Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is all about collecting heroes, powering them up, and using them together to defeat your foes.
It's pretty straightforward stuff for the most part, but increasing your characters' stats can be a bit confusing because it isn't explained all that well in the tutorial.
Don't panic - here's a quick guide to help you turn your padawans into jedi knights.
Power up wisely
To improve your characters' power in Galaxy of Heroes you canequip them with better gear, promote them, upgrade their abilities, and level them up.
Gear and ability upgrades are easy to wrap your head around as they're relatively linear, but gaining promotion levels is a new concept.
Each promotion level increases your stat gain per level so you should use this to your advantage.
How level caps work
The max level of your characters can always ever beequal to or below your player level. Keep that in mind as you train your heroes.
Don't waste experience!
You use consumable items to level your characters up rather than grind in combat.
Try not to use those precious training remotes when characters are near the level cap. If you use too many, you'll waste resources for no gain!
Conserve credits
Credits are handed out in abundance at the beginning of Galaxy of Heroes, which lulls you into a false sense of security. As you play, credits become more of a rarity.
With that in mind, it's probably best for you to focus on leveling up your favourite characters so they can grind out credits and bring up low level characters later on.
Or, you know, you could spend some money on crystals to help you out too. If you wanted.
