Weak Spot Guide: Waffenträger Auf E100 - World of Tanks Guru

The Waffenträger Auf E 100 is a formidable foe when it comes to firepower at tier 10 since it’s auto-loading gun is very deadly.  It’s armor on the other hand suffers from serious weak spots since it’s turret is very impracticable and covered in very thin armor.  The hull armor on the other hand is decent for a tier 10 tank albeit lacking in areas it can still stop poorly aimed shots.  High explosive shells can do massive damage the turret if you avoid hitting the gun as well.

The index at the bottom of each picture describes a few abbreviations used and also the format in which the armor details are described in. Effective Armor (EA) refers to the overall effectiveness of the armor without normalization.  The purple sections on each view represent places such as the track armor or view ports that you can do module damage but not HP damage.  For this guide the purple sections on the turret include the large gun module the Waffenträger Auf E 100 has.  While this module can be hit to do HP damage in spots you will still want to avoid hitting it since it can still provide 0 damage shots if you hit it in a spot with no hull armor behind or or if the hull armor is far away.

Frontal Views

Frontally you can see very quickly that while the frontal hull armor is tough the turret armor is very weak and provides no protection.  Avoid the hull if you have a clear shot at the turret since you can load HE(if you have a short reload) and do more damage by hitting the green sections of the turret.  Most tanks facing the Waffenträger Auf E 100 can go through the lower frontal glacis if you don’t have a clear shot at the turret.

Side View

Much like the frontal views from the side the Waffenträger Auf E 100 is very weak on the turret with the hull armor being much stronger.  At tier 10 however almost all tanks can punch through all armor on the side from this angle, just keep in mind that you don’t want to hit the gun or to low on the hull.

Rear View

Sticking with the same approach you can simply ignore the hull armor and focus on the turret.  I would avoid shooting around the gun here as well since it can either mess up your HE damage or your shell wont hit any armor behind the gun sections.

Angled View

The Waffenträger Auf E 100 does improve it’s armor if it slightly angles since the side armor is not to shabby.  Unfortunately for Waffenträger Auf E 100 drivers the turret is so large that is usually does not matter.  Simply aim at the turret(avoiding the gun) and do damage every time.
