Marvel Heroes: Knowing What Gear to Collect

Like a true action-RPG, Marvel Heroes is all about looting items and gear. Collecting every single drop doesn’t make much sense, as you only have a limited amount of item slots and would have to return to HQ every couple of minutes. We are here to help you decide which types of gear you should focus on.

Your characters in Marvel Heroes can wear different pieces of gear. Storm, for example, has a slot for wrist bands, a body suit, a cape, boots, and a head piece. Obviously, you would want to equip one piece of gear for each slot.

Every item comes in five different colors which indicate what kind of properties and stat-bonuses that specific piece of clothing has.

These are the stats for a green cape.

Blue+ attack/ + defensetwo to three bonusesPurple+ attack/ + defensemore than three bonuses

Yellow+ attack/ + defensemore than four bonusestwo special bonuses

These are the stats for a yellow bodysuit.

In the beginning of the game, you should focus on getting any kind of gear to boost your stats. The further you advance in Marvel Heroes, the more you can focus your search. While it may not necessarily hold true that you should only focus on purple and yellow types of gear, they certainly are rarer and will give your character more potential bonuses. According to your gaming style, however, you might also want to stick to a green or blue type of gear for a long time. Finding the right kind of gear is a never-ending process and comes with a lot of trial and error.
