Guide Wukong League of Legends S6

Stone Skin

(Innate): Wukong's armor and magic resistance are increased by 4 / 6 / 8 for each nearby enemy champion.

  • Range: 1400

Tips :

Powerful passive in teamfight that makes Wukong resistant to the damages of the opposing team and concentrates you on the offensive objects while keeping your survivability up.

Note, you must have vision on the target for your passive to be active, therefore it does not allow you to reveal enemy presence in its (bigà range of 1400.

Crushing Blow (Q)

(Active): Wukong's next attack, within 5 seconds, will deal additional physical damage and will reduce the enemy's armor by 30% for 3 seconds.

  • Cost: 40 mana
Tips :

Wukong strikes the target with his staff

Some damages and the armour buff!

The spell that makes the armour penetration even more interesting
Resets the attack timer, it is therefore more efficient to max the DPS than to do an attack followed by this ability.

The low mana cost of this spell will let you use it excessively. The spell has a range worth 125 more than those of your auto-attacks, this can be very useful for killing an opponent who is just a little too far from you. The bonus range also allows you to harass in lane while being just out of a standard melee opponent's range, however be careful aggro from the minions.

This spell reduces your target's armour by 30%. It synergises very well with the armour penetration because with The Brutalizer and Last Whisper, when using the spell before using your ultimate with the bonus runes, you will deal pure damages to an opponent with 81 armour. It is therefore very useful to use this spell followed by your ultimate to max your damages and kill your enemy.

The damage bonus works on all the towers, same goes for the reset of the attack timer.

    Cooldown: 9 / 8 / 7 / 6 / 5 seconds

    Total Physical Damage: 30 / 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 (+1.1 per attack damage)

Decoy (W)

(Active): Wukong becomes stealthed for 1.5 seconds and leaves an uncontrollable decoy that doesn't attack or move from the place he activated it. The decoy will deal magic damage to nearby enemies after 1.5 seconds.

  • Diameter of AoE: 350
Tips :

Wukong becomes invisible and his clone makes you think he is immobile

Wukong's main escape spell !

The spell that allows you to engage with your opponents and brain them
It is possible to pretend to be using Decoy by pressing the S key, to make your opponents believe that you are invisible. This makes it possible to use the E then the invisibility to escape. This is easy to do, as well as powerful, as requires some self control. Note that this technique does not work against complete beginners who do not know Wukong's spells.

Decoy allows you to take the minions aggro, but not that of the tower because you are obviously visible under the opposing tower.

Casting this spell in a bush will allow you to reach your target with the E without him expecting you.

Wukong is invisible but still affected by zone attacks and skillshots.

This spell allows you to avoid the retaliation of your opponent in the lane phase after doing your E/A combo. But be careful, you don't have infinite mana.

The invisibility is relatively short so you must use it effectively, to reach a bush or to brain your opponents.

The clone appears behind Wukong, this can be useful for tankin Caitlyn's ultimate, Blitz's grab or Nidalee's Javelin!

    Cost: 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 / 70 mana

    Cooldown: 18 / 16 / 14 / 12 / 10 seconds

    Magic Damage: 70 / 115 / 160 / 205 / 250 (+0.6 per ability power)

Nimbus Strike (E)

(Active): Wukong dashes on a cloud toward a target enemy and sends out images to attack up to 2 additional enemies near his target, dealing physical damage to each enemy struck. He also gains an attack speed bonus for 4 seconds after hitting a target with this skill.

  • Cooldown: 8 seconds
  • Range to center of AoE: 625
  • Diameter of AoE: 325
Tips :

Wukong charges his target, giving the impression of having tripled.

Wukong's gap closer and attack speed!

The spell that allows you to charge/catch your target

The attack speed bonus that only lasts 4 seconds, also if you use your ultimate, which also lasts 4 seconds, immediately after the E, you will not have profited from the bonus at all. This is not necessarily all that bad if you can kill your target with just your ultimate.

Allows you to push your lane quickly, since it deals damages to three targets, and gives you the attack speed bonus.

The range of this spell is 625. You can go through walls if you have vision on an opponent or a neutral monster.

Excellent gap closer which allows you to charge at your target. Using the invisibility followed by a gap closer can surprise in a gank.

    Cost: 45 / 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 mana

    Physical Damage: 60 / 105 / 150 / 195 / 240 (+0.8 per bonus attack damage)

    Attack Speed Bonus: 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50 %

Cyclone (R)

(Active): Wukong's staff grows outwards and he spins it around for up to 4 seconds, dealing damage every second and knocking down enemies once per cast. Wukong gains 5% movement speed bonus every half second for the duration of the spell, with the bonus disappearing once he stops spinning. Wukong cannot attack or use other abilities while Cyclone is on, but he can deactivate it at any time.

  • Cost: 100 mana
  • Diameter of AoE: 325
Tips :

Wukong spins around and his staff grows.

Some monstrous zone damages!

The ultimate that can kill the opposing team
The ultimate is very powerful for inflicting the maximum damage in teamfight, however an exhaust would be fatal against Wukong's DOT.

Opponents can use their exhausts even when tossed into the air to reduced your damages.

During their projection into the air it can be good if Wukong continues to advance in the direction in which his target will try to escape or flash, allowing him to max his damages.

The ultimate gives you a movement speed bonus to catch your targets.

    Cooldown: 120 / 105 / 90 seconds

    Physical Damage Per Second: 20 / 110 / 200 (+1.2 per attack damage)

    Total Physical Damage: 80 / 440 / 800 (+4.8 per attack damage)

Pros

Good burst in the early/mid game.

Quite easy to get used to using.

Decoy will allow you to brain your opponents.

The ultimate can inflict a lot of damage in a teamfight.

Can snowball well thanks to his gap closer.

The A reduces your targets armour and lets your do your burst.

An aggressive gameplay.

Against good players your must know how to brain the exhausts then follow up with Decoy then your ultimate.

Wukong can gank efficiently, especially on the botlane.

Cons

WATCH OUT for exhausts which can reduce the damage of your ultimate by 70% for 2.5 seconds!

Wukong must play aggressively to start with to profit from his power in the early.

Quite a weak late game against good player, even more so if they have exhausts!

If your opponent is good and possesses a champion who is adapted and who is stacking armour then it is unlikely that you will be able to kill him.
