Plants vs. Zombies 2: Defeat Level 25 in Big Wave Beach

Plants vs. Zombies 2

Plants vs. Zombies 2

We claimed in our last walkthrough that level 23 of the Big Wave Beach world is one of the hardest Plants vs. Zombies 2 stages to beat. Well, we were wrong, as we quickly noticed in level 25 of that same world. The stage wants you to do something contradictory. On the one hand, you are asked to spend no more than 3000 sunlight in total; on the other hand, you have to defeat 10 zombies in 5 seconds. Not to mention that there are 3 massive waves of zombies, the first one quite early on in the level. We tried many different approaches until we finally found one that allowed us to make it through without even having to rely on our lawnmowers. The level features Regular, Conehead, Buckethead, Snorkel, Surfer, Fisherman, and Octo Zombies as well as two Deep Sea Gargantuars – one during the second wave and the other during the final wave.

This is what the lawn looked like at the end of the level.

The tasks for this level dictate which plants you should select. You need a good amount of sun, but shouldn’t really devote too much room for the respective plant, considering that you only have three rows of dry beach. We recommend selecting Twin Sunflowers. While they are quite expensive, they give you twice the amount of sunlight. Focus on positioning three Twin Sunflowers as soon as possible - one on the top lane, one on the middle lane, and one on the bottom lane to the very left. The first zombie that approaches should be taken care of with a Tangle Kelp. Aside from that first Snorkel Zombie, we recommend saving the Tangle Kelp for the irritating Fishermen.

Since you only have 3000 sunlight to use, we suggest equipping yourself with Puff-Shrooms and Iceberg Lettuce to freeze some of the pesky walking dead. Plant a Puff-Shroom when the trio of zombies arrives after the first Snorkeler. As soon as you can, plant a Bowling Bulb. Your goal should be to have two or three Lightning Reeds and at least five Bowling Bulbs. Keep an eye on your sunlight at all times. Sometimes, it makes sense to use the Guacodiles as a quick way to dash through an entire lane and harm several zombies at once. Make smart use of your green leaves as well. Use them for your Bowling Bulbs or Lightning Reeds depending on the situation. Constantly place new Puff-Shrooms, as they don’t require any sunlight anyways. If you keep an eye on the Fishermen and use the green leaves in smart moments (especially when the Octo Zombies arrive, as they can get quite irritating as well), you should be able to make it through the level.
