Troops Needed To Beat A T4 Rally (updated)

I can't even count the number of times you guys have asked me about this in the last week! lol

Fortunately it's relatively simple and I'm going to clear a lot of things up for you guys right now with two simple tables.

Troop Tier Comparison

These are the number of Tier 1s needed to compare to the other troop tiers.

Troops Needed to Equal A 2.375M T4 Rally

So, 8.312mil T1 is needed to beat a T4 rally of 2.375mil ... and so ...

I gave you guys the multiples so you can calculate troops needed for smaller rallies sizes.

WARNING: This does not factor in the war boosts and better research someone with T4 will have over someone with T3. Therefore, if you have not maxed out your research, hero tree, nor have great gear than you will need many more troops to compete against a T4 rally.

(If someone wants to create a helpful spreadsheet calculator for this that would be awesome:)

What Most People Do

Most people will have a combination of troop tiers to combat against a T4 rally. Meaning they will have something like: 2-4M T3 mixed, 2-4M T2, and 4-8M T1 roughly.

Addressing Your Feedback

A lot of people in the comments are saying this information isn't super useful because of my warning above about the differentiation of boosts. I agree with you but I still think this information is important when establishing a baseline amount of troops. You know you will have to scale up, but you now know the amount of troops above is a very good place to start.

People were asking me, "how come I'm losing against 2mil T4 when I have 2.5mil T3." They need way more than 2.5mil T3. So, you can see how useful this information is for them. If you are at this point, don't worry, we were all there at some point. Now you know better!
