Action-RPGs like Marvel Heroes can be quite overwhelming at times. Not only are there certain genre conventions that each game conforms to, but there are also game-specific rules that each player has to learn.
In Marvel Heroes, for example, colors play a major role in signifying distinct attributes of items, status effects, and enemies. After you defeat enemies, they will generally drop different colored orbs that you can collect. These orbs come in blue, red, purple, and yellow. Each color has a different purpose: Blue OrbRestores spiritRed OrbRestores healthPurple OrbRestores bothYellow OrbGrants experience pointsMake sure to collect these orbs as fast as you can after they drop. The longer you wait, the smaller and less powerful they will be. If you don’t need a specific orb, you will not be able to pick it up. In that case you will simply walk through it, allowing one of your teammates to collect it.
