Plants vs. Zombies 2: Survive in Level 27 of Big Wave Beach

Level 27 in the Big Wave Beach might not be the hardest stage in this world, but it is surely not easy. We decided to give you a short walkthrough, as we found that there was a pretty easy way to make it through the level without losing even a single plant.

This was our setup in the end of the level!

One of the difficulties of this stage is that five plants are already chosen for you, namely Twin Sunflower, Lily Pad, Wall-Nut, Bonk Choy, and Banana Launchers. It is of utmost importance to be able to use the Banana Launchers if you want to succeed in this level. Keep in mind however that they each cost 500 sunlight. Your goal should be to constantly get more sunlight throughout the battle. We recommend equipping yourself with Sun-Shrooms and Lightning Reeds. You will face the entire collection of Big Wave Beach zombies except for Deep Sea Gargantuars.

Ergh... we hate them.

Ergh... we hate them.

Begin by planting two Sun-Shrooms before you plant your first Twin Sunflower. The Sun-Shrooms should be placed on the available Lily-Pads in the second row and the first Twin Sunflower on the Lily Pad in the first row. Protect yourself against the first approaching zombie with a Wall-Nut which you position in the fourth or fifth row. Use the time to plant two more Sun-Shrooms. Your first plants for defense should be Lightning Reeds. Also focus on positioning more Wall-Nuts in the beginning and plant two more Twin Sunflowers. Make sure to have at least one (preferably two) Banana Launchers for the first wave of zombies. Mostly use them against Fishermen and Octo Zombies. If you follow our setup above, you should have smooth sailing!
