Scope, you are set. If not, look for where the Mounted Gun is and fire just above the muzzle flash. That should hit the Red who is manning it and take him out.

The track now runs parallel with the other train. There are 4 more Reds you need to deal with. Just take out who you can. After a short while Khan will prompt you to jump over to the next train. This will trigger a cutscene where Artyom does just that.

Once Artyom is on the train, look to the left and set off in that direction. You have a number of Reds blocking your way forward. Just weave between the sets of boxes and do your best to take out either the lights or the Reds as quickly as you can. Eventually you will make it into a covered car. Once inside this car, look ahead to the boxes on the right. You will find the Note for this Chapter just sitting there.

Now start forward again. There are more Reds between you and the Cage. Just keep pressing forward. Move carefully though. The only solid cover is from the metal of the train itself. The racks and everything on them can be shot through. Be sure to use this to your advantage. You have 2 cars to get through before the next part. Kill the last of them then go charging through the train. Eventually it will blow up some and you are treated to a Cutscene. This will end the chapter as Artyom walks off with the little Dark One.
