This strategy is a variation of the classic 1x Rax Expand and is based on the production of Hellions and Banshees. This Build Order will help you resist pressure from the Roaches or a Banelings bust! This build will set you up economically and be able to counter all the units produced by a Hatchery. Also this build opens up a lot of strategies both economically and in terms of military with various possibilities between the mechanical and biological. However you must remain vigilant because you will be vulnerable to various Zerg attacks in early-game and your scouting will play an important role in your development.

What are the differences between a 14 CC opening and a 1x Rax Expo when you want to start on a Hellion/Banshee?
First of all the 14 CC aims at economics and, as indicated, you will have a boost in early game if you start with 14 CC. The negative points of this strategy:
• The enemy can easily gather information
• Difficult to adapt to your opponent's strategies
• Vulnerabie in early-game
In terms of the timings, they will be similar and there isn't one of the two opening that will give you a particular advantage in the early.
• The choice between the 14 CC and the 1 Rax Expand will depend on:
• The map and the number of enemy positions (a map like Ohana – 2 starting positions – won't necessarily be suitable for a 14 CC but a mecanic style would be good on this map)
• The size of the map
• Your opponent's playing style (based on economy, agression, cheesy...)
